Abstract
In this study, a novel natural deep eutectic solvent was prepared from glucose, pregabalin, and urea. The prepared solvent was identified using a variety of techniques, including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), derivative thermogravimetry (DTG), differential thermal analysis (DTA), and refractive index measurements (RI). The prepared deep eutectic solvent was then utilized for the one-pot synthesis of quinazolinone derivatives. The yields of the product obtained with and without the catalyst were determined, providing insights into the catalytic efficiency of the system. This protocol offers several advantages, including mild reaction conditions, easy reagent preparation, a green process, short reaction times (2-60 min), high yields (80-99%), and a straightforward procedure with the possibility of catalyst reusability.

Abstract
A novel core-shell structured magnetic cobalt oxide supported organosilica-sulfonic acid (Co3O4@SiO2/OS-SO3H) nanocomposite is prepared through a low-cost, simple, and clean method. The characterization of Co3O4@SiO2/OS-SO3H was performed by using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The TGA and FT-IR results illustrate the high stability of the designed nanocomposite. The SEM image showed a size of about 40 nm for the Co3O4@SiO2/OS-SO3H nanoparticles. Furthermore, according to the result of VSM analysis, the saturation magnetization of this nanocomposite was about 25 emu/g. This novel material was used as an efficient nanocatalyst for the synthesis of biologically active tetrahydrobenzo[a]xanthen-11-one derivatives. These products were obtained in high to excellent yields under green conditions. The recoverability and reusability of this catalyst were also investigated under applied conditions.

Abstract
Acid catalysis is widely used in the chemical industry, and nowadays many efforts are being focused on replacing the more common homogeneous catalysts with heterogeneous ones in order to make greener the industrial processes. In this perspective, sulfonic solid acid materials represent a valid alternative to the homogenous mineral acid in several acid catalyzed reactions. In this minireview, an overview of the recent advances on the preparation, stability and application of these materials is reported. Special attention is addressed to the sustainability of the considered processes, starting from the catalyst’s preparation, the use of green solvents and reducing the possible reaction steps. Ways to tackle the main drawback represented by easy leaching of acid groups are described. For an easy catalyst recovery, the use of a magnetic core in a catalyst particle, with the related synthetic approaches, is also illustrated. Finally, a section is dedicated to the principal characterization techniques to identify the structural properties of the catalysts.

Abstract
Magnetically separable Brønsted acidic catalysts combine the advantages of
high efficiency of homogeneous Brønsted acidic catalyst with the ease of magnetic
separation from the reaction medium. In addition to their ease of separation, the
magnetically separable Brønsted acidic catalysts also possess high stability towards air
and moisture, facile functionalization and tunable hydrophobic properties. This review
portrays the applications of sulfonic acid anchored γ -Fe2O3 or Fe3O4 nanoparticles,
magnetic core encapsulated acid functionalized silica or mesoporous nanoparticles,
functionalized ionic liquid coated acidic magnetically separable nanoparticles and
miscellaneous magnetically separable Brønsted acidic nanoparticles in diverse organic
transformations. In addition, the merits of magnetically separable Brønsted acid
nanocatalyst are also summarized and compared with the traditional homogeneous/heterogeneous Brønsted
acidic catalysts.

Abstract
In this study, SO3H@zeolite-Y was synthesized by the reaction of chlorosulfonic acid with zeolite-NaY under solvent-free conditions, which was then supported by Fe3O4 nanoparticles to give SO3H@zeolite-Y (Fe3O4/SO3H@zeolite-Y) magnetic nanoparticles. Several techniques were used to evaluate the physical and chemical characterizations of the zeolitic nanostructures. Fe3O4-loaded sulfonated zeolite was applied as a novel multi-functional zeolite catalyst for the synthesis of imidazole and perimidine derivatives. This efficient methodology has some advantages such as good to excellent yield, high purity of products, reusability of nanocatalyst, simple reaction conditions, environmental friendliness and an economical chemical procedure from the viewpoint of green chemistry. Fe3O4/SO3H@zeolite-Y was applied as a novel, effective and environmentally friendly magnetic nanocatalyst for the synthesis of imidazole and perimidine scaffolds.![]()
