Abstract
The present research studied the cytotoxicity, antioxidant, and antidiabetic activities of biogenically synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using Ziziphora clinopodioides (Z. clinopodioides) as a green mediator. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) were employed to determine AgNPs. In the in vivo experiment, the model rats were categorized into different groups receiving 50, 100, 200, and 400 μg/kg of AgNPs and diabetic, positive, and normal groups (n = 10) using a random division. A single dose of streptozotocin (STZ) at 60 mg/kg was administered to induce diabetes and hepatotoxicity in rats. The administration of AgNPs was performed via intragastric administration for 25 days. On the final day, the levels of glucose and biochemical enzymes, namely aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine transaminase (ALT), and gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT), were assessed in the serum. Following tissue processing, liver sections with a thickness of 5 μm were prepared. Later, the total volume of different liver components, such as hepatocytes, sinusoids, portal vein, central vein, hepatic arteries, and bile ducts, was measured. The portal vein and bile duct volumes did not vary significantly in groups treated by AgNPs. However, the volume of the central vein and hepatic arteries exhibited noticeable variations in groups treated by AgNPs. After administration of streptozotocin, the volume of hepatocytes and sinusoids increased significantly. However, treatment with a high dose of AgNPs significantly decreased the volume of hepatocytes and sinusoids. In diabetic rats, administering AgNPs reduced the fasting blood glucose levels compared to the model group. In addition, AgNPs decreased the elevated levels of AST and ALP enzymes in a manner that depended on the dosage of AgNPs used. This research demonstrates the hepatoprotective and antidiabetic properties of AgNPs, suggesting their potential implications as hepatoprotective and antidiabetic supplements to prevent diabetes.

Abstract
The synthesis of six-membered oxygen- and nitrogen-containing heterocycles has been regarded as the most fundamental issue in organic chemistry and the chemical industry because these heterocycles are used in producing high-value products. In this study, an efficient, economic, sustainable, and green protocol for their multicomponent synthesis has been developed. The one-pot direct Knoevenagel condensation–Michael addition–cyclization sequences for the transformation of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile, and 2-aminopyridine generate the corresponding 1,8-naphthyridines over a novel mesoporous bifunctional organocatalyst supported cholorosulfonic acid [poly(triazine-benzene sulfonamide)-SO3H (PTBSA-SO3H)] under ambient conditions. The catalyst was used for the formation of 1,8-naphthyridine derivatives for six runs. The current strategy provided a wider substrate range, and short reaction times. Abstract
In this study, Pd(II)/TCH@SBA-15 nanocomposites were synthesized by the grafting of 3-chloropropyltriethoxysilane and thiocarbohydrazide on SBA-15 and subsequent deposition of palladium acetates through the ligand-metal coordination method. The structure and morphology of this nanoporous nanocomposite was thoroughly identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, atomic absorption spectroscopy, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller instrumental analyses. Furthermore, the catalytic activity of this nanocomposite was investigated in the three-component synthesis of 3-benzimidazolyl or benzothiazoleyl-1,3-thiazolidin-4-ones via a reaction of 2-aminobenzimidazole or 2-aminobenzothiazole, aromatic aldehydes, and thioglycolic acid in an acetone-H2O mixture under green conditions. The Pd/TCH@SBA-15 nanocatalyst is demonstrated to exhibit a high catalyzing activity in the three-component reaction of the synthesis of N-heterocyclic thiazolidinones with good to excellent yields. One of the advantages of the suggested method is the direct application of the thiocarbohydrazide ligand to stabilize Pd nanoparticles through formation of a stable ring complex without creating an additional Schiff base step. Moreover, this organometallic nanocatalyst can be recycled several times with no notable leaching or loss of performance.

Abstract
We have designed a functionalized metal-organic framework (MOF) of UiO topology as a support, with an extremely high surface area, adjustable pore sizes and stable crystalline coordination polymeric structure and implanted copper (Cu) nanoparticles thereon. The core three dimensional Zr-derived MOF (UiO-66-NH2) was modified with a biguanidine moiety following a covalent post-functionalization approach. The morphological and physicochemical features of the material were determined using analytical methods such as FT-IR, SEM, TEM, EDX, atomic mapping, XRD and ICP-OES. The SEM and XRD results justified the unaffected morphology of Zr-MOF after structural modifications. The as-synthesized UiO-66-biguanidine/Cu nanocomposite was catalytically explored in the aryl and heteroaryl Buchwald-Hartwig C-N and Ullmann type C-O cross coupling reactions with excellent yields. A library of biaryl amine and biaryl ethers was synthesized over the catalyst under mild and green conditions. Furthermore, the catalyst was isolated by centrifugation and recycled 11 times with no significant copper leaching or change in its activity.
