Abstract
Supramolecular coordination complexes (SCCs) are predictable and size-tunable supramolecular self-assemblies constructed through directional coordination bonds between readily available organic ligands and metallic receptors. Based on planar and 3D structures, SCCs can be mainly divided into two categories: metallacycles (e.g., rhomboidal, triangular, rectangular, and hexagonal) and metallacages (e.g., tetrahedral, hexahedral, and dodecahedral). The directional coordination bonds enable the efficient formation of metallacycles and metallacages with well-defined architectures and geometries. SCCs exhibit several advantages, including good directionality, strong interaction force, tunable modularity, and good solution processability, making them highly attractive for biomedical applications, especially in cellular imaging and cancer therapy. Compared with their molecular precursors, SCCs demonstrate enhanced cellular uptake and a strengthened tumor accumulation effect, owing to their inherently charged structures. These properties and the chemotherapeutic potential inherent to organic platinum complexes have promoted their widespread application in antitumor therapy. Furthermore, the defined structures of SCCs, achieved via the design modification of assembly elements and introduction of different functional groups, enable them to combat malignant tumors through multipronged treatment modalities. Because the development of cancer-treatment methodologies integrated in clinics has evolved from single-modality chemotherapy to synergistic multimodal therapy, the development of functional SCCs for synergistic cancer therapy is crucial. While some pioneering reviews have explored the bioapplications of SCCs, often categorized by a specific function or focusing on the specific metal or ligand types, a comprehensive exploration of their synergistic multifunctionality is a critical gap in the current literature. In this Account, we focus on platinum-based SCCs and their applications in cancer therapy. While other metals, such as Pd-, Rh-, Ru-, and Ir-based SCCs, have been explored for cancer therapy by Therrien and Casini et al., platinum-based SCCs have garnered significant interest, owing to their unique advantages in antitumor therapy. These platinum-based SCCs, which enhance antitumor efficacy, are considered prominent candidates for cancer therapies owing to their desirable properties, such as potent antitumor activity, exceptionally low systemic toxicity, active tumor-targeting ability, and enhanced cellular uptake. Furthermore, diverse diagnostic and therapeutic modalities (e.g., chemotherapy, photothermal therapy, and photodynamic therapy) can be integrated into a single platform based on platinum-based SCCs for cancer therapy. Consequently, herein, we summarize our recent research on platinum-based SCCs for synergistic cancer therapy with particular emphasis on the cooperative interplay between different therapeutic methods. In the Conclusions section, we present the key advancements achieved on the basis of our research findings and propose future directions that may significantly impact the field.

Abstract
Abstract
Transition metal complexes (TMCs) with strong and long-lived excited state absorption (ESA) usually exhibit high-performance optical power limiting (OPL) response. Several techniques, such as transmission vs. incident fluence curves and Z-scan have been widely used to assess the OPL performance of typical TMCs. The OPL performance of TMCs is highly molecular structure-dependent. Special emphasis is placed on the structure-OPL response relationships of Pt(II), Ir(III), Ru(II), and other metal complexes. This review concludes with perspectives on the current status of OPL field, as well as opportunities that lie just beyond its frontier.

Abstract
Two sets of cis-trans isostructural metallaprisms were constructed from the controlling linkage of a Pt-corner, and a linear and quadrilateral AIE ligand. The combination of two AIEgens of TPE and the Pt-corner into one system endows these isomers with interesting AIE functions.

Abstract
Polymers have greatly changed and are still changing the way we live ever since, and the construction of novel polymers as functional materials remains an attractive topic in polymer science and related areas. During the past few years, the marriage of discrete supramolecular coordination complexes (SCCs), including two-dimensional (2D) metallacycles and three-dimensional (3D) metallacages, and polymers gave rise to two novel types of metallo-supramolecular polymers, i.e., metallacycle/metallacage-cored star polymers (MSPs) and metallacycle/metallacage-crosslinked polymer networks (MPNs), which has attracted increasing attention and emerged as an exciting new research direction in polymer chemistry. Attributed to their well-defined and diverse topological architectures as well as the unique dynamic features of metallacycles/metallacages as cores or crosslinks, these novel polymers have shown extensive applications. In this review, aiming at providing a practical guide to this emerging area, the introduction of synthetic strategies towards MSPs and MPNs will be presented. In addition, their wide applications in areas such as functional materials, molecular sieving, drug delivery, bacterial killing and bioimaging are also discussed.

Abstract
Dynamic covalent polymers-dynamers-are adaptive materials that offer timely variant adaptive macroscopic organization across extended scales. In the current study, imine exchange reactions and fluorescence transfer can occur at the interfaces between various solutions and solid state dynameric films. The fluorescence quenching upon imine formations for designed fluorogen was successfully demonstrated, and this tunable fluorescence was further used to study the re-composition of a solid film. Moreover, the dynamic covalent films also exhibited responsiveness to competing amines and acid/base conditions, both in solutions and solid film-solution interface. This work can provide more insights into interface dynamic chemistry and holds great potential for further applications in optical and biomedical materials.

Abstract
The chemical structures and topologies of the crosslinks in supramolecular networks play a crucial role in their properties and functions. Herein, the preparation of a type of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAM)-based supramolecular networks crosslinked by emissive hexagonal metallacycles is presented. The topological connections in these networks greatly affect their properties, as evidenced by their differences in absorption, emission, lower critical solution temperature, and modulus along with the variation of crosslinking densities. The integration of PNIPAAM and metallacycles in the networks benefits them improved bioavailability, making them serve as reagents for bacterial imaging and killing. This study provides a strategy to prepare cavity-crosslinked polymer networks for antibacterial applications.
