Abstract
A new eco-friendly catalytic system is devised for C-C bond formation through Suzuki coupling, using an impressive nanocatalyst (Fe3O4/L-(+)-tartaric acid/Pd-NPs). It contains immobilized palladium (0) onto magnetite nanoparticles, stabilized by tartaric acid, and is characterized by FT-IR, XRD, EDS, SEM, TEM, TGA, and VSM. The catalyst is used in an efficient synthesis of biaryls in EtOH/H2O (1:1), in the presence of K2CO3. Our Fe3O4/tartaric acid/Pd-NPs exhibit magnetic recoverability and reusability for five cycles without measurable loss of its activity.

Abstract
Fe3O4 nanoclusters have attractive applications in various areas, due to their outstanding superparamagnetism. In this work, we realized a one-step flow synthesis of Fe3O4 nanoclusters, within minutes, through the sequential and quantitative introduction of reactants and modifier in a microflow system. The enhanced micromixing performance enabled a prompt and uniform supply of the modifier oleic acid (OA) for both nanoparticle modification and nanocluster stabilization to avoid uncontrolled modified nanoparticles aggregation. The size of the nanoclusters could be flexibly tailored in the range of 50–100 nm by adjusting the amount of OA, the pH, and the temperature. This rapid method proved the possibility of large-scale and stable production of magnetic nanoclusters and provided convenience for their applications in broad fields.

Abstract
The Pd catalyst for Suzuki–Miyaura or the other C–C coupling reactions is one of the central tools in organic synthesis related to medicine, agricultural chemicals and advanced materials. However, recycling palladium is a bottleneck for developing the extreme potential of Pd in chemistry. Herein, we established a new heterogeneous Pd catalytic system in which the catalyst is a nanopetal-gathered flower-like microsphere self-assembled from PdCl2 and alkyl-linked bis-theophyllines. The microflowers catalyzed quantitatively the reaction of aryl bromides and phenylboronic acid in aqueous media at room temperature. It was found that the reaction proceeds better in an air atmosphere than in nitrogen gas even though the Pd(ii) species employed was lowered to 0.001 mol% in the substance. Very interestingly, the microflowers could be recycled 20 times without deactivation in the C–C coupling reaction between bromobenzene and phenylboronic acid in the presence of sodium chloride. We found that the sodium chloride added played an important role in maintaining the morphology of microflowers and preventing the formation of metallic Pd particles. Bis-theophylline-palladium complex exhibit high catalytic activity in the C–C coupling reaction with excellent recyclability in the presence of NaCl.![]()

Abstract
A new heterogeneous photoredox nanocatalyst WO3/ZnO@NH2-EY (EY: eosin Y) was fabricated and characterized employing some instrumental techniques such as XRD, FT-IR, ICP, TGA, and SEM. The photocatalytic efficiency of the prepared material was investigated in the preparation of various chromeno[4,3-b]chromenes via a simple and practical method. The chromene derivatives were prepared through the condensation of aromatic aldehydes, dimedone, and coumarin under an open-air atmosphere in the presence of a green LED under solventless conditions. The significant advantages of this new method include low reaction time, easy work-up, cost-effective, wide substrate scope, excellent yield, and complete atom economy of the final products. Moreover, the prepared photocatalyst could be frequently recovered up to four times with only a little decrease in the catalytic activity. Furthermore, the progress of the condensation reaction is demonstrated to occur via a radical mechanism, which shows that reactive species such as ˙O2− and OH˙ together with h+ would be involved in the photocatalytic process. Stability and reusability studies also warranty good reproducibility of the nanocatalyst for at least 4 runs. Eventually, a hot filtration test ensured that the nanohybrid catalyst is stable in the reaction medium and its catalytic activity originates from the whole undecomposed conjugated composite. WO3/ZnO@NH2-EY is disclosed in the preparation of chromenes under air in the presence of a green LED. ˙O2−, OH˙, and h+ are proposed as reactive species and hot filtration test assured stability and reusability of the nanocatalyst.![]()

Abstract
In this paper, highly stable, powerful, and recyclable magnetic nanoparticles tethered N-heterocyclic carbene-palladium(II) ((CH3)3-NHC-Pd@Fe3O4) as magnetic nanocatalyst was successfully synthesized from a simplistic multistep synthesis under aerobic conditions through easily available low-cost chemicals. Newly synthesized (CH3)3-NHC-Pd@Fe3O4 magnetic nanocatalyst was characterized from various analytical tools and catalytic potential of the (CH3)3-NHC-Pd@Fe3O4 magnetic nanocatalyst was studied for the catalytic reduction of toxic 4-nitrophenol (4-NP), hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)), Methylene Blue (MB) and Methyl Orange (MO) at room temperature in aqueous media. UV-Visible spectroscopy was employed to monitor the reduction reactions. New (CH3)3-NHC-Pd@Fe3O4 magnetic nanocatalyst exhibited excellent catalytic activity for the reduction of toxic environmental pollutants. Moreover, (CH3)3-NHC-Pd@Fe3O4 magnetic nanocatalyst could be easily and rapidly separated from the reaction mixture with the help of an external magnet and recycled minimum five times in reduction of 4-NP, MB, MO and four times in Cr(VI) without significant loss of catalytic potential and remains stable even after reuse.

Powdery, spherical nanoparticles (NPs) containing ppm levels of palladium ligated by t-Bu3P, derived from FeCl3, upon simple exposure to water undergo a remarkable alteration in their morphology leading to nanorods that catalyze Mizoroki-Heck (MH) couplings. Such NP alteration is general, shown to occur with three unrelated phosphine ligand-containing NPs. Each catalyst has been studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and cryogenic transmission electron microscopy (cryo-TEM) analyses. Couplings that rely specifically on NPs containing t-Bu3P-ligated Pd occur under aqueous micellar catalysis conditions between room temperature and 45 °C, and show broad substrate scope. Other key features associated with this new technology include low residual Pd in the product, recycling of the aqueous reaction medium, and an associated low E Factor. Synthesis of the precursor to galipinine, a member of the Hancock family of alkaloids, is suggestive of potential industrial applications.

Abstract
The unique properties of N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) as an effective ligand for palladium catalytic centers have recently found much attention. In this work, Fe3O4 nanoparticle supported palladium(II)-N-heterocyclic carbene catalyst was successfully designed, synthesized and characterized by various methods. The activity of the catalyst was evaluated in the Mizoroki-Heck cross-coupling reaction in which the desired products were obtained in high yield in H2O as a green solvent. The reaction was carried out in short reaction times using low amounts of the catalyst. Moreover, the catalyst was easily separated from the reaction media and reused for 5 cycles.
