Abstract
This research report of the synthesis of composite polymers from liquid crystal mesogen reactive (RM82) monomers with Methyl methacrylate (MMA). The purpose of this research is analysis the effect concentration of MMA on the surface and thermal of the composite polymer PMMA-RM82. The result of the morphological analysis of composite surfaces performed by polarization optical microscopy (POM) technique showed liquid crystal textures affected composition from two monomers. SEM images show that the surface of the RM82 liquid crystal has a shape resembling fibrous and blade-like crystals with a length of up to 10 μm (micrometers). Analysis thermal showed the heat released by the PMMA-RM82 increased with the increase in MMA weight percent. This affects the rapid crystallization process of PMMA-RM82 which of concentration MMA 30%-RM82 the heat released is almost twice as much as the heat released by MMA 5%-RM82. The absence of PMMA and RM82 peaks both endothermic and exothermic in PMMA-RM82 samples indicates that polymerization has occurred and a new product has formed. Analysis structure molecule by FTIR found that the IR spectral form of each variation in the weight percent of MMA was almost the same, but there was a spectral shift that showed that polymerization had occurred in PMMA-RM82 which was characterized by a reaction to the free radical C=C bond released by the photoinitiator. XRD pattern of composite PMMA-RM82 showed the peaks formed are located at scattering angles similar to RM82 but there is a decrease in intensity as the percent weight of MMA increases.

Abstract
To reduce electromagnetic interference and noise pollution within communication base stations and servers, it is necessary for electromagnetic wave absorption (EWA) materials to transition from coating to multifunctional devices. Up to now, the stable and effective integration of multiple functions into one material by a simple method has remained a large challenge. Herein, a foam-type microwave absorption device assembled with multicomponent organic matter and graphite powder is synthesized by a universal combination process. Melamine and phenolic aldehyde amine work as the skeleton and cementing compound, respectively, in which graphite is embedded in the cementing compound interconnected into the mesoscopic 3D electric conductive and heat conductive network. Interestingly, the prepared flexible graphite/melamine foam (CMF) delivers a great EWA performance, with a great effective absorption bandwidth of 9.8 GHz, ultrathin thickness of 2.60 mm, and a strong absorption reflection loss of -41.7 dB. Moreover, the CMF possesses porosity and flexibility, endowing it with sound absorption ability. The CMF is unique in its integration of EWA, heat conduction, sound absorption, and mechanical robustness, as well as its cost-effective and scalable manufacturing. These attributes make CMF promising as a multifunctional device widely used in communication base stations, servers, and chips protection.

Abstract
We describe the design and manufacturing method of a lightweight C-doped MoS2 aerogel with a special regular banana leaflike microstructure used for high-performance microwave absorbers. The aerogel precursor was first fabricated by a self-assembly process between alginate (Alg) and ammonium thiomolybdate (ATM), where Alg as a template was assembled with ATM into regular banana leaflike architectures along the ice growth direction during oriented freezing. After pyrolysis at 900 °C, the C-doped MoS2 aerogels maintained low densities and porous hierarchal banana leaflike structures, where the banana leaves ranged in diameter from about 2 to 5 μm with the growth of small branches. Benefitting from these features, the C-doped MoS2 aerogel possessed excellent microwave absorption performance in the frequency range of 2-18 GHz. The minimum reflection loss (RL) reached -43 dB at 5.4 GHz with a matching thickness of 4 mm, and the effective microwave absorption band (RL < -10 dB) reached 4 GHz (14-18 GHz) at a thickness of 1.5 mm. Our findings also provide strategies for designing MoS2 aerogel nanostructures for electronic devices, catalysis, and other potential applications.

RSC Adv 2020; 10:41780-41790. Abstract
In this study, sunlight absorbing membranes consisting of ultra-black resorcinol–formaldehyde (RF)-based carbon aerogel (CA) and hydrophilic graphene oxide (GO) suspension were fabricated. To investigate the effect of substrate structure, CA/GO ink was cast onto two different layers including 3D modified copper foam (MCF) and 2D paper sheet. The copper foam (CF) was treated with a new and simple modification method to enhance the hydrophilicity. Finally, the solar steam generation performances of the prepared membranes were evaluated. The optical analyses indicated that 2D and 3D samples respectively reflected ∼4.5% and ∼10%, and transmitted ∼0% of the incident light. The water contact angle measurements revealed a significant change in the wettability of the CF layer representing a contact angle of 139.41° before the modification. Based on the water evaporation rates, the efficiencies of 81.1% and 91.4% (at 1 kW m−2) were achieved for 2D and 3D absorbents, respectively. In addition to eliminating the geometrical restrictions of the monolithic absorbents, the results verified that CA/GO ink-based absorbents were promising materials for solar steam generation systems (SSG) due to the high light absorption, superhydrophilicity and porous structure. The sunlight absorbing membrane consisting of ultra-black resorcinol-formaldehyde (RF)-based carbon aerogel (CA) and graphene oxide (GO) suspension was fabricated. The hydrophilic modified copper foam (MCF) was prepared and used as the substrate.![]()
