Abstract
Hair follicle nevus (HFN) is a rare hamartomatous lesion of the folliculosebaceous unit, with or without admixed fibroadipose or muscular tissue. It typically has a congenital presentation in the preauricular area of infants and is frequently confused with an accessory tragus. Acquired tumors with similar histopathologic features have been described infrequently during adolescence and adult life. We report yet another unique presentation of this unusual lesion in a 4-year-old girl who had a long-standing tumor of the nasal columella that started growing rapidly after trauma. Histopathologic examination revealed increased numbers of hair follicles, some of which were associated with diminutive sebaceous glands, with no associated central cystic structure. In addition, the infundibula of the follicles were dilated and filled with keratinous debris. Although these hamartomas are common in the head and neck region, to our knowledge, this is the first report of a HFN at this anatomic location. In addition, this tumor has an overall architecture of a HFN but is accompanied by features of a comedo nevus. We also present a review of the literature and summarize the current diagnostic criteria for HFN.

Abstract
Twelve previously unreported cases of nevus comedonicus are presented. Characteristic closely grouped dilated follicular openings with horny plugs that mimic comedones led to the diagnosis. One patient had nevus comedonicus syndrome and there were cases with atypical locations and unusual complications of this condition. We also highlight clinical associations and therapeutic options.

Abstract
The term epidermal nevus syndrome (ENS) has been used to describe the association of epidermal hamartomas and extracutaneous abnormalities. Although many continue to use the term "ENS," it is now understood that this is not one disease, but rather a heterogeneous group with distinct genetic profiles defined by a common cutaneous phenotype: the presence of epidermal and adnexal hamartomas that are associated with other organ system involvement. One commonality is that epidermal nevi often follow the lines of Blaschko and it appears the more widespread the cutaneous manifestations, the greater the risk for extracutaneous manifestations. The majority of the extracutaneous manifestations involve the brain, eye, and skeletal systems. The CNS involvement is wide ranging and involves both clinical manifestations such as intellectual disability and seizures, as well as structural anomalies. Several subsets of ENS with characteristic features have been delineated including the nevus sebaceus syndrome, Proteus syndrome, CHILD syndrome, Becker's nevus syndrome, nevus comedonicus syndrome, and phakomatosis pigmentokeratotica. Advances in molecular biology have revealed that the manifestations of ENS are due to genomic mosaicism. It is likely that the varied clinical manifestations of ENS are due in great part to the functional effects of specific genetic defects. Optimal management of the patient with ENS involves an interdisciplinary approach given the potential for multisystem involvement. Of note, epidermal nevi have been associated with both benign and malignant neoplasms, and thus ongoing clinical follow-up is required.

Abstract
The intention of this review on nevus comedonicus (NC) is to update on clinical features, pathogenesis, and therapy. NC is a rare epidermal nevus type. It is part of the nevus comedonicus syndrome, a neurocutaneous disorder with ocular, skeletal, and central nervous symptoms. Recently, acne-related signaling pathways and somatic mutations of tyrosine kinase receptors have been identified and may play a role in NC pathogenesis. On preexistent NC secondary skin tumors can develop, which are often benign. Treatment options of NC include topical therapy, laser, and surgery.

Abstract
Hidradenoma papilliferum of the anogenital region was previously believed to originate from apocrine glands but has recently been accepted as originating from anogenital mammary-like glands. We describe a case of hidradenoma papilliferum with mixed features of syringocystadenoma papilliferum and mammary-like glands from the left labia majora of a 25-year-old woman. Histopathologically, the lesion showed an epithelial lining with apocrine secretion, and like syringocystadenoma papilliferum, the lesion extended from the epithelium as invaginations into the dermis. Adjacent to this lesion were ductal and glandular structures resembling normal mammary tissue. This review of the literature highlights the heterogeneity and complexity of lesions arising from anogenital mammary-like glands, and this case serves as further documentation of the association between anogenital mammary-like glands and hidradenoma papilliferum.

Abstract
Syringocystadenoma papilliferum (SCAP) most frequently arises from an organoid nevus on the head and neck. Zonal or segmental lesions occurring in other locations are rare. Here, we report a case of a 39-year-old woman with an SCAP clinically mimicking verruca vulgaris in a zonal distribution on her right axilla after her birth. Histopathologic examination showed it to be a typical SCAP. Furthermore, the tumor had a warty surface, which histologically revealed some signs of viral infection. Although polymerase chain reactions for low- and high-risk human papilloma virus types were negative, the relationship of SCAP with viral infection needs further investigation.

Abstract
Hidradenoma papilliferum is a benign tumor that usually occurs in the female anogenital region. We present a 52-year-old male with a non-anogenital (ectopic) hidradenoma papilliferum on his face. He had had a subcutaneous tumor on his right eyebrow for 30 years. The histological findings included variously shaped cystic and tubular structures in the tumor. The lumina were surrounded by a double layer of cells and showed active decapitation secretion. The lesion contained sebaceous differentiation, which has not been previously documented in the histopathology of hidradenoma papilliferum. We review the published work of non-anogenital (ectopic) hidradenoma papilliferum tumors on the head and neck.

Abstract
Syringocystadenoma Papilliferum (SCAP) is a benign adnexal tumor which most frequently arises from an organoid nevus on the head and neck. Although they are rarely found on the trunk and limbs, we treated a case of this disorder on the lower leg. A 26-year-old man had an asymptomatic tumor on his lower leg. Histopathological examination showed it to be a typical SCAP on organoid nevus. This is the first report of SCAP on the lower leg.

Abstract
A case of hidradenoma papilliferum with mixed features of syringocystadenoma papilliferum (SCAP) and anogenital mammary-like glands is reported. A single, fresh red-colored nodule developed in the sulcus between the labia majora and minora of a 49-year-old Japanese woman. Histopathologically, the tumor showed epithelial lining with apocrine secretion and slight connective tissues characteristics. Our case was unique because, like SCAP, the tumor was connected to the epidermis and cystic invaginations extended downward into the deep dermis. In addition, beneath the tumor, tubular structures that resembled normal mammary tissue were present in the subcutaneous fatty tissue. In this study, it has been suggested that this tumor might have been developed from these mammary-like glands.
