Abstract
An efficient methodology for the synthesis of N-(pyrrolidine-3-ylidenemethyl)acetamides mediated by triflic acid in good yields with separable Z/E isomers within a short reaction time has been demonstrated. The reaction involves the initial formation of the pyrrolidin-3-ylidenemethylium carbocation via the Prins cyclization reaction followed by the Ritter reaction to produce N-(pyrrolidine-3-ylidenemethyl)acetamides. This methodology is also used for the synthesis of their piperidine derivatives.

Abstract
We report the stereocontrolled synthesis of 1,6-diazecanes via a tandem aza-Prins type reaction of N-acyliminium ions with allylsilanes. It involves an aza-Prins type dimerization and cyclization in a single-step operation. This reaction represents the first example of 10-membered N-heterocycle synthesis using an aza-Prins reaction. Also, the interesting formation of an unusual tetracyclic compound through further cyclization of 1,6-diazecane and bicyclic compounds by the intramolecular cyclization of linear allylsilane are described. This tandem aza-Prins protocol provides a new synthetic strategy for the direct synthesis of medium-sized nitrogen heterocycles.

Abstract
TMSOTf-mediated reaction of alkynyl vinylogous carbonates serendipitously gave 1,4-oxazepine and dihydropyran dienes via transposition of an ethyl acrylate moiety involving intramolecular cascade Prins-type cyclization/retro-oxa-Michael reaction/cycloisomerisation. The developed atom-economical protocol selectively provides an E double bond geometry. Dihydropyran dienes could be reduced diastereoselectively using Et3SiH/TMSOTf or could be transformed into polycyclic heterocycles by Heck reaction.

Abstract
The aza-Prins reaction of 6,7-dimethoxy-3-vinyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline (1) with 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds proceeded smoothly in the presence of HCl, and the corresponding tricyclic benzazocines were isolated in yields of 20-86%. The reaction proceeded in a stereoselective manner, and the formation of the 2,4-trans isomer was observed. The reaction of 1 with an enantiopure ketoester gave the corresponding tricyclic benzazocine as a mixture of diastereomers. The diastereomers were easily separated and converted to enantiopure tricyclic benzazocines. The synthesis of spirooxindole derivatives was achieved by the reaction of 1 with isatin derivatives.

Abstract
A novel aza-Prins type cyclization reaction involving N-acyliminium ions and amides is reported for the synthesis of tetrahydropyrimido[2,1-a]isoindole-2,6-dione and 6,6a-dihydroisoindolo[2,1-a]quinazoline-5,11-dione derivatives in excellent yields. The strategy features inexpensive reagents, mild reaction conditions, and metal-free synthesis of N-heterocyclic frameworks. Further, post-synthetic modification results in the unprecedented formation of its triazole, tetracyclic diazacyclopenta[def]phenanthrene-1,4(9a1H)-dione and carbonyl derivatives.
