Synthesis, structure, and fluorescence properties of two metal-organic complexes based on a tripodal carboxamide-containing ligand

Two novel ZnII complexes based on a tripodal carboxamide-containing ligand, [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] (where LL-2 = N′, N″, N′″-tris(pyrid-2-ylmethyl)-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxamide) are synthesized and structurally characterized. The first complex is a zero-dimensional structure which was further connected into a three-dimensional structure via hydrogen bond interactions, while the second complex features a one-dimensional tube-like structure, where the structural diversities were mainly caused by the different anions. The solid-state luminescent properties of the complexes were investigated and powder X-ray diffraction and thermal gravimetric analysis were performed.

Novel 3D anionic heterometallic frameworks based on trinuclear CoII and trinuclear LnIII motifs displaying slow magnetic relaxation and selective adsorption of methylene blue

3D CoLn heterometallic frameworks have been synthesized. CoDy and CoHo show slow magnetic relaxation behavior. CoTb exhibits excellent adsorption capacity for methylene blue.

Two 2D multiresponsive luminescence coordination polymers for selective sensing of Fe3+, CrVI anions and TNP in aqueous medium

Zn(ii)/Cd(ii)-based 2D coordination polymers have been synthesized as luminescence sensors for the selective and reversible sensing of Fe³⁺, CrO₄²⁻, Cr₂O₇²⁻ and TNP in water.

Structural assembly from 1D to 3D motivated by the linear co-ligands, and the magnetic and photocatalytic properties of five NiII coordination polymers with 5-(4′-carboxylphenyl)nicotinic acid

Five structural diversity nickel(ii) complexes based on 5-(4′-carboxylphenyl) nicotinic acid and linear co-ligands are described. The antiferromagnetic interactions exist in them expect for 2. All of them could accelerate the degradation rate of MO under visible light irradiation.

Cooperative effects of metal cations and coordination modes on luminescent s-block metal–organic complexes constructed from V-shaped 4,4′-sulfonyldiphenol

Thirteen s-block metal–organic complexes with different supramolecular networks arising from the coordination modes of the ligands and properties of the metal cations have been synthesized and exhibit violet and blue luminescence in the solid state at room temperature.
