Abstract
Particle manipulation is a central technique that enhances numerous scientific and medical applications by exploiting micro- and nanoscale control within fluidic environments. In this review, we systematically explore the multifaceted domain of particle manipulation under the influence of various X-force fields, integral to lab-on-a-chip technologies. We dissect the fundamental mechanisms of hydrodynamic, gravitational, optical, magnetic, electrical, and acoustic forces and detail their individual and synergistic applications. In particular, our discourse extends to advanced multi-modal manipulation strategies that harness the combined power of these forces, revealing their enhanced efficiency and precision in complex assays and diagnostic frameworks. The integration of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and autonomous systems further enhances the capabilities of these microfluidic platforms, leading to transformative innovations in personalized medicine and point-of-care diagnostics. This review not only highlights current technological advances, but also forecasts the trajectory of future developments, emphasizing the escalating precision and scalability essential for advancing lab-on-a-chip applications.

Abstract
Magnetic microswarms capable of performing navigation to targeted lesions show great potential for in vivo medical applications. However, using the swarms for lesion cavity filling encounters challenges from precise delivery and sealing. Herein, this work develops a magneto-thermal hydrogel swarm consisting of magnetic hydrogel particles, which can perform phase transition induced by temperature change. The particles are prepared using a temperature-responsive hydrogel matrix, tissue adhesive monomers, and magnetic microparticles. The swarms can be remolded to various shapes, and it can be used to seal perforation in phantom and gastric tissue. The swarms can also serve as drug carriers, and their drug release profiles induced by temperature changes are characterized. Finally, the targeted delivery, adaptive filling, and sealing of a gastric ulcer using the swarms are achieved in ex vivo and in vivo environments.

Abstract
Swarm intelligence, evolved from the self-organized behavior of social insects, has become an essential method under artificial intelligence for handling complex and dynamic issues. This study visualizes and analyzes the use of swarm intelligence in healthcare, focusing on its role in managing rising medical data complexity, optimizing diagnostic and therapeutic solutions, and supporting personalized healthcare. The analysis, based on literature from Scopus (2003-2024) using Biblioshiny and VOSviewer, reveals a strong increase in publications since 2017, with central themes around disease diagnosis, treatment optimization, medical image analysis, and real-time patient monitoring through frameworks like the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) and swarm learning. Key findings include the identification of prolific authors, influential journals, and significant collaborative networks, with China and India emerging as major contributors. These insights underscore the multidisciplinary nature of swarm intelligence in healthcare, positioning it as a potential game-changer in medical diagnostics and patient care through collaborative and innovative research.

Abstract
Magnetic motors are a class of out-of-equilibrium particles that exhibit controlled and fast motion overcoming Brownian fluctuations by harnessing external magnetic fields. The advances in this field resulted in motors that have been used for different applications, such as biomedicine or environmental remediation. In this Perspective, an overview of the recent advancements of magnetic motors is provided, with a special focus on controlled motion. This aspect extends from trapping, steering, and guidance to organized motor grouping and degrouping, which is known as swarm control. Further, the integration of magnetic motors in soft robots to actuate their motion is also discussed. Finally, some remarks and perspectives of the field are outlined.

Abstract
Recently, magnetically actuated micro/nanorobots hold extensive promises in biomedical applications due to their advantages of noninvasiveness, fuel-free operation, and programmable nature. While effectively promised in various fields such as targeted delivery, most past investigations are mainly displayed in magnetic control of individual micro/nanorobots. Facing practical medical use, the micro/nanorobots are required for the development of swarm control in a closed-loop control manner. This review outlines the recent developments in magnetic micro/nanorobot swarms, including their actuating fundamentals, designs, controls, and biomedical applications. The fundamental principles and interactions involved in the formation of magnetic micro/nanorobot swarms are discussed first. The recent advances in the design of artificial and biohybrid micro/nanorobot swarms, along with the control devices and methods used for swarm manipulation, are presented. Furthermore, biomedical applications that have the potential to achieve clinical application are introduced, such as imaging-guided therapy, targeted delivery, embolization, and biofilm eradication. By addressing the potential challenges discussed toward the end of this review, magnetic micro/nanorobot swarms hold promise for clinical treatments in the future.

Abstract
Cancer therapeutic vaccine can induce antigen-specific immune response, which has shown great potential in cancer immunotherapy. As the key factor of vaccine, antigen plays a central role in eliciting antitumor immunity. However, the insufficient antigen delivery and low efficiency of antigen presentation by dendritic cells (DCs) have greatly restricted the therapeutic efficiency of vaccine. Here we developed a kind of DC hybrid zinc phosphate nanoparticles to co-deliver antigenic peptide and photosensitive melanin. Owing to the chelating ability of Zn2+, the nanoparticles can co-encapsulate antigenic peptide and melanin with high efficiency. The nanovaccine showed good physiological stability with the hydration particle size was approximately 30 nm, and zeta potential was around - 10 mV. The nanovaccine showed homologous targeting effect to DCs in vivo and in vitro, efficiently delivering antigen to DCs. Meanwhile, the nanovaccine could effectively reflux to the tumor-draining lymph nodes. When combined with near-infrared irradiation, the nanovaccine induced effective mild heat in vitro and in vivo to promote antigen presentation. After administrating to MC38 tumor-bearing mice, the hybrid nanovaccine effectively promoted the maturation of DCs, the expansion of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and helper T cells, and the secretion of immunostimulatory cytokines, thereby significantly inhibiting tumor growth.
