Abstract
Tri-(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)methyl (TTM) based radicals can be promising in providing relatively high fluorescence quantum efficiency. In this study, we have evaluated the photoluminescence properties of a series of TTM-based radicals by means of DFT and TD-DFT methods. The optimized structures of the ground states (D0) and the first excited states (D1) of all the radicals are calculated and the computed emission bands are comparable with previous experimental results. knr is determined from transition dipole moments (μ12) and the energy gaps between D0 and D1 (ΔE), both of which can be regulated by the conjugated structures from the substituent groups. knr was derived from the mode-averaging method and is consistent with the experimental results. Factors influencing kr and knr, including the potential energy differences (ΔG0), the vibrational reorganization energies (λ) and the electron coupling term (Hab), are discussed. By comparing kr and knr in solvents with different polarities (cyclohexane, toluene, and chloroform), TTM based radicals in cyclohexane exhibit the most promising fluorescence efficiencies. Besides, two substituted radicals, namely 2Br-TTM-3PCz and 2F-TTM-3PCz, have been fabricated. The results show that fluorine atoms are able to increase ΔG0 and a considerably small knr has been predicted. We expect that our calculation can benefit the design of light-emitting molecules in further experiments.

Abstract
Two new heteroleptic cationic Ir(III) complexes bearing benzothiazole and pyridine motifs on fluorene groups were synthesized and characterized. Complexes Ir1 and Ir2 exhibit 1π,π* transitions below 430 nm, with broad but weak metal-to-ligand and ligand-to-ligand charge transfer absorption bands above 430 nm. Both complexes possess long-lived emissions (τem = 0.37 μs for Ir1, τem = 5.41 μs for Ir2) and triplet excited states (τTA = 0.14 μs for Ir1, τTA = 6.06 μs for Ir2). Their optical properties in solution and aggregated states were also investigated. Both Ir(III) complexes exhibit aggregation-induced phosphorescence emission behavior in an acetonitrile-water mixture. As the water content increased to 90%, the emission intensities of complexes Ir1 and Ir2 increased nearly 3 times and 2.8 times, respectively. Moreover, nonlinear transmittance experiments were performed in CH3CN and a CH3CN-H2O mixture (fw = 90%), and the strength of the reverse saturable absorption (RSA) at 532 nm followed the trend: Ir2 (CH3CN) ≥ Ir1 (CH3CN) > Ir2 (CH3CN-H2O) > Ir1 (CH3CN-H2O). Abundant triplet state excitons participated in the radiative transition progress, which inhibited the RSA process. These results indicate that the fluorene-decorated Ir(III) complexes are suitable for aggregation emission and optical power limiting applications.

Abstract
Acetylene surrogates are efficient tools in modern organic chemistry with largely unexplored potential in the construction of heterocyclic cores. Two novel synthetic paths to 3,6-disubstituted pyridazines were proposed using readily available acetylene surrogates through flexible C2 unit installation procedures in a common reaction space mode (one-pot) and distributed reaction space mode (two-chamber): (1) an interaction of 1,2,4,5-tetrazine and its acceptor-functionalized derivatives with a CaC2 -H2 O mixture performed in a two-chamber reactor led to the corresponding pyridazines in quantitative yields; (2) [4+2] cycloaddition of 1,2,4,5-tetrazines to benzyl vinyl ether can be considered a universal synthetic path to a wide range of pyridazines. Replacing water with D2 O and vinyl ether with its trideuterated analog in the developed procedures, a range of 4,5-dideuteropyridazines of 95-99% deuteration degree was synthesized for the first time. Quantum chemical modeling allowed to quantify the substituent effect in both synthetic pathways.
