Abstract
Vascular aging is a pivotal risk factor promoting vascular dysfunction, the development and progression of vascular aging-related diseases. The structure and function of endothelial cells (ECs), vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs), fibroblasts, and macrophages are disrupted during the aging process, causing vascular cell senescence as well as vascular dysfunction. DNA methylation, an epigenetic mechanism, involves the alteration of gene transcription without changing the DNA sequence. It is a dynamically reversible process modulated by methyltransferases and demethyltransferases. Emerging evidence reveals that DNA methylation is implicated in the vascular aging process and plays a central role in regulating vascular aging-related diseases. In this review, we seek to clarify the mechanisms of DNA methylation in modulating ECs, VSMCs, fibroblasts, and macrophages functions and primarily focus on the connection between DNA methylation and vascular aging-related diseases. Therefore, we represent many vascular aging-related genes which are modulated by DNA methylation. Besides, we concentrate on the potential clinical application of DNA methylation to serve as a reliable diagnostic tool and DNA methylation-based therapeutic drugs for vascular aging-related diseases.

Abstract
In the last two decades, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), as a class of porous crystalline materials formed by organic linkers coordinated-metal ions, have attracted increasing attention due to their unique structures and wide applications. Compared to single components, various well-designed MOF-based composites combining MOFs with other functional materials, such as nanoparticles, quantum dots, natural enzymes and polymers with remarkably enhanced or novel properties have recently been reported. To efficiently and directionally synthesize high-performance MOF-based composites for specific applications, it is vital to understand the structural-functional relationships and role of MOFs. In this review, preparation methods of MOF-based composites are first summarized and then the relationship between the structure and performance is determined. The functions of MOFs in practical use are classified and discussed through various examples, which may help chemists to understand the structural-functional relationship in MOF-based composites from a new perspective.

Abstract
A novel catalyst consisting of metallic Ni and porous carbon (PC) confined in SBA-15 was fabricated by the confined pyrolysis of nano-sized Ni-MOF-74 that was in situ grown in the mesopores of SBA-15. Due to the intimate contact between Ni and PC in a fine Ni-PC composite resulting from the confinement effect of mesoporous SBA-15, the catalyst displayed prominent catalytic activity and selectivity in the gas phase catalytic hydrodechlorination of 1,2-dichloroethane.

Abstract
A general, green, efficient, and easily scalable methodology has been developed to more effectively incorporate (disperse) metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) into polymer technologies via solid state synthesis of any MOF nanocrystals within soluble mesoporous polymers. The resulting solid hybrid materials (pellets) can be directly transformed into colloidal MOF polymeric suspensions (inks) by simple dissolution in organic solvents. The straightforward use of novel colloidal MOF polymeric inks as ultimate additive for mixed matrix membranes resulted in unprecedented snakeskin microstructure exhibiting outstanding selectivity for CO2 over N2 (>100) from post-combustion flue gas at very low and well-dispersed MOF nanocrystal concentrations ranging from 1 to 7 wt %. This novel methodology brings one of the most versatile routes yet reported to transform any MOF into more functional forms that can be directly integrated into any conventional polymer technology at the commercial scale.

Abstract
This review analyzes the preparation and characterization of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) and their application as photocatalysts for water purification. The study begins by highlighting the problem of water scarcity and the different solutions for purification, including photocatalysis with semiconductors, such as MOFs. It also describes the different methodologies that can be used for the synthesis of MOFs, paying attention to the purification and activation steps. The characterization of MOFs and the different approaches that can be followed to learn the photocatalytic processes are also detailed. Finally, the work reviews literature focused on the degradation of contaminants from water using MOF-based photocatalysts under light irradiation.
