Abstract
An efficient approach for the synthesis of chiral pyrrolo[1,2-d][1,4]thiazine-2-carbaldehydes is achieved via formal 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition/rearrangement reactions of benzothiazolium salt and α,β-unsaturated aldehydes, utilizing an asymmetric organocatalyst. This process results in the formation of fluorescent, highly enantioenriched chiral molecules with three contiguous stereogenic centers, one of which is a chiral quaternary center, with excellent yields and enantio- and diastereoselectivity. A computational study demonstrated the understanding of the reaction mechanism. The synthetic utility of this protocol was successfully employed for gram scale synthesis. Fluorescent and in silico studies showed the application of the present methodology.

Abstract
[3 + 2] Cycloaddition reactions of heteroaromatic N-ylides with electron-deficient olefins have been developed. The heteroaromatic N-ylides, in situ generated from N-phenacylbenzothiazolium bromides, can smoothly react with maleimides under very mild conditions, affording fused polycyclic octahydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrroles in good-to-excellent isolated yields. This reaction concept could also be extended to 3-trifluoroethylidene oxindoles and benzylidenemalononitriles as electron-deficient olefins for accessing highly functionalized polyheterocyclic compounds. A gram-scale experiment was also carried out to verify the practicability of the methodology.

Abstract
Pyrrolo[2,1-b][1,3]benzothiazoles are an important class of fused sulfur and nitrogen-containing heterocycles intensively studied in medicinal chemistry and pharmacology. In the present paper, a new synthetic approach to pyrrolobenzothiazoles is developed based on 1,4-thiazine ring contraction in 3-aroylpyrrolo[2,1-c][1,4]benzothiazine-1,2,4-triones under the action of nucleophiles. The proposed approach works well with alkanols, benzylamine, and arylamines. The scope and limitations of the developed approach are studied. The synthesized pyrrolobenzothiazole derivatives represent an interest to pharmaceutics, since their close analogs show CENP-E inhibitory activity, interesting for the targeted cancer therapy development.

Abstract
Herein, a convenient and efficient synthesis of 7-benzoyl-6-(aryl)-6,7-dihydro-5H-furo[2,3-d]thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidin-5-one derivatives was achieved from the reaction of isoquinolinium N-ylides, aromatic aldehydes, and heterocyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds via one-pot three-component diastereoselective domino reaction in good-to-excellent yields. The advantages of this protocol are easily available starting materials, operational simplicity, and avoidance of hazardous organic solvents and catalyst. The synthesized products were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectra. Additionally, the conclusive structure of target compounds was confirmed by X-Ray diffraction analysis.

The DBU promoted domino annulation reaction of 2-aryl-3-nitrochromenes with two molecular 4-(N,N-dimethylamino)-1-phenacylpyridinium bromides in DMF resulted in unprecedented 1-benzoyl-2,4-diaryldibenzo[b,d]furane derivatives in good yields.

Abstract
The 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of (Z)-5-arylidene[1,3]thiazolo[3,2-b][1,2,4]triazol-6(5H)-one and azomethine ylide, which was generated in situ by the reaction of N-4-methoxyphenacylbenzothiazolium bromides and triethylamine, afforded novel 2-(aryl)-1-(4-methoxybenzoyl)-1,2-dihydrospiro[pyrrolo[2,1-b][1,3]benzothiazole-3,5′-[1,3]thiazolo[3,2-b][1,2,4]triazol]-6′-ones in moderate yields. The structures of all the products were characterised thoroughly by NMR, IR and HRMS spectroscopy together with X-ray crystallographic analysis.

Abstract
The 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of ethyl-5-aryl-2-[( Z)-2-methoxy-2-oxoethylidene]-7-methyl-3-oxo-3,5-dihydro-2 H-thiazolo[3,2- a] pyrimidine-6-carboxylates and azomethine ylide, which was generated in situ by the reaction of N-4-methoxyphenacylbenzothiazolium bromides and triethylamine, yielded novel 6′-ethyl-2-methyl-5′-aryl-1-(4-methoxybenzoyl)-7-methyl-3′-oxo-1,2-dihydro-5 H-spiro[pyrrolo[2,1- b][1,3]benzothiazole-3,2′-[1,3]thiazolo[3,2- a]pyrimidine]-2,6′-dicarboxylates in moderate yields. Abstract
A number of 2-aryl-2 H-chromene-4-carbonitriles were synthesised by cyanation of 2-aryl-3-nitro-2 H-chromenes using trimethylsilyl cyanide (TMSCN) in the presence of tetrabutylammonium fluoride (TBAF) in moderate yields via a Michael addition/elimination pathway. The structures of all the products were characterised thoroughly by NMR, IR and HRMS spectroscopy and X-ray crystallographic analysis.

Abstract
Employing a build/couple/pair strategy, a serendipitous one-pot protocol for the diastereoselective construction of diverse collections of chromenopyrroles is described. This methodology features an unprecedented five-step cascade including azomethine ylide generation followed by in situ intramolecular [3 + 2]-cycloaddition. Furthermore, this protocol was extended to access enantiopure chromenopyrroles using amino acids as chiral auxiliary. Moreover, postpairing reactions were employed to increase the diversity and complexity of our pilot compound collections.

Abstract
In the presence of triethylamine, the domino annulation reaction of two molecules of pivaloylacetonitrile with one molecule of 2-aryl-3-nitrochromene in tetrahydrofuran resulted in the unprecedented imino-substituted dihydrofuro[2,3-c]chromene derivatives in high yields.
