Abstract
The excess anthropogenic CO2 depletion via the catalytic approach to produce valuable chemicals is an industrially challenging, demanding, and encouraging strategy for CO2 fixation. Herein, we demonstrate a selective one-pot strategy for CO2 fixation into "oxazolidinone" by employing stable porous trimetallic oxide foam (PTOF) as a new catalyst. The PTOF catalyst was synthesized by a solution combustion method using transition metals Cu, Co, and Ni and systematically characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), N2 sorption, temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis. Due to the distinctive synthesis method and unique combination of metal oxides and their percentage, the PTOF catalyst displayed highly interconnected porous channels along with uniformly distributed active sites on its surface. Well ahead, the PTOF catalyst was screened for the fixation of CO2 into oxazolidinone. The screened and optimized reaction parameters revealed that the PTOF catalyst showed highly efficient and selective activity with 100% conversion of aniline along with 96% selectivity and yield toward the oxazolidinone product at mild and solvent-free reaction conditions. The superiority of the catalytic performance could be due to the presence of surface active sites and acid-base cooperative synergistic properties of the mixed metal oxides. A doubly synergistic plausible reaction mechanism was proposed for the oxazolidinone synthesis experimentally with the support of DFT calculations along with bond lengths, bond angles, and binding energies. In addition, stepwise intermediate formations with the free energy profile were also proposed. Also, the PTOF catalyst displayed good tolerance toward substituted aromatic amines and terminal epoxides for the fixation of CO2 into oxazolidinones. Very interestingly, the PTOF catalyst could be significantly reused for up to 15 consecutive cycles with stable activity and retention in physicochemical properties.

Abstract
Sustainable chemistry research prioritizes reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide, and one logical solution is to develop adsorbents suitable for carbon capture and utilization. In this work, a new family of three-dimensional (3D) flower-like Mn-promoted MgO was synthesized by the coprecipitation method and used as an adsorbent for CO2 capture and a catalyst for CO2 utilization. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis of the samples shows a 3D architecture composed of thin nanosheets. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirms the presence of the MgO with a cubic structure, while X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) reveals the existence of Mn particles as a combination of Mn3+ and Mn4+ ions on MgO. N2 adsorption-desorption experiments highlight the beneficial contribution of Mn particles to surface area enhancement and reveal the existence of mesopores. Furthermore, the designed 3D Mn-doped MgO as an adsorbent demonstrates its capability to improve the ability of MgO to adsorb CO2 (from 0.28 mmol/g for pure MgO to 0.74 mmol/g) in ambient conditions and it is regenerable up to 9 cycles with a slight variation after the third cycle. Moreover, Mn-doped MgO shows good catalyst activity for the oxidation of ethylbenzene derivatives to carbonyl compounds in the presence of CO2 and O2. Mn-15/MgO shows excellent catalytic behavior with a conversion of 97.4 and 100% selectivity. Also, it is regenerable with an insignificant decrease in conversion (∼11.63%) after seven cycles, while the selectivity of acetophenone remains stable. The analyses of the recycled sample suggest that the chemical compositions of Mn and Mg influence the catalytic activity of those Mn-promoted MgO materials. The role of CO2 gas in the aerobic oxidation of ethylbenzene to acetophenone has also been proved. Finally, the control experiments and EPR studies reveal that the reaction takes place through the formation of radicals.

Abstract
Currently, it is essential to consider the rapidly increasing emission of CO2 into the atmosphere, causing major environmental issues such as climate change and global warming. In this work, we have developed the binary catalyst system (ZnCo2O4/inorganic salt) for chemical fixation of CO2 with epoxides into cyclic carbonates without solvent, and all reactions were performed on a large scale using a 100 ml batch reactor. Two mesoporous catalysts of ZnCo2O4 with different architecture, such as flakes (ZnCo-F) and spheres (ZnCo-S) were synthesized and utilized as a heterogeneous catalyst for cycloaddition reaction. The bifunctional property of catalysts is mainly attributed to strong acidic and basic properties confirmed by TPD (NH3 & CO2) analysis. The ZnCo-F catalyst exhibited excellent conversion of propylene oxide (99.9%) with good corresponding selectivity of propylene carbonate (≥99%) in the presence of inorganic salt (KI) at 120 °C, 2 MPa, 3 h. In addition, ZnCo-F catalyst demonstrated good catalytic applicability towards the various substrates scope of the epoxide. Furthermore, the catalytic properties were examined by evaluating the reaction parameter such as catalyst loading, pressure, temperature and time. The proposed catalyst exhibited good reusability for cycloaddition reaction without significant change in its catalytic activity and proposed a possible reaction mechanism for chemical fixation of CO2 with epoxide into cyclic carbonate over ZnCo-F/KI.

Abstract
Catalytic hydrolysis of sodium borohydride can potentially be considered as a convenient and safe method to generate hydrogen, an environmentally clean and sustainable fuel for the future. The present effort establishes the development of FeCuCo tri-metallic oxide catalyst by a simple, single-step solution combustion synthesis (SCS) method for hydrogen generation from NaBH4 hydrolysis. Amongst series of FeCuCo tri-metallic oxide catalyst synthesized, FeCuCo with 50:37.5:12.5 wt% respective precursor loading displayed remarkable activity by generating hydrogen at the rate of 1380 mL min-1 g-1 (1242 mL in 18 min) with turnover frequency (TOF) of 62.02 mol g-1 min-1. The catalyst was characterized by using various techniques to understand their physiochemical and morphological properties. The results revealed that the catalyst synthesized by combustion method led to the formation of FeCuCo with appreciable surface area, porous foam-like morphology and high surface acidity. Major factors affecting the hydrolysis of NaBH4 such as catalyst loading, NaOH concentration and temperature variation were studied in detail. Additionally, the FeCuCo catalyst also displayed substantial recyclability performance up to eight cycles without considerable loss in its catalytic activity. Therefore, FeCuCo oxide can be demonstrated as one of the most efficient, cost effective tri-metallic catalyst so far for application in the hydrogen generation.

Abstract
An interesting Cu-Co/GO composite with special high organic content was accidentally fabricated for the first time via a one-pot solvothermal method in the mixed solvent of isopropanol and glycerol. The Cu-Co/GO composite was calcined separately in three different atmospheres (air, nitrogen, and argon) and further investigated by a series of characterization techniques. The results indicate that the spinel phase nano-CuCo2O4 composite, nanometal oxides (CuO and CoO), and nanometal mixture of Cu and Co were unexpectedly formed after calcination in air, N2, and Ar atmospheres, respectively, and the possible reaction mechanism was discussed. The specific mass losses of the Cu-Co/GO composite calcined in air, N2, and Ar atmospheres were 28.14 %, 21.68 %, and 23.76 %, respectively. The catalytic decomposition performances of the as-prepared samples for cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine (RDX) and the mixture of nitrocellulose (NC) and RDX (NC + RDX) were investigated and compared via DSC method, and the results demonstrate that Cu-Co/GO composites obviously decrease the thermal decomposition temperature of RDX from 242.3 to 236.5 (before calcination), 238.6 (air), 235.8 (N2), and 228.6 °C (Ar), respectively. Cu-Co/GO(Ar) composite exhibits the best catalytic decomposition performance among all samples, which makes the decomposition temperature of RDX and NC + RDX decrease by 13.7 and 4.9 °C and the apparent activation energy of decomposition for RDX decrease by 110.1 kJ/mol. The enhanced catalytic performance of Cu-Co/GO(Ar) composite could be attributed to the smaller particle size, better crystallinity, and specific well-dispersed metal atoms, whereas the Cu-Co/GO(air) composite after air calcination presents a bad catalytic performance due to the removal of GO.
