Abstract
Tyramine signaling amplification (TSA) technology is generally applied in immunofluorescence, enzyme-linked immunoassays, in situ hybridization techniques, etc. Successful amplification of fluoresence signals cannot be achieved without excellent fluorescent dyes. BODIPY fluorophore is an ideal probe for cell fluorescence imaging, but pristine BODIPY cannot be direct used in the TSA system. In the paper, the new red-shifted tyramide-conjugated BODIPY (BDP-B/C/D) was synthesized via the Knoevenagel condensation reaction, which based on the tyramide-conjugated BODIPY (BDP-A). The synthesized dyes were combined with tyramine to obtain which could be used as a fluorescent substrate for enzymatic reaction of TSA. By using the selected substrate (BDP-C) in TSA, we found it to be more sensitive than the commercial dye 594 styramide for the detection of low-abundance antigen proteins.

Abstract
A highly selective NIR fluorescent turn-on probe for hydroxyl radical (·OH) has been built up using triphenylphosphine as a reactive-site for ·OH in an energy transfer cassette 2b consisting of 8-2'-(thiophen-2-yl) quinoline (TQ) as a donor and 3,5-diphenylphosphinostyryl-substituted BODIPY as an acceptor, which exhibits ca. 317 nm pseudo Stokes' shift due to efficient through-bond energy transfer (up to 169%). The triphenylphosphine substituent of 2b selectively oxidized by ·OH over the other reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the reactive nitrogen species (RNS) resulting in fluorescence enhancement in aqueous solution and in living cells.

Abstract
Herein, we present the synthesis of a series of boron-dipyrromethane (BDP) derivatives bearing diphenylalanine (FF) at their meso position via amide bond coupling. The BDP-FF bioconjugates are able to form self-assembled materials with different morphologies. By altering various parameters such as the protecting group of the FF peptide or the solvent system of the self-assembly process, we were able to obtain either fibrillar or spherical nanostructures. Furthermore, we confirmed that both the formation as well as the dissociation of the self-assemblies is a reversible procedure that can be achieved by simply altering the solvent mixture. Electronic circular dichroism (ECD) studies demonstrated a characteristic mirror image relationship regarding the FLFL and FDFD enantiomers, revealing the chiral nature of the obtained materials. Interestingly, an intense excitonic bisignate signal was observed in the ECD spectrum of the fibrillar structures, whereas the spherical assemblies remained ECD silent. What is more, the electronic circular dichroism studies were supported by quantum chemical calculations.
