Abstract
Cancer stands as a serious malady, posing substantial risks to human well-being and survival. This underscores the paramount necessity to explore and investigate novel antitumor medications. Nitrogen-containing compounds, especially those derived from natural sources, form a highly significant category of antitumor agents. Among these, antitumor agents with six-membered aromatic nitrogen heterocycles have consistently attracted the attention of chemists and pharmacologists. Accordingly, we present a comprehensive summary of synthetic strategies and clinical implications of these compounds in this review. This entails an in-depth analysis of synthesis pathways for pyridine, quinoline, pyrimidine, and quinazoline. Additionally, we explore the historical progression, targets, mechanisms of action, and clinical effectiveness of small molecule inhibitors possessing these structural features.

Abstract
A visible-light-induced photocatalyst-free three-component radical tandem cyclization of N-propargylamine and N-allylbromodifluoroacetamides with the insertion of sulfur dioxide has been developed. Diverse difluoroamidosulfonylated quinolines are obtained in moderate to good yields. This protocol features broad functional group tolerance and high regioselectivity. Moreover, mechanistic studies reveal the involvement of the radical pathway and the formation of an electron donor-acceptor (EDA) complex in this reaction.

Abstract
In the arena of functional group-oriented organic synthesis, the nitrile or cyano functionality is of immense importance. The presence of nucleophilic N -atom, π-coordinating ability of the triple bond, and electrophilic C-center imparts unique and interesting reactivity. Owing to the ability of the nitrile to transform into various other functional groups or intermediates, the chemistry is very rich and diverse. In particular, the involvement of nitrile in numerous organic reactions such as inter- or intramolecular alkyne insertion, [2 + 2 + 2] cycloaddition with alkynes, [3 + 2] cycloaddition with azides, [4 + 2] cycloaddition with diene allow the synthesis of many important carbocycles and heterocycles. Furthermore, the nitrile serves as a directing group in many C-H bond functionalization reactions to introduce diverse functionality and participate as a radical acceptor in radical cascade strategies to obtain a large variety of functional molecules. This review mainly focuses on the reactivity and diverse synthetic application of the nitrile including C-H bond functionalization, alkyne insertion, cycloaddition, and thermal or photochemical cascade strategy. The objective of the current review aims at bringing out the striking collection of various nitrile-triggered organic transformations.

Abstract
A visible-light-induced cascade cyanoalkylsulfonylation/cyclization/aromatization of N-propargyl aromatic amines with K2S2O5 and cyclobutanone oxime esters for the construction of cyanoalkylsulfonylated quinolines is developed. This cascade transformation features mild reaction conditions, a broad substrate scope, and excellent functional group compatibility, providing a convenient route toward cyanoalkylsulfonylated quinolines via the formation of a C-C bond and two C-S bonds in one step.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Quinoline-containing compounds present in both natural and synthetic products are an important class of heterocyclic compounds. Many of the substituted quinolines have been used in various areas including medicine as drugs. Compounds with quinoline skeleton possess a wide range of bioactivities such as antimalarial, anti-bacterial, anthelmintic, anticonvulsant, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic activity. Due to such a wide range of applicability, the synthesis of quinoline derivatives has attracted a lot of attention of chemists to develop effective methods. Many known methods have been expanded and improved. Furthermore, various new methods for quinoline synthesis have been established. This review will focus on considerable studies on the synthesis of quinolines date which back to 2014. OBJECTIVE In this review, we discussed recent achievements on the synthesis of quinoline compounds. Some classical methods have been modified and improved, while other new methods have been developed. A vast variety of catalysts were used for these transformations. In some studies, quinoline synthesis reaction mechanisms were also displayed. CONCLUSION Many methods for the synthesis of substituted quinoline rings have been developed recently. Over the past five years, the majority of those reported have been based on cycloisomerization and cyclization processes. Undoubtedly, more imaginative approaches to quinoline synthesis will appear in the literature in the near future. The application of known methods to natural product synthesis is probably the next challenge in the field.

Abstract
The selective incorporation of fluorinated motifs, in particular CF2FG (FG=a functional group) and CF2H groups, into organic compounds has attrracted increasing attention since organofluorine molecules are of the utmost importance in the areas of nuclear imaging, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and material sciences. A variety of synthetic approaches has been employed in late-stage difluoroalkylation reactions. Visible light photoredox catalysis for the production of CF2FG and CF2H radicals has provided a more sustainable alternative to other conventional radical-triggered reactions from the viewpoint of safety, cost, availability, and "green" chemistry. A wide range of difluoroalkylating reagents has been successfully implemented in these organic transformations in the presence of transition metal complexes or organic photocatalysts. In most cases, upon excitation via visible light irradiation with fluorescent light bulbs or blue light-emitting diode (LED) lamps, these photocatalysts can act as both reductive and oxidative quenchers, thus enabling the application of electron-donor or electron-acceptor difluoroalkylating reagents for the generation of CF2FG and CF2H radicals. Subsequent radical addition to substrates and additional organic transformations afford the corresponding difluoroalkylated derivatives. The present review describes the distinct strategies for the transition metal- and organic-photocatalyzed difluoroalkylation of a broad range of organic substrates by visible light irradiation reported in the literature since 2014.

Abstract
A three component reaction with two different ketones and aromatic amines was firstly investigated. The difference in reactivity between ordinary ketones and ketone esters allowed for the production of 1,2-DHQs efficiently. The possible Skraup reaction with 2 equiv. of the same ketones was prohibited due to the fast formation of imines.
