Abstract
Iron nanoparticles, with low toxicity and many active sites, are among the materials that not only reduce waste along with green chemistry but also increase the separation power and recover the catalyst from the reaction environment. In this study, first, the surface of iron nanoparticles was silanized, and in the next step, the complex of chitosan HCl.VO3 was placed on the surface of Fe3O4 (Fe3O4@SiO2@CSH+VO3-). This nanocatalyst is a novel, recoverable, and potent nanocatalyst with high selectivity for the oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides. Various physicochemical techniques such as IR, XRD, TGA, SEM, EDX, mapping, TEM, and VSM were used to affirm the well synthesis of the catalyst. Oxidation of sulfides in the presence of hydrogen peroxide as a green oxidant and in ethanol was catalyzed by the Fe3O4@SiO2@CSH+VO3-. All sulfoxides were achieved with high efficiency and in a short time. The notable privileges of this method include facile and economic catalyst synthesis, proper catalyst durability, great performance, simple catalyst isolation, good recovery capability, at least up to 5 times without an index drop in catalytic power.

Abstract
Sulfones are widely found in natural products and drug molecules. Here, we disclose a strategy for direct synthesis of sulfone compounds with diverse structures by visible-light-catalyzed radical-radical cross-coupling of sulfonyl chlorides and trifluoroborate salts. Allyl, benzyl, vinyl, and aryl trifluoroborates can be successfully cross-coupled with (hetero)aryl and alkyl sulfonyl chlorides, respectively. This strategy features redox neutrality, good substrate generality, simple operation, and benign reaction conditions.

Abstract
A facile and efficient catalyst-/metal-/oxidant-free DBU-promoted deaminative thiolation reaction of 1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-amines and benzo[d]oxazol-2-amines has been developed at room temperature conditions in a one-pot protocol. This practical three-component strategy represents a novel and environmentally friendly reaction pathway toward the straightforward synthesis of various 2-thio-1H-benzo[d]imidazoles and 2-thiobenzo[d]oxazoles using carbon disulfide as a sulfur source through C-N bond cleavage and C-S bond formation process. Different types of 1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-amines, benzo[d]oxazol-2-amines, and organic bromides are suitable substrates. The gram-scale and late-stage modification experiments provide the potential applications based on this methodology in the field of organic and medicinal chemistry.

Abstract
A chemoselective photocatalytic system to perform thioether oxidation to sulfoxide is presented. The light-induced oxidation process is here promoted by a metal-free quinoid catalyst, namely 1-hexylKuQuinone (KuQ). Reactions performed in a fluorinated solvent (i.e., HFIP), using O2 as the oxidant, at room temperature, lead to complete thioanisole conversion to methyl phenyl sulfoxide in 60 min. Remarkably, the system can be recharged and recycled without a loss of activity and selectivity, reaching turnover numbers (TONs) higher than 4000. Excellent catalytic performances and full selectivity have also been obtained for the photocatalytic oxidation of substituted thioanisole derivatives, aliphatic, cyclic, and diaryl thioethers. Likewise, the oxidation of heteroaromatic organosulfur compounds can be accomplished, with longer reaction times.

Abstract
We report the rapid oxidation of organic sulfides to sulfoxides by means of microdroplet chemistry at room temperature using a spray solution containing an organic sulfide dissolved in water/methanol, dilute (11%-14%) sodium hypochlorite (NaClO), and 5% chloroauric acid (HAuCl4). Ultrasonic nebulization, easy ambient sonic-spray ionization, or electrosonic spray ionization serves as the microdroplet source. High-resolution mass spectrometry was used as an online detector, and nuclear magnetic resonance was used as an offline detector. We found that the sulfoxide yields vary between 66 and 95%, the highest rate of product formation is 195 mg/min for benzyl phenyl sulfoxide, and the time required is a few minutes, which is much less than that required for the conventional means of achieving this chemical transformation. We also applied this microdroplet method to protein fingerprinting. We found that protein sequences containing methionine can be quickly oxidized, providing useful information for protein structure determinations.

Abstract
In this work, the immobilization of copper(ii) on the surface of 1,8-diaminonaphthalene (DAN)-coated magnetic nanoparticles provides a highly active catalyst for the oxidation reaction of sulfides to sulfoxides and the oxidative coupling of thiols to disulfides using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). This catalyst was also applied for the one-pot synthesis of symmetrical sulfides via the reaction of aryl halides with thiourea as the sulfur source in the presence of NaOH instead of former strongly basic and harsh reaction conditions. Under optimum conditions, the synthesis yields of sulfoxides, symmetrical sulfides, and disulfides were about 99%, 95%, and 96% respectively with highest selectivity. The heterogeneous copper-based catalyst has advantages such as the easy recyclability of the catalyst, the easy separation of the product and the less wastage of products during the separation of the catalyst. This heterogeneous nanocatalyst was characterized by FESEM, FT-IR, VSM, XRD, EDX, ICP and TGA. Furthermore, the recycled catalyst can be reused for several runs and is economically effective.
