Abstract
Bacterial infection is one of the most threatening diseases in humans and can result in tissue necrosis, inflammation, and so on. Although a large number of antibacterial materials have been developed, there are still some disadvantages in this field, including decreasing antibacterial activity in the aqueous solution or a short duration of time. Herein, a metal-organic cage named Ag-TBI-TPE with excellent antibacterial activity was prepared and applied in wound healing. Owing to the photosensitive production of the toxic ROS species and the positive charge of the surface, the Ag-TBI-TPE cage exhibits high antibacterial activity, especially under UV irradiation. It could accelerate the healing process of the infected wounds in vivo with satisfactory biocompatibility and bio-safety. The results indicated that after treatment with the Ag-TBI-TPE cage, with and without UV irradiation, the healing rates of wounds infected by E. coli and S. aureus were 89.59% and 93.05%, and 83.48% and 90.84%, respectively, which were much higher than those shown by the positive control group at 51.38% and 67.74%, respectively. This study not only sheds light on a design idea for a new antibacterial material but also further expands the potential application field of metal-organic cages.

Abstract
A triangular metallosalen-based metallacycle was constructed in quantitative yield by the self-assembly of a 180° bis(pyridyl)salen-Al complex and a 60° diplatinum(II) acceptor in a 1 : 1 stoichiometric ratio. This metallacycle was then successfully used to cyanosilylate a wide range of benzaldehydes with trimethylsilyl cyanide.

Abstract
Mechanochromic luminescent materials displaying switchable luminescence properties in response to external mechanical force are currently attracting wide interest because of their multiple potential applications. In the growing number of mechanochromic luminescent compounds, mechanochromic complexes based on copper present appealing features with a large variety of mechanochromic properties and economical advantages over other metals. Among Cu-based compounds, molecular copper iodide clusters of cubane geometry with formula [Cu4I4L4] (L = organic ligand) stand out. Indeed, they can exhibit multiple luminescent stimuli-responsive properties, being particularly suitable for the development of multifunctional photoactive systems. This perspective describes the survey of these mechanochromic luminescent cubane copper iodide clusters. Based on our investigations, their mechanochromic luminescence properties are presented along with the study of the underlying mechanism. Establishment of structure-property relationships supported by various characterization techniques and associated with theoretical investigations permits gaining insights into the mechanism at play. Studies of other researcher groups are also described and illustrate the interest shown by these mechanochromic compounds. Mechanically responsive films are reported, demonstrating their potential use in a range of applications of such copper-based stimuli-responsive materials. Current challenges faced by the development of technological applications are finally outlined.

Abstract
Two Ag(I)-based metal-organic compounds have been synthesized exploiting 4,6-bis(diphenylphosphino)pyrimidine (L). The reaction of this ligand with AgNO3 and AgBF4 in acetonitrile produces dinuclear complex, [Ag2L2(MeCN)2(NO3)2] (1) and 1D coordination polymer, [Ag2L(MeCN)3]n(BF4)2n (2), respectively. In complex 1, µ2-P,P′-bridging coordination pattern of the ligand L is observed, whereas its µ4-P,N,N′,P′-coordination mode appears in 2. Both compounds exhibit pronounced thermochromic luminescence expressed by reversible changing of the emission chromaticity from a yellow at 300 K to an orange at 77 K. At room temperature, the emission lifetimes of 1 and 2 are 15.5 and 9.4 µs, the quantum efficiency being 18 and 56%, respectively. On account of temperature-dependent experimental data, the phenomenon was tentatively ascribed to alteration of the emission nature from thermally activated delayed fluorescence at 300 K to phosphoresce at 77 K.

Abstract
A series of silver coordination complexes (CCs) have been synthesized through self-assembly of five pyridine-substituted tetraphenylethylene stereoisomer ligands with silver ions (named Ag-TPE-2by-1-E, Ag-TPE-2by-2-E, Ag-TPE-2by-2-Z, Ag-TPE-2by-3-E, and Ag-TPE-2by-3-Z). These silver CCs show distinct topologies including beaded chain frameworks, linear structures, and discrete metallacycles. The single-crystal analysis results reveal the critical role of the space distribution of the coordination site and stereoisomer ligands in controlling the silver CCs' geometry configuration and modulating the optical properties. Luminescent investigations revealed that Ag-TPE-2by-2-E, Ag-TPE-2by-2-Z, Ag-TPE-2by-3-E, and Ag-TPE-2by-3-Z possess obvious mechanocharomic behaviors, which can be achieved several reversible cycles through repeated grinding and methanol soaking processes. However, the Ag-TPE-2by-1-E showed tenacious stability toward mechanical grinding and temperature. Thus, these silver CCs provide a good platform to investigate the influence of the space distribution of the coordination site of ligands on their geometry and mechanocharomic properties.
