Abstract
The detection of 2,6-pyridinecarboxylic acid (DPA), as a biomarker of Bacillus anthracis, has attracted wide attention. In previous reports of DPA detection, fluorescent probes may not have high specificity. Therefore, the rational design and development of fluorescent sensors with excellent performance is of great significance for the detection of DPA. In this study, two novel lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs) were synthesized by hydrothermal method using 3-polyfluorobiphenyl-3 ', 4,5 ' -tricarboxylic acid (H2FPTA) as ligand. Studies have shown that Ln-MOFs can detect DPA in real time, with detection limits of 0.54 μM and 0.67 μM, respectively, and have a high recovery rate (95 % -108 %) in fetal bovine serum. As a self-calibration sensor, other substances in the blood can be clearly distinguished by a two-dimensional fluorescence code diagram. After the Ln-MOFs were spun into nanofiber membranes, they responded quickly to DPA. This increases practicability and provides a promising idea for the development of simple and efficient ratio sensors.

Abstract
Nitrobenzene (NB) is a highly toxic chemical and a cause for concern to human health and the environment. Hence, it is worth designing new efficient and robust sensing platforms for NB. In this study, we present three newly synthesized luminescent silver cluster-based coordination polymers, {[Ag10 (StBu)6 (CF3 COO)4 (hpbt)] (DMAc)2 (CH3 CN)2 }n (hpbt=N,N,N',N'N",N"-hexa(pyridine-4-yl)benzene-1,3,5-triamine), [Ag12 (StBu)6 (CF3 COO)6 (bpva)3 ]n (bpva=9,10-Bis(2-(pyridin-4-yl)vinyl)anthracene), and {[Ag12 (StBu)6 (CF3 COO)6 (bpb)(DMAc)2 (H2 O)2 ] (DMAc)2 }n (bpb=1,4-Bis(4-pyridyl)benzene) composed of Ag10 , Ag12 and Ag12 cluster cores, respectively, connected by multidentate pyridine linkers. In addition, two new luminescent polymorphic silver(I)-based coordination polymers, [Ag(CF3 COO)(dpa)]n (dpa=9,10-di(4-pyridyl)anthracene) referred to as Agdpa (H) and Agdpa (R), where H and R denote hexagon- and rod-like crystal shapes, respectively, have been prepared. The coordination polymers exhibit highly sensitive luminescence quenching effects to NB, attributed to the π-π stacking interactions between the polymers and NB as well as the electron-withdrawing character of NB.

Abstract
Detection of hazardous compounds can alleviate risk to human health. However, it remains a challenge to develop easy-to-use testing tools for carcinogenic aromatic amines. Herein, we presented a conjugated molecule-based aniline detector, mixed matrix membranes (MMMs), through the solution-processable strategy. The pentacene-based dispersed phase is achieved using the state-of-the-art ionic liquids (ILs) as the continuous phase, based on which MMMs are easily manufactured by a solution process. Moreover, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and quantum mechanical calculations suggested that hydrogen bonding and π-π interaction between ILs cations and pentacene could promote the dissolution. These prepared MMMs can offer easy-operation and on-site detection of carcinogenic primary aromatic amines with eye-readable fluorescence signal. This work provides a paradigm for the design of a portable testing device for various hazardous compounds.

Abstract
Considering that metal–organic framework (MOF)-polymer mixed-matrix membranes (MMMs) can overcome the drawbacks of intrinsic fragility and poor processability of pure-MOF membranes, we designed MOF-based MMMs for efficient removal and fast fluorescence sensing of heavily toxic ions within water systems simultaneously. In this work, a series of MOF-based MMMs are prepared by mixing a hydrolytically stable cationic [Eu7 (mtb)5(H2O)16]·NO3 8DMA·18H2O (denoted as Eu-mtb) MOF material into poly (vinylidene fluoride) with high loadings up to 70%. The free volume at the interface between the polymer and Eu-mtb particles, combined with the permanent porosity and uniform distribution of Eu-mtb particles, enables these MMMs to show fast enrichment of Cr2O72- from solutions and consequently have a full contact between the analyte and MOFs. The developed Eu-mtb MMM (70wt% loading) thus shows both efficient removal and exceptional fluorescence sensing of Cr2O72- in aqueous media. The overall adsorption capacity of the Eu-mtb MMM (70 wt% loading) for Cr2O72- reaches up to 33.34 mg/g, which is 3.4 times that of powder-form Eu-mtb. The detection limit of the Eu-mtb MMM (70 wt% loading) for Cr2O72- is around 5.73 nM, which is lower than that of the reported powder-form Eu-mtb. This work demonstrates that it is feasible to develop flexible luminescent MOF-based MMMs as a significant platform for efficient removal and sensitive sensing of pollutants from water systems simultaneously.

Abstract
Facile fabrication of the ultra-high-performance adsorbent can effectively ameliorate the Cr(VI)-pollution elimination in sewage control. Herein, a simple synthesis strategy is proposed to tap a versatile chelating resin poly(pyrogallol-tetraethylene pentamine) (PPTA) with respect to Cr(VI) removal from solution. Multiple changing factors which affect the adsorption behavior of PPTA are explored sequentially, such as initial pH, adsorbate concentration, adsorbent dosage, temperature, foreign ions, etc. The microstructure and functional mechanism of synthetic adsorbent are investigated systematically by means of various characterizations including TEM, EDS, FT-IR, XPS, etc. Consequently, the as-prepared PPTA-3 microsphere by reactant ratio of 1: 1 represents a brilliant synergistic adsorption and reduction result for Cr(VI) by the drastic electrostatic interaction of -NH3+ and -OH2+ groups, including satisfactory removal efficiency which closes to 100 % in low concentration, favorable specificity for the influence from coexistent ions (Mo(VI), Mn(VII), Cl-, Cr(III), etc), and passable recyclability. Following the surpassingly fitting with Langmuir isotherm model, its maximum capacity reaches 714.29 mg g-1 at 30 °C. The removal performance is essentially in agreement with the pseudo-second-order kinetics, simultaneously, suffers the rate-limiting impact depending on intra-particle diffusion process. In brief, this newly developed chelating resin presents an effective means with regard to the Cr(VI)-wastewater treatment or other uses in the future.
