Abstract
Electron injection effectively induces the formation of a 1T-rich phase to address the low conductivity of MoSe2. Nevertheless, overcoming the inherent metastability of the 1T phase (particularly during the conversion reactions that entail the decomposition-reconstruction of MoSe2 and volume expansion) remains a challenge. Guided by DFT results, we designed a composite with bimetal selenides-based heterostructures anchored on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanosheets (G-Cu2Se@MoSe2) to obtain stabilized 1T-rich MoSe2 and enhanced ion transfer. The construction of 1T-rich MoSe2 and built-in electric fields (BiEF) through electron transfer at the heterointerfaces were realized. Moreover, the rGO-metal selenides heterostructures with in situ-formed interfacial bonds could facilitate the reconstruction of the 1T-rich MoSe2-involved heterostructure and interfacial BiEF. Such a dual heterostructure endowed G-Cu2Se@MoSe2 with an excellent rate capability with a capacity of 288 mA h g-1 at 50 A g-1 and superior cycling stability with a capacity retention ratio of 89.6% (291 mA h g-1) after 15 000 cycles at 10 A g-1. Insights into the functional mechanism and structural evolution of the 1T MoSe2-involved dual heterostructure from this work may provide guidelines for the development of MoSe2 and phase-engineering strategies for other polymorphistic materials.

Abstract
The realization of sodium-ion devices with high-power density and long-cycle capability is challenging due to the difficulties of carrier diffusion and electrode fragmentation in transition metal selenide anodes. Herein, a Mo/W-based metal-organic framework is constructed by a one-step method through rational selection, after which MoWSe/C heterostructures with large angles are synthesized by a facile selenization/carbonization strategy. Through physical characterization and theoretical calculations, the synthesized MoWSe/C electrode delivers obvious structural advantages and excellent electrochemical performance in an ethylene glycol dimethyl ether electrolyte. Furthermore, the electrochemical vehicle mechanism of ions in the electrolyte is systematically revealed through comparative analyses. Resultantly, ether-based electrolytes advantageously construct stable solid electrolyte interfaces and avoid electrolyte decomposition. Based on the above benefits, the Na half-cell assembled with MoWSe/C electrodes demonstrated excellent rate capability and a high specific capacity of 347.3 mA h g-1 even after cycling 2000 cycles at 10 A g-1. Meanwhile, the constructed sodium-ion capacitor maintains ∼80% capacity retention after 11,000 ultralong cycles at a high-power density of 3800 W kg-1. The findings can broaden the mechanistic understanding of conversion anodes in different electrolytes and provide a reference for the structural design of anodes with high capacity, fast kinetics, and long-cycle stability.

Abstract
Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has been demonstrated to effectively enhance the potassium storage performance of transition metal selenides due to its robust mechanical properties and high conductivity. However, the impact of rGO on the electrode-electrolyte interface, a crucial factor in the electrochemical performance of potassium-ion batteries (PIBs), requires further exploration. In this study, we synthesized a seamless architecture of rGO on FeSe/C nanocrystals (FeSe/C@rGO). Comparative analysis between FeSe/C and FeSe/C@rGO reveals that the rGO layer exhibits robust adsorption energies towards EC and DEC, inducing the formation of organic-rich solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) without damage to the structural integrity. Furthermore, incorporating rGO triggers K+ -ions into the double electrode layer (EDL), markedly improving the transport of K+ -ions. As a PIB anode, FeSe/C@rGO exhibits a reversible capacity of 332 mAh g-1 at 200 mA g-1 after 300 cycles, along with excellent long-term cycling stability, showcasing an ultralow decay rate of only 0.086 % per cycle after 1900 cycles at 1000 mA g-1 .

Abstract
Due to their low cost and high stability, sodium-ion batteries have been increasingly studied. However, their further development is limited by the relative energy density, resulting in the search for high-capacity anodes. FeSe2 displays high conductivity and capacity but still suffers from sluggish kinetics and serious volume expansion. Herein, through sacrificial template methods, a series of sphere-like FeSe2-carbon composites are successfully prepared, displaying uniform carbon coatings and interfacial chemical FeOC bonds. Moreover, benefiting from the unique traits of precursor and acid treatment, rich structural voids are prepared, effectively alleviating volume expansion. Utilized as anodes of sodium-ion batteries, the optimized sample displays considerable capacity, achieving 462.9 mAh g-1, with 88.75% coulombic efficiency at 1.0 A g-1. Even at 5.0 A g-1, their capacity can be kept at approximately 318.8 mAh g-1, while the stable cycling can be prolonged to 200 cycles above. Supported by the detailed kinetic analysis, it can be noted that the existing chemical bonds facilitate the fast shuttling of ions at the interface, and the enhanced surface/near-surface properties are further vitrified. Given this, the work is expected to offer valuable insights for the rational design of metal-based samples toward advanced sodium-storage materials.
