Abstract
In this study, N-heterocyclic compounds were synthesized using nitrogen-containing nucleophilic substrates and electrophilic carbon sources derived from N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc). Depending on the nucleophilic groups, N-heterocyclic compounds such as 4-quinazolinones, pyrrole-quinoxalines, and dihydro-benzothiadiazine dioxides were produced. Carbon, adjacent to the nitrogen in DMAc, was activated in the presence of FeCl3·6H2O and di-t-butyl peroxide (DTBP). This procedure was considered an economical synthetic method because it utilized iron catalysts and DMAc as an electrophilic carbon source and a solvent.

Abstract
A novel biomass-derived glucose-mediated one-pot multicomponent nitro-reductive cyclization method is presented for the direct synthesis of diverse pyrrole-fused heterocycles. The process involves two-component reactions of alkyl (NH)-pyrrole-2-carboxylates and 2-fluoronitroarenes, yielding pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalin-4(5H)-ones, as well as three-component reactions utilizing (NH)-pyrroles, nitroarenes, and DMSO as carbon sources, resulting in various pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline derivatives. High yields were achieved with broad substrate scope and gram-scale synthesis capability, including pharmaceuticals featuring pyrroloquinoxaline scaffolds. The method's key innovation lies in enabling three or four reactions in a single-pot setup, previously unexplored in pyrrole chemistry. The simplicity of nitro group reduction by biomass-derived glucose ensures practical safety during scale-up, while mechanistic insights from control experiments reveal a new paradigm in pyrrole chemistry. The tandem process demonstrates low PMI values and high step and atom economies, aligning well with green chemistry principles.

Abstract
An array of pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline derivatives were achieved with moderate to good yields via the electrochemical redox reaction, which includes the functionalization of C(sp3)-H bonds and the construction of C-C and C-N bonds. In this atom economic reaction, THF was used as both a reactant and a solvent, and H2 was the sole by-product.

Abstract
The synthesis of N-heterocycles composes a significant part of synthetic chemistry. In this report, a Cu(II)-catalyzed green and efficient synthesis of pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline, quinazolin-4-one, and benzo[4,5]imidazoquinazoline derivatives was developed, employing N,N-dimethylethanolamine (DMEA) as a C1 synthon. Green oxidant O2 is critical in these transformations, facilitating the formation of a key intermediate─a reactive iminium ion. The method conducted under mild conditions is compatible with a diversity of functional groups, providing an appealing alternative to the previously developed protocols.

Abstract
The title compound 4-(5-nitro-thiophen-2-yl)-pyrrolo[1,2-a] quinoxaline (5NO2TAAPP) was obtained by a straightforward catalyst-free reaction of 5-nitro-2- thiophene carboxaldehyde and 1-(2-aminophenyl) pyrrole in methanol and was structurally characterized by FT IR, UV-Vis, NMR spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis. The structure of the compound has been confirmed by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction technique. The compound crystallizes in a monoclinic crystal system with space group P21/c. Unit cell dimensions: a = 12.2009(17) A0, b = 8.3544(9) A0, c = 13.9179(17) A0 and β = 104.980(5) A0. Hirshfeld surface analysis was carried out to understand the different intermolecular interactions. The two-dimensional fingerprint plot revealed the most prominent interactions in the compound. Theoretical calculations were executed using Density functional theory (DFT) by Gaussian09 software to develop optimized geometry and frontier molecular orbital analysis. Molecular docking studies revealed that the title compound is a potent inhibitor of Main protease 3CLpro with PDB ID: 6LU7, the viral protease which is responsible for the new Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19).

Abstract
N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as synthetic precursors contributing especially the methyl, acyl, and amino groups has played a significant role in heterocycle syntheses and functionalization. In this protocol, a wide range of pyrrolo/indolo[1,2-a]quinoxalines and quinazolin-4-ones were obtained in moderate to good yields by using elemental iodine without any metal or peroxides. We considered that N-methyl and N-acyl of DMF participate and complete the reaction separately through different mechanisms, which displayed potential still to be explored of DMF.

Abstract
Herein, we describe the direct synthesis of pyrrolo[1,2-α]quinoxaline via oxidative coupling between methyl arene and 1-(2-aminophenyl) pyrroles. Oxidation of the benzylic carbon of the methyl arene was achieved by di-t-butyl peroxide in the presence of an iron catalyst, followed by conversion to an activated aldehyde in situ. Oxygen played a crucial role in the oxidation process to accelerate benzaldehyde formation. Subsequent Pictet-Spengler-type annulation completed the quinoxaline structure. The protocol tolerated various kinds of functional groups and provided 22 4-aryl pyrrolo[1,2-α]quinoxalines when various methyl arene derivatives were used. The developed method proceeded in air, and all catalysts, reagents, and solvents were easily accessible.

Abstract
Herein, we describe the iron(III)-catalyzed oxidative coupling of alcohol/methyl arene with 2-amino phenyl ketone to synthesize 4-quinolone. Alcohols and methyl arenes are oxidized to the aldehyde in the presence of an iron catalyst and di-tert-butyl peroxide, followed by a tandem process, condensation with amine/Mannich-type cyclization/oxidation, to complete the 4-quinolone ring. This method tolerates various kinds of functional groups and provides a direct approach to the synthesis of 4-quinolones from less functionalized substrates.

Abstract
A metal-free and efficient procedure for the synthesis of pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalines, quinazolinones, and indolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline has been developed. The key features of our method include the in situ generation of aldehyde from α-hydroxy acid in the presence of TBHP (tert-butyl hydrogen peroxide), and further condensation with various amines, followed by intramolecular cyclization and subsequent oxidation to afford the corresponding quinoxalines, quinazolinones derivatives in moderate to high yields.
