Abstract
The dinuclear β-diketiminato complex [L1ClDy(μ-Cl)3DyL1(THF)] (1) (L1 = {2,6-iPr2C6H3-NC(Me)CHC(Me)N-2,6-iPr2C6H3}-) was obtained by reaction of DyCl3 with KL1 in a molar ratio of 1:1 and used for the preparation of the mixed-ligand complex [L1Dy(μ-3,5-Cat)]2 (2) by salt metathesis reaction with 3,5-CatK2 (3,5-Cat -3,5-di-tert-butyl-catecholate). Reactions of 3,5-CatNa2 with [L2LnCl2(THF)2] (Ln3+ = Dy, Y) ligated with the less bulky ligand L2 = {2,4,6-Me3C6H2-NC(Me)CHC(Me)N-2,4,6-Me3C6H2}- afforded the mixed-ligand THF-containing complexes [L2Ln(μ-3,5-Cat)(THF)]2 (Ln3+ = Dy (3a), Y (3b)). All new complexes were fully characterized, and the solid-state structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Magnetic measurements revealed single-molecule magnet behavior for the dysprosium complexes. Sub-Kelvin μSQUID studies confirm the SMM character of the systems, while CASSCF calculation along with simulation of the experimental data yields an antiferromagnetic interaction operating between the Dy3+ ions.

Abstract
A new Zn(II)-based coordination polymer (1) comprising the Schiff base ligand obtained by the condensation of 5-aminosalicylic acid and salicylaldehyde has been synthesized. This newly synthesized compound has been characterized by analytical and spectroscopic methods, and finally, by single-crystal X-ray diffraction technique in this study. The X-ray analysis reveals a distorted tetrahedral environment around the central Zn(II) center. This compound has been used as a sensitive and selective fluorescent sensor for acetone and Ag+ cations. The photoluminescence measurements indicate that in the presence of acetone, the emission intensity of 1 displays quenching at room temperature. However, other organic solvents caused meagre changes in the emission intensity of 1. Additionally, the fluorescence intensity of 1 has been examined in the presence of different ketones viz. cyclohexanone, 4-heptanone, and 5-nonanone, to assess the interaction between the C=O group of the ketones and the molecular framework of 1. Moreover, 1 displays a selective recognition of Ag+ in the aqueous medium by an enhancement in its fluorescence intensity, representing its high sensitivity for the detection of Ag+ ions in a water sample. Additionally, 1 displays the selective adsorption of cationic dyes (methylene blue and rhodamine B). Hence, 1 showcases its potential as an excellent luminescent probe to detect acetone, other ketones, and Ag+ with an exceptional selectivity, and displaying a selective adsorption of cationic dye molecules.

Abstract
A new dysprosium (III) coordination polymer [Dy(Hm-dobdc) (H2O)2]·H2O (Dy-CP), was hydrothermal synthesized based on 4,6-dioxido-1,3-benzenedicarboxylate (H4m-dobdc) ligand containing carboxyl and phenolic hydroxyl groups. The Dy(III) center adopts an octa-coordinated [DyO8] geometry, which can be described as a twisted square antiprism (D4d symmetry). Neighboring Dy(III) ions are interconnected by deprotonated Hm-dobdc3− ligand to form the two-dimensional infinite layers, which are further linked to generate three-dimensional structure through abundant hydrogen bonds mediated primarily by coordinated and lattice H2O molecules. Magnetic studies demonstrates that Dy-CP shows the field-induced slow relaxation of magnetization and the energy barrier Ueff/kB and relaxation time τ0 are 35.3 K and 1.31 × 10–6 s, respectively. Following the vehicular mechanism, Dy-CP displays proton conductivity with σ equal to 7.77 × 10–8 S cm−1 at 353 K and 30%RH. Moreover, luminescence spectra reveal that H4m-dobdc can sensitize characteristic luminescence of Dy(III) ion. Herein, good magnetism, proton conduction, and luminescence are simultaneously achieved, and thus, Dy-CP is a potential multifunctional coordination polymer material.

Abstract
A series of homodinuclear β-diketone lanthanide(III) complexes, formulated as [(acac)4Ln2(L1)] (Ln3+ = Dy3+ (1), Tb3+ (2), and Gd3+ (3), respectively) were first synthesized based on a closed-macrocyclic ligand (H2L1) derived from the [2 + 2] cyclocondensation of 4-tert-butyl-2,6-diformylphenol and o-phenylenediamine in the presence of lanthanide acetylacetonates. Subsequently, by using the above compounds as building blocks to assemble directly with another Schiff base ligand, N,N'-bis(5-chlorosalicylidene)-o-phenylenediamine (H2L2), three new homodinuclear sandwich-type lanthanide complexes with the general formula [Ln2(L1)(L2)2] (Ln3+ = Dy3+ (4), Tb3+ (5), and Gd3+ (6), respectively) were further designed and prepared. Single-crystal X-ray analyses show that the central Ln3+ ion adopts a distorted square antiprism conformation with D4d local symmetry. Magnetic studies reveal ferromagnetic interaction between Dy3+ and Tb3+ centres and zero-field slow relaxation of magnetization for Dy complexes 1 and 4. The corresponding magneto-structural correlations of SMMs 1 and 4 were further discussed by theoretical calculations and with experimental outcomes.

Abstract
By the bridging action of the 6-chloro-2-hydroxypyridine (Hchp) ligand and the terminal coordination role of the homochiral ligand, (-)/(+)-3-trifluoroacetyl camphor (l-Htfc/d-Htfc), a pair of enantiomerically pure dysprosium(III) dinuclear complexes, [Dy2(l-tfc)4(chp)2(MeOH)2] (l-1) and [Dy2(d-tfc)4(chp)2(MeOH)2] (d-1), was obtained. Their circular dichroism (CD) spectra verified their enantiomeric nature. Magnetic investigation indicated that they exhibit ferromagnetic interaction and good zero field single-molecule magnet (SMM) properties. The Ueff/k values of l-1 and d-1 at 0 Oe are 180.5 and 181.3 K, respectively, which are large values for homochiral Dy(III) SMMs. A reasonable explanation for the magnetic properties of l-1 and d-1 was supplied by ab initio calculations. Remarkably, magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) investigation revealed that the chiral Dy2 enantiomers show a strong magneto-optical Faraday effect at room temperature, suggesting potential applications in magneto-optical devices.

Abstract
Six dimetallic lanthanide complexes, [Ln2(L')(acac)4] (1Dy-3Gd) (Ln = Dy (1Dy), Tb (2Tb) and Gd (3Gd)) and [Ln2(L')(tfac)4] (4Dy-6Gd) (Ln = Dy (4Dy), Tb (5Tb) and Gd (6Gd)) (H2L' = 1,9-dichloro-3,7,11,15-tetraaza-1,9(1,3)-dibenzenacyclohexadecaphane-2,10-diene-1,9-diol), have been synthesized by the reaction of lanthanide nitrates with the HL ligand in the presence of acetylacetonate (acac) (or trifluoroacetylacetonate (tfac) and triethylamine (HL = 4-chloro-2,6-bis(-((3-((3-(dimethylamino)propyl)amino)propyl)imino)methyl)phenol). Ln-Assisted modification of the Schiff base HL occurred and led to the formation of a new macrocyclic ligand (H2L'). X-ray crystallographic analysis revealed that the LnIII ions of complexes 1Dy-6Gd are all eight-coordinated in a square antiprismatic geometry with D4d local symmetry. Magnetic measurements of these complexes revealed that 1Dy and 4Dy show single-molecule magnet behaviour with energy barriers of 66.7 and 79.0 K, respectively, under a zero direct magnetic field. The orientations of the magnetic axes and crystal field parameters were obtained from theoretical calculations and an electrostatic model. The magneto-structural correlations of SMMs 1Dy and 4Dy are further discussed in detail.

Abstract
Six cobalt-organic frameworks (1-6) were solvothermally constructed with a tritopic pyridine-carboxylate linker (L-H) and its methyl- and methoxy-functionalized derivatives (L-OCH3 and L-CH3). Due to incorporated multiple substituents with various steric hindrances, the tritopic linkers adopt different molecular configurations, Y-shaped and T-shaped, which further combine octahedral or trigonal-prismatic inorganic nodes to afford diverse (3,6)-connected nets. Consequently, 1 and 2 are rtl nets and 3 and 4 are ant nets. Notably, 5 and 6 present rarely observed chiral anh (flu-3) networks with left-handed double helical chains. The structural investigation indicates that the steric tuning of linkers may essentially dictate the resulting diverse MOF structures. Furthermore, the MOFs presented here can be regarded as an ideal structural platform for a better understanding of the assembly of (3,6)-connected rtl, ant, and chiral anh nets, which are closely related to the shape and geometric configuration/conformation of tridentate organic nodes as well as inorganic building nodes.
