Abstract
An unprecedented and novel synthetic route to hexahydropyrrolo[2,3-b]indoles bearing cis-contiguous stereocenters with excellent stereoselectivities (ee of >99%, dr of ≤99:1) has been disclosed that proceeds through the ring opening of activated aziridines with electron deficient 4-substituted indoles followed by a novel cyclization in a domino fashion, thereby obviating the use of 3-substituted indoles as the prerequisite nucleophile. Another efficient synthetic route to tetrahydropyrrolo[4,3,2-de]quinolines in excellent yields (≤93%) and excellent enantioselectivity (ee of >99%) has been established via ring opening of activated aziridines with 4-bromo-1-methyl-1H-indole at relatively higher temperatures followed by Cu(I)-catalyzed intramolecular C-N cyclization in the same pot. The stability and the formation of products at different temperatures are explained by computational studies.

Abstract
In this work, we report a one-pot [3 + 2] cycloaddition of 4-aminopyrazolones, indolenines, and aldehydes. The reaction utilized in situ generated azomethine ylides as 1,3-dipoles and 2-alkenylindolenines as dipolarophiles affording indolenine-derived spiro[pyrazolone-4,2'-pyrrolidine] scaffolds with four contiguous stereocenters with excellent yields (up to 95%) and diastereoselectivities (up to >20 : 1 dr) under simple conditions. The in situ generation of azomethine ylides and dipolarophiles in one pot is a unique feature of this process.

Abstract
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are extensively used in catalysis due to their robust structure, well-defined periodic reaction centers, and high porosity. We report Cu3(BTC)2·(H2O)3 (HKUST-1) as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for aziridination of alkene and ring-opening reaction of activated aziridines. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the transfer of a nitrogen group from PhINTs to olefins and its analogue to give aziridines takes place at the coordinatively unsaturated Cu(II) site of Cu3(BTC)2-MOF; however, the ring opening of activated aziridines is controlled by the Cu(II) Lewis acid site, and generation of coordinative unsaturation by thermal activation of the MOF is not necessarily important. The key advantage of this catalytic approach is the direct formation of C-C, C-N, C-O, and C-S bonds yielding β-aryl sulfonamide derivatives through a simultaneous aziridination ring-opening reaction of the alkene in one pot using a single catalyst.

Abstract
Multiheteroatom-containing small-sized cyclic molecules such as 2-
iminothiazolidines are often found to possess beneficial pharmacological properties. In this
review article, the biological significance of 2-iminothiazolidines is discussed and the literature
reports published in the last 15 years spanning from 2006 to 2020 describing various
preparative routes to access 2-iminothiazolidine derivatives have been categorically and
chronologically described. The notable synthetic methods discussed here involve ringexpansion
transformations of nonactivated and activated aziridines, thiiranes, epoxides, and
other miscellaneous reactions.

Abstract
A novel synthetic approach for the construction of 1,2,3,3a,4,5-hexahydroimidazo[1,2-a]quinolines in good yields (up to 75%) with excellent stereoselectivity (dr up to 94:6, ee up to >99%) under one-pot domino ring-opening cyclization (DROC) conditions has been developed. Abstract
A gold-catalyzed dearomatization reaction of indole derivatives was realized in the presence of JohnPhosAuCl/AgOMs to afford a series of spiroindolenines in excellent yields (≤99%). In addition, when the Hantzsch ester was used as the hydrogen transfer reagent, various spiroindolines were obtained in a cascade fashion starting from readily available indole derivatives in modest to good yields (≤79%). Both reactions feature readily available substrates, mild conditions, and good functional group tolerance.

Abstract
An In(OTf)3-catalyzed domino reaction involving sequential oxidative ring opening of aziridines by using the solvent dimethyl sulfoxide and intramolecular Michael addition has been developed for the modular synthesis of 2-aminoindanone compounds by the formation of one new C═O bond and one new C-C bond. The notable feature of this strategy includes broad substrate scope, excellent trans-diastereoselectivities, highly functionalized products, and mild conditions. The catalyst In(OTf)3 plays an important role in the formation of the indanone ring.

Abstract
A dramatic N-substituent controlled tandem annulation of 2-(2-(2-bromoethyl)phenyl)-1-sulfonylaziridines with 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds has been developed. When the N-substituent was a 4-methylbenzenesulfonyl group (Ts), sequential ring opening of aziridines, nucleophilic substitution, and lactamization took place to provide a series of hexahydrobenz[ e]isoindole compounds in good yields with good diastereoselectivities. By contrast, 3-benzazepine compounds were afforded in good yields via ring opening of aziridines and nucleophilic substitution when the N-substituent was the 4-nitrobenzenesulfonyl group (Ns).
