Abstract
Electronic energy transfer in molecular wires is usually theoretically investigated with a harmonic bath to model the environment. The present study is a continuation of our previous work [A. Sindhu and A. Jain, Chem. Phys. Chem. 23, e2022003 (2022)] on studying the dynamics of molecular wires using surface hopping simulations. We extend our study to a 7-site model Hamiltonian and investigate the effects of an anharmonic bath on coherent energy transfer in molecular wires. We show that oscillatory and coherent population dynamics remain intact even in the presence of the anharmonic bath and further highlight the multiple channels available for energy flow in molecular wires.

Abstract
The small matrix decomposition of the quasi-adiabatic propagator path integral (SMatPI) for a system coupled to a harmonic bath, which accounts for multitime memory correlations in the influence functional without the use of tensors, is extended to include a time-dependent term that drives the system. In the case of a periodic field, the algorithm requires the construction of SMatPI matrices initialized over a short time interval. The SMatPI algorithm circumvents the large array storage of tensor-based iterative path integral decompositions and, in the case of a periodic field, also eliminates the demanding tensor multiplication at each time step, leading to dramatic savings which allow the fully quantum mechanical treatment of multistate systems and long-memory environments.

Abstract
A framework for simulating electronic spectra from photon-echo experiments is constructed by using a numerical path integral technique. This method is non-Markovian and nonperturbative and, more importantly, is not limited by a fixed form of the spectral density functions of the environment. Next, a two-dimensional (2D) third-order electronic spectrum of a dimer system is simulated. The spectrum is in agreement with the experimental and theoretical results previously reported [for example, M. Khalil, N. Demirdöven, and A. Tokmakoff, Phys. Rev. Lett. 90, 047401 (2003)]. Finally, a 2D third-order electronic spectrum of the Fenna-Matthews-Olson (FMO) complex is simulated by using the Debye, Ohmic, and Adolphs and Renger spectral density functions. It is shown that this method can clearly produce the spectral signatures of the FMO complex by using only the Adolphs and Renger spectral density function. Plots of the evolution of the diagonal and cross-peaks show that they are oscillating with the population time.

Abstract
By using a hierarchical equations-of-motion approach, we reproduce the two-dimensional electronic spectra of phycoerythrin 545 from Rhodomonas CS24 at ambient temperature (294 K). The simulated spectra are in agreement with the experimental results reported in Wong et al. (Nat. Chem. 2012, 4, 396). The evolutions of cross peaks for rephasing spectra and diagonal peaks for nonrephasing spectra have also been plotted. The peaks oscillate with the population times, with frequencies, phases, and amplitudes of the oscillating curves also being qualitatively consistent with the experimental results.

Abstract
Escape from a metastable state in the presence of a high-frequency field (where the driving becomes nonadiabatic) underlies a broad range of phenomena of physics and chemistry, and thus its understanding is of paramount importance. We study the problem of intermediate-to-high-damping escape from a metastable state of a dissipative system driven by a rapidly oscillating field, one of the most important classes of nonequilibrium systems, in a broad range of field driving frequencies (ω) and amplitudes (a). We construct a Langevin equation using quantum gauge transformation in the light of Floquet theorem and exploiting a systematic perturbative expansion in powers of 1/ω using "Kapitza-Landau time window". The quantum dynamics in a high-frequency field are found to be described by an effective time-independent potential. The temperature dependence of escape rate and the change of its form with varying parameters of the field have been analyzed. It may decrease upon increasing the temperature which is contingent on the effects of intricate interplay between external modulation and dissipation. The crossover temperature between tunnelling and thermal hopping increases with an increase in external modulation so that quantum effects in the escape are relevant at higher temperatures. These observations are uncommon and counterintuitive and, therefore, of considerable interest. Our results might be valuable for the exploration of the dynamics of cold atoms in electromagnetic fields.

Abstract
Semiclassical approximations to quantum mechanics can include quantum coherence effects in dynamical calculations based on classical mechanics. The Herman-Kluk (HK) semiclassical propagator has been demonstrated to reproduce quantum effects in nonlinear vibrational response functions of anharmonic oscillators but does not provide a practical numerical route to calculations for multiple degrees of freedom. In an HK calculation of a response function, quantum coherence effects enter through interference between pairs of classical trajectories. We have previously elucidated the mechanism by which the HK approximation reproduces quantum effects in response functions in the regime of quasiperiodic dynamics. We have applied this understanding to significantly simplify the semiclassical calculation of response functions in this dynamical regime. The phase space difference between trajectories is treated perturbatively in anharmonicity, allowing integration over these differences to be performed analytically and leaving integration over mean trajectories to be performed numerically. This mean-trajectory (MT) approximation has been applied to linear and nonlinear vibrational response functions for isolated and coupled anharmonic motions. Here, we derive an MT approximation for the Liouville space time evolution operator or superoperator that propagates the density operator. This analysis provides a form of the MT approximation that is readily applicable to other dynamical quantities besides response functions and clarifies the connection between semiclassical quantization of propagators for the wave function and for the density operator.
