Abstract
The widespread use of catalysts in chemistry in the current century, especially in multicomponent reactions, has led researchers to design catalysts with high catalytic power and which can be recycled. In recent years, most scientists and researchers of chemical science have become interested in magnetic nanocatalysts and used them to perform chemical reactions. Due to the magnetic property of this nanocatalyst, it can be separated and collected from the reaction mixture by a magnet after the reaction is complete and reused. Pyrano-pyrimidines are a group of heterocyclic compounds and important pharmaceutical compounds. Pyrano-pyrimidine derivatives are of great interest due to the wide role they play in biological activities. During the past years, various methods for the synthesis of pyrano-pyrimidines based on the use of magnetic nanocatalysts have been reported. In this review article, for the first time, we would like to focus on the reported non-magnetic materials as magnetically recoverable nanocatalysts for the synthesis of pyrano-pyrimidine derivatives. Considering the wonderful features of magnetic nanocatalysts such as simple separation and preparation, high catalytic activity and stability, we expect more articles on the synthesis of heterocycles using this type of catalyst to be published in the near future.

Abstract
An environmentally benign and metal-free synthesis of 4-aryl quinolines is reported by employing readily available arylamine, arylacetylene, and DMSO in the presence of 20 mol% p-TSA·H2O. In the present protocol, the solvent DMSO serves as a reactant cum solvent for providing the C2 carbon atom of the quinoline skeleton. Notably, the reaction proceeds effectively and efficiently without the involvement of any metal catalyst, ligand, and co-catalyst as additives and inert atmospheric reaction conditions. This method provides high atom economy and good yields, and two C-C and one C-N bonds are formed in a single step through a three-component reaction.

Abstract
Nano-catalysts are of special character for the synthesis of organic molecules with high efficiency, and exceptional physicochemical properties. The objective of this study was to present an overview of the literature reports concerning the synthetic strategies supported by nano-catalysts and the biological features of heterocycle-integrated pyridopyrimidine scaffolds. The basic topics include the strategies that were adopted to prepare pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines and pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidines. The synthesis of pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines was attained through two-, three-, or four-component reactions. The synthesis of spirocyclic systems, including spiro[indoline-pyridopyrimidine] derivatives and arylation reactions, was investigated. The anticipated mechanisms of the diverse target products, in addition to the preparation of the nanocatalysts, were scrutinized. The privileged antimicrobial characteristics, challenges, literature overview, and future prospectives were consistently investigated.

Abstract
The pyranopyrimidine core is a key precursor for medicinal and pharmaceutical industries due to its broader synthetic applications as well as its bioavailability. Among its four possible isomers, we found that 5H-pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine scaffolds have a wide range of applicability, and in recent years, they have been intensively investigated, but the development of the main core is found to be more challenging due to its structural existence. In this review article, we cover all of the synthetic pathways that are employed for the development of substituted 4-aryl-octahydropyrano/hexahydrofuro[2,3-d]pyrimidin-2-one (thiones) and 5-aryl-substituted pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidindione (2-thiones) derivatives through a one-pot multicomponent reaction using diversified hybrid catalysts such as organocatalysts, metal catalysts, ionic liquid catalysts, nanocatalysts, green solvents, catalyst-/solvent-free conditions, and miscellaneous catalysts as well as the mechanism and recyclability of the catalysts. This review mainly focuses on the application of hybrid catalysts (from 1992 to 2022) for the synthesis of 5H-pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine scaffolds. This review will definitely attract the world's leading researchers to utilize broader catalytic applications for the development of lead molecules.

Abstract
Mesoporous materials, due to their unique textural and structural features and successful applications in different scientific areas, engrossed our curiosity to form a mesoporous nanostructure. A facile method for the formation of nickel ferrite immobilized over B,N,F tridoped mesoporous cerium oxide (CeO2) nanostructures (NFTDNC) was designed and communicated in this report. It was characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), powder X-ray diffraction study (PXRD), scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), field emission gun-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), photoluminescence (PL), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and elemental mapping, UV-visible spectroscopy (UV-VIS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The applications of the mesoporous nanomaterial (NFTDNC) as an adaptable heterogeneous nanocatalyst and as a phenomenal adsorbent for methyl orange (MO) dye were established. It catalyzed the formation of pyrazolopyranopyrimidine and 1H-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine-5,10-diones derivatives for the five runs. The recycled catalyst exhibited agglomeration in structural features confirmed by PXRD and HR-TEM studies. NFTDNC as an adsorbent fitted the Freundlich isotherm for the adsorption of MO dye. Moreover, it followed the linear pseudo-second-order kinetics rate equation (R2 ≥ 0.98914). MO was adsorbed completely in 60 min with the NFTDNC mesoporous nanostructure.

Therefore, this review highlights the biological characteristics and synthetic approaches adopted to prepare pyranopyrimidine analogs in the last five years. Several novel preparation procedures have been summarized to synthesize these compounds using ionic, basic, or nanocatalysts or catalyst-free conditions to obtain these compounds in good yields. Pyranopyrimidines could also be used as ligands in the preparation of metal complexes with increased biological potency. The different sections include the antimicrobial, antitubercular, antimalarial, antiviral "SARS-CoV-2 inhibitors", antidiabetic, antitumor, cytotoxic, antiinflammatory, antioxidant, anticoagulant, urease inhibitory activities, and tyrosine inhibitors. The results are discussed based on the structure-activity relationships (SARs) and the mechanism of action.
