High resolution infrared emission spectra of AlH and AlD

Ab Initio Ground-State Potential Energy Function and Vibration-Rotation Energy Levels of Aluminum Monohydride

The accurate ground-state potential energy function of aluminum monohydride (AlH) has been determined from ab initio calculations using the multireference averaged coupled-pair functional (MR-ACPF) method in conjunction with the correlation-consistent core-valence basis sets up to septuple-zeta quality. The vibration-rotation energy levels of the two isotopologues, AlH and AlD, were predicted to near the "spectroscopic" accuracy. The importance of electron correlation beyond the MR-ACPF level of approximation, the scalar relativistic, spin-orbit, adiabatic, and nonadiabatic effects was discussed. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

The B Σ+ and X 1Σ+ Electronic States of Hydrogen Fluoride: A Direct Potential Fit Analysis

All literature pure rotational and vibration-rotational spectroscopic data on the ground X (1)Sigma(+) electronic state of HF and DF, together with the entire set of spectroscopic line positions from analyses of the B (1)Sigma(+) --> X (1)Sigma(+) emission band systems of HF and DF, have been used in a global least-squares fit to the radial Hamiltonian operators, in compact analytic form, for both electronic states. With a data set consisting of 6157 spectroscopic line positions, the reduced standard deviation of the fit was sigma = 1.028. Sets of quantum mechanically significant rotational and centrifugal distortion constants were calculated for both electronic states using Rayleigh-Schrödinger perturbation theory.

Hyperfine Parameters for Aluminum Hydride: An ab Initio Molecular Orbital Study

An extensive ab initio molecular orbital study of the (27)Al nuclear spin-rotation and nuclear quadrupolar coupling constants in aluminum hydride, AlH, has been performed. The (27)Al nuclear spin-rotation constant (C( perpendicular)), calculated to be approximately 300 kHz, was neglected in a previous analysis of the hyperfine structure in the microwave spectrum (M. Goto and S. Saito, Astrophys. J. 452, L147-148 (1995)). Unfortunately, the ab initio calculations do not provide a definitive value for the aluminum nuclear quadrupolar coupling constant, but suggest a value of -49+/-4 MHz. It is apparent that the microwave study of AlH should be repeated. Copyright 2001 Academic Press.

High-resolution Fourier-transform emission spectroscopy of the A(1)II-X(1)Σ(+) system of AIH

The emission spectrum of the A(1)II-X(1)Σ(+) system of AIH, excited in a hollow-cathode discharge lamp, has been observed at high resolution with a Fourier-transform spectrometer. The rotational lines in the 0-0 and the 1-1 bands have been measured with a precision of ±0.001 cm(-1). The present measurements provide a considerable improvement overthe previous data of Zeeman and Ritter [Can. J. Phys. 32, 555 (1954)]. The present data, combined with the previous high-resolution measurements of the 1-0 vibration-rotation band by White et al. [J. Chem. Phys. 99, 8371 (1993)] and the J = 1-0 pure rotational line of Goto and Saito [Astrophys. J. 452, L147 (1995)] have been used to determine improved molecular constants for the A(1)!! state.
