Copper-Catalyzed Enaminone C(sp2)-N Bond Phosphonation for Stereoselective Synthesis of Alkenylphosphonates

A direct enaminone C-N bond coupling functionalization that generates a new C-P bond using dialkyl phosphonate for the efficient and stereoselective synthesis of (E)-alkenylphosphonates is reported. The reactions toward target products proceed well with a broad scope, disclosing a valuable new synthetic application of enaminones by the interesting C(sp²)-N bond elaboration.

Boron Lewis Acid-Catalyzed Hydrophosphinylation of N-Heteroaryl-Substituted Alkenes with Secondary Phosphine Oxides

We report the boron-catalyzed hydrophosphinylation of N-heteroaryl-substituted alkenes with secondary phosphine oxides that furnishes various phosphorus-containing N-heterocycles. This process proceeds under mild conditions and enables the introduction of a phosphorus atom into multisubstituted alkenylazaarenes. The available mechanistic data can be explained by a reaction pathway wherein the C-P bond is created by the reaction between the activated alkene (by coordination to a boron catalyst) and the phosphorus(III) nucleophile (in tautomeric equilibrium with phosphine oxide).

B(C6F5)3-catalyzed Markovnikov addition of indoles to aryl alkynes: an approach toward bis(indolyl)alkanes

The first example of the metal- and solvent-free B(C6F5)3-catalyzed Markovnikov addition of indoles to aryl alkynes was disclosed. Both N-H and N-protected indoles were tolerated, leading to a wide spectrum of versatile bis(indolyl)alkanes in moderate to good yields with high regioselectivities.

One-pot bifunctionalization of unactivated alkenes, P(O)–H compounds, and N-methoxypyridinium salts for the construction of β-pyridyl alkylphosphonates

An efficient phosphono-heteroarylation of unactivated alkenes was developed through a one-pot bifunctionalization process to give access to β-pyridylphosphine structural motifs.
