Near sunlight continuous broadband white-light emission by single-phase Zn(ii)-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate MOFs

Single-Component White Light Emission from a Metal-Coordinated Cyclotriveratrylene-Based Coordination Polymer

A coordination polymer, namely, [Cd₃L(H₂O)₃]·DMA·4H₂O (1) (DMA = N,N-dimethylacetamide), was prepared by the solvothermal reaction of cyclotriveratrylene-based ligand 5,6,12,13,19,20-hexacarboxy-methoxy-cyclotriveratrylene (H₆L) and Cd(NO₃)₂·4H₂O. In 1, a two-dimensional structure was constructed by the connection of hexanuclear Cd-O clusters and L^6- anions. Photoluminescence measurements indicated that 1 displayed tunable photoluminescence through the variation of the excitation wavelength. Significantly, the white light emission of 1 can be observed with a broad excitation wavelength range from 320 to 385 nm. When 1 is excited by 385 nm light, its chromatic coordinate is (0.29, 0.34), which is located very close to the pure white light region (0.33, 0.33). Meanwhile, the color temperature (CCT) is 7994 K, which corresponds well to "cold" white light.

Blue- and white-light-emitting 2D-coordination polymers and their solid-state photodimerization reaction

Two Pb(ii) coordination polymers (CPs) isolated and show 2D-sheet-like structures. CPs with the formate, undergoes solid-state photodimerization and displays blue emission. While 2D sheet with acetate is photostable and show white-light emission.

Efficient white polymer light-emitting diodes (WPLEDs) based on covalent-grafting of into PVK

Thanks to the straightforward white light of single grafting-type polymers based on earth-abundant Zn(ii)-complexes, producing cost-effective flexible WOLEDs/WPLEDs with good device performance remains a formidable challenge. Herein, by using the polymer Poly(NVK-co-[Zn2(MP)3(OAc)]) with excellent physical properties for single-layer WPLEDs, record-high efficiencies (η Max c = 13.0 cd A-1, η Max p = 6.1 lm W-1 and η Max EQE = 9.2%) and low (ca. 25%) efficiency roll-off compared to previous organo-Zn2+-based WOLEDs/WPLEDs are realized. This finding renders single Zn(ii)-complex-grafted polymers a new route to low-cost and large-area flexible WPLEDs for potential full-colour flat displays.

Highly stable 3D porous HMOF with enhanced catalysis and fine color regulation by the combination of d- and p-ions when compared with those of its monometallic MOFs

Three comparable MOFs were yielded successfully. Among them, the highly stable HMOF is a porous 3D motif with lots of active sites, leading to the enhanced catalysis for CO₂ conversion and fine color regulations of MOFs by doping different ions.

A series of anionic MOFs with cluster-based, pillared-layer and rod-spacer motifs: near-sunlight white-light emission and selective dye capture
