Abstract
A greener, safer, and more efficient methodology for the synthesis of (Z)-5-benzylidene-2-thioxothiazolidin-4-ones (3 a-u) and (Z)-5-benzylidenethiazolidine-2,4-diones (4 a-i) has been developed. The deep eutectic solvent (DES) ZnCl2/urea used as a greener solvent as well as a catalyst in this study accelerated the condensation of rhodanine and thiazolidine-2,4-dione with different aldehydes to afford the target scaffolds in excellent yields (88-98 %). The reaction methodology adopted offered significant advantages such as mild reaction conditions, functional group tolerance, quick reaction time, column-free isolation, catalytic recyclability, and applicability to gram-scale production. Moreover, density function theory calculations were carried out to investigate the global reactivity and stability profiles of these compounds. Finally, the green metrics analysis supported the greener nature of the present methodology.

Valorization of Waste Cooking Oil into Biodiesel via Bacillus stratosphericus Lipase Amine-Functionalized Mesoporous SBA-15 Nanobiocatalyst. INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING 2022. Abstract
In this study, evaporation-induced self-assembly was applied to prepare amine-functionalized nano-silica (NH2-Pr-SBA-15). That was simply used to immobilize Bacillus stratosphericus PSP8 lipase (E–NH2–Pr-SBA-15), producing a nanobiocatalyst with good stability under vigorous shaking and a maximum lipase activity of 45 ± 2 U/mL. High-resolution X-ray diffractometer, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, N2 adsorption-desorption, field-emission scanning electron, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopic analyses proved the successful SBA-15 functionalization and enzyme immobilization. Response surface methodology based on a 1/2 fraction-three-levels face center composite design was applied to optimize the biodiesel transesterification process. This expressed efficient percentage conversion (97.85%) and biodiesel yield (97.01%) under relatively mild operating conditions: 3.12 : 1 methanol to oil ratio, 3.08 wt.% E–NH2–Pr-SBA-15 loading, 48.6°C, 3.19 h at a mixing rate of 495.53 rpm. E–NH2–Pr-SBA-15 proved to have a long lifetime, operational stability, and reusability.

Abstract
Ultrasound is an essential technique to improve organic synthesis from the point of view of green chemistry, as it can promote better yields and selectivities, in addition to shorter reaction times when compared to the conventional methods. Heterogeneous catalysis is another pillar of sustainable chemistry being the recycling and reuse of the catalysts one of its great advantage. In the other hand, multicomponent reactions provide the synthesis of structurally diverse compounds, in a one-pot fashion, without isolation and purification of intermediates. Thus, the combination of these protocols has proved to be a powerful tool to obtain biologically active organic compounds with lower costs, time and energy consumption. Herein, we provide a comprehensive overview of advances on methods of organic synthesis that have been reported over the past ten years with focus on ultrasound-assisted multicomponent reactions under heterogeneous catalysis. In particular, we present pharmacologically important N- and O-heterocyclic compounds, considering their synthetic methods using green solvents, and catalyst recycling.

Abstract
For the first time, a new and facile Ag@PM-b-B nanocomposite electrochemical sensor was successfully developed for the detection of glucose. Also, the magnetically recoverable catalyst was easily recycled at least ten times without significant loss of catalytic activity.
