Abstract
An efficient one-pot synthesis of 1,2,5-trisubstituted-1,2-dihydro-3H-pyrrole-3-thiones (up to 91% yield), representatives of essentially new heterocyclic systems, by the successive treatment of available propargylamines with acyl chlorides (PdCl2/CuI/Ph3P/Et3N, toluene, 40-45 °C, 3 h) and sodium sulfide (Na2S·9H2O, EtOH, 20-25 °C, 7 h) has been developed. The synthesis comprises the addition of sulfide anions to the formed aminoacetylenic ketones followed by dehydrative cyclization of the prototropically rearranged adducts.

Abstract
Acylethynylpyrroles, now readily available by the cross-coupling of pyrroles with acylbromoacetylenes in solid Al2O3 media, in the presence of 1-methylimidazole underwent unprecedentedly easy (40–45 °C) cyclodimerization into bis(acylmethylidene)dipyrrolo[1,2-a:1′,2′-d]pyrazines in up to 51% yield. Some other organic and inorganic basic catalysts can also trigger this cyclodimerization, but less efficiently.

Abstract
An efficient method for the synthesis of pharmaceutically and high-tech prospective 2-(3-amino-2,4-dicyanophenyl)pyrroles (in up to 88% yield) via the reaction of easily available substituted acylethynylpyrroles with malononitrile has been developed. The reaction proceeds in the KOH/MeCN system at 0 °C for 2 h. In the case of 2-acylethynylpyrroles without substituents in the pyrrole ring, the reaction changes direction: instead of the target 2-(3-amino-2,4-dicyanophenyl)pyrroles, the unexpected formation of pyrrolyldienols and products of their intramolecular cyclization, 3-amino-1-acylethylidene-2-cyanopyrrolizines, is observed.

Abstract
The publications covering new, transition metal-free cross-coupling reactions of pyrroles with electrophilic haloacetylenes in solid medium of metal oxides and salts to regioselectively afford 2-ethynylpyrroles are discussed. The reactions proceed at room temperature without catalyst and base under solvent-free conditions. These ethynylation reactions seem to be particularly important, since the common Sonogashira coupling does not allow ethynylpyrroles with strong electron-withdrawing substituents at the acetylenic fragments to be synthesized. The results on the behavior of furans, thiophenes, and pyrazoles under the conditions of these reactions are also provided. The reactivity and structural peculiarities of nucleophilic addition to the activated acetylene moiety of the novel C-ethynylpyrroles are considered.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Alkynes are actually basic chemicals, serving as privileged synthons for planning new organic reactions for assemblage of a reactive motif, which easily undergoes a further desirable transformation. Name reactions, in organic chemistry are referred to those reactions which are well-recognized and reached to such status for being called as their explorers, discoverers or developers. Alkynes have been used in various name reactions. In this review, we try to underscore the applications of alkynes as privileged synthons in prevalent name reactions such as Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddtion via Click reaction, Sonogashira reaction, and Hetero Diels-Alder reaction. OBJECTIVE In this review, we try to underscore the applications of alkynes as privileged synthons in the formation of heterocycles, focused on the selected reactions of alkynes as a synthon or impending utilization in synthetic organic chemistry, which have reached such high status for being included in the list of name reactions in organic chemistry. CONCLUSION Alkynes (including acetylene) are an unsaturated hydrocarbon bearing one or more triple C-C bond. Remarkably, alkynes and their derivatives are frequently being used as molecular scaffolds for planning new organic reactions and installing reactive functional group for further reaction. It is worth mentioning that in general, the terminal alkynes are more useful and more frequently being used in the art of organic synthesis. Remarkably, alkynes have found different applications in pharmacology, nanotechnology, as well as being known as appropriate starting precursors for the total synthesis of natural products and biologically active complex compounds. They are predominantly applied in various name reactions such as Sonogashira, Glaser reaction, Friedel-crafts reaction, Castro-Stephens coupling, Huisgen 1.3-dipolar cycloaddtion reaction via Click reaction, Sonogashira reaction, hetero-Diels-Alder reaction. In this review, we tried to impress the readers by presenting selected name reactions, which use the alkynes as either stating materials or precursors. We disclosed the applications of alkynes as a privileged synthons in several popular reactions, which reached to such high status being classified as name reactions. They are thriving and well known and established name reactions in organic chemistry such as Regioselective, 1,3-dipolar Huisgen cycloaddtion reaction via Click reaction, Sonogashira reaction and Diels-Alder reaction.

Abstract
A double C-H activation and double insertion process to achieve the synthesis benzo[e]indole frameworks has been disclosed. This type of benzannulation is directed by a trifluoromethylketone moiety, which is easy to install on the indole C3-position. Overall the reaction takes places as an oxidative cyclization of two alkynes with the C4-C5 position of indole.

Abstract
The first synthesis of pyrroles by Fe(II)-catalyzed isomerization of 4-vinylisoxazoles is reported. 5-Alkoxy, amino, and N,N-dialkylamino-3-aryl/alkyl-4-(2-R-vinyl)isoxazoles afford 2-aryl/alkyl-5-aryl/alkyl/methoxycarbonyl-1H-pyrrol-3-carboxylic acid derivatives typically under mild conditions with cheap and available FeCl2·4H2O as a catalyst. The isomerization of 5-alkoxy/amino-3-arylisoxazoles, bearing unsaturated carbo and heterocyclic substituents at the position 4, gives the corresponding fused pyrrolecarboxylic acid derivatives in high yields. DFT calculations were used to elucidate a probable mechanism of the isomerization and explain the influence of steric congestion of the vinyl moiety on the isomerization pathway.

Abstract
In this contribution, the synthesis of long chain hexatriynyl- and octatetraynyl-substituted pyrroles in one step from 1-halopolyyne precursors is reported. The products were obtained via a mechanochemical approach by simple grinding of 1-haloalkynes with N-substituted pyrroles and potassium carbonate which played a role of heterogeneous catalyst and this solvent- and transition metal-free approach is unprecedent in the synthesis of new, organic, long chain polyynes. Additionally, an extensive X-ray single crystal study of pyrrole end-capped polyynes is presented. Such compounds are possible substrates for different oligoheterocycles and have a significant application potential such as for instance molecular wires.
