Abstract
This research presents a sustainable approach to fabricate iron oxide nanoparticles by employing phytochemicals derived from marine grass extract as both reducing and stabilizing agents. Formation of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) initially confirmed by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis) showing absorption peak at 370 nm. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques unveiled magnetic iron oxide NPs with a rod shape, an average size of 21 nm, and an inverse spinel crystal structure. The participation of organic compounds in the production and stabilization of MNPs was evidenced through Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). A vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) demonstrated the magnetic properties of iron oxide NPs showing a saturation magnetization value of 21.46 emu/g. The catalytic efficiency of these marine-assisted MNPs was evaluated in a one-pot three-component reaction involving isatoic anhydride, aromatic aldehydes, and amines under ultrasonic conditions. Under optimal conditions, a low dose of 1.5 mg of biobased magnetite nanoparticles yielded dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-One products with up to 95 % efficiency in a brief duration of 15 min at an ultrasonic power intensity of 130 W. Different directing groups were investigated, and control experiments were carried out to enhance the understanding of the reaction mechanism. The obtained results highlight the synergistic effect of marine grass-mediated magnetic nanocatalysts combined with ultrasonic-assisted synthesis in developing sustainable green methodologies in organic synthesis.

Abstract
Platform chemicals, also known as chemical building blocks, are substances that serve as starting materials for the synthesis of various value-added products, which find a wide range of applications. These chemicals are the key ingredients for many fine and specialty chemicals. Most of the transformations of platform chemicals are catalytic processes, which should meet the requirements of sustainable chemistry: to be not toxic for humans, to be safe for the environment, and to allow multiple reuses of catalytic materials. This paper presents an overview of a new class of heterogeneous catalysts based on nanoparticles of catalytically active metals stabilized by a polymer matrix of hypercrosslinked polystyrene (HPS). This polymeric support is characterized by hierarchical porosity (including meso- and macropores along with micropores), which is important both for the formation of metal nanoparticles and for efficient mass transfer of reactants. The influence of key parameters such as the morphology of nanoparticles (bimetallic versus monometallic) and the presence of functional groups in the polymer matrix on the catalytic properties is considered. Emphasis is placed on the use of this class of heterogeneous catalysts for the conversion of plant polysaccharides into polyols (sorbitol, mannitol, and glycols), hydrogenation of levulinic acid, furfural, oxidation of disaccharides, and some other reactions that might be useful for large-scale industrial processes that aim to be sustainable. Some challenges related to the use of HPS-based catalysts are addressed and multiple perspectives are discussed.

Abstract
Diaryl ketone derivatives include well-known compounds with important physiological and biological properties. In order to prepare diaryl ketone derivatives, we constructed a pallidum (0) complex immobilized on Fe3O4 nanoparticles modified with aminobenzoic acid and phenanthroline [Fe3O4@ABA/Phen-DCA-Pd(0)], and evaluated its catalytic performance for carbonylative Suzuki-coupling reactions of aryl iodides with aryl boronic acid in the presence of Mo(CO)6 as the CO source under mild conditions. FT-IR, SEM, TEM, EDX, VSM, TGA, XRD, ICP-OES and Elemental mapping techniques were employed to identify the structure of the Fe3O4@ABA/Phen-DCA-Pd(0) nanocatalyst. Different derivatives of aryl iodides and aryl boronic acids containing withdrawing and donating functional groups were studied for the preparation of diaryl ketones. Also, various derivatives of heteroaryl iodides and boronic acids were used and the desired products were prepared with high yields. The Fe3O4@ABA/Phen-DCA-Pd(0) nanocatalyst was separated magnetically and reused 7 consecutive times without reducing its catalytic activity. VSM, TEM and ICP-OES spectroscopic techniques confirmed that the synthesized Fe3O4@ABA/Phen-DCA-Pd(0) catalyst was still stable and maintained its structure despite repeated reuse.

Abstract
Herein, we developed a novel composite called FeCeOx@g-C3N4 through a combination of sonication, sintering, and hydrothermal techniques to implement the principles of green chemistry by utilizing reusable nanocomposites in one-pot reactions. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the catalyst's structure, composition, and morphology, various characterization methods were employed. These included FT-IR analysis to examine chemical bonds, SEM and TEM imaging to visualize the catalyst's surface and internal structure, TGA to assess thermal stability, EDS for elemental composition analysis, and XRD to determine crystal structure. The FeCeOx@g-C3N4 nanocatalyst demonstrated remarkable efficacy in the one-pot synthesis of 2,4,5-trisubstituted and 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazole. Noteworthy features of this catalyst included high percentage yield, mild reaction conditions, short reaction time, and an efficient and straightforward procedure. Furthermore, the FeCeOx@g-C3N4 composite exhibited excellent recyclability and reusability. It could be recycled and reused up to four times without a significant decline in catalytic activity.

Abstract
Magnetic boehmite nanoparticles (Fe3O4@boehmite NPs) were synthesized from a hybrid of boehmite and Fe3O4 nanoparticles. At first, boehmite nanoparticles (aluminum oxide hydroxide) were prepared via a simple procedure in water using commercially available materials such as sodium hydroxide and aluminum nitrate. Then, these nanoparticles were magnetized using Fe3O4 NPs in a basic solution of FeCl2·4H2O and FeCl3·6H2O. Fe3O4@boehmite NPs have advantages of both boehmite nanoparticles and Fe3O4 magnetic materials. Magnetic boehmite nanoparticles have been characterized by various techniques such as TEM, SEM, EDS, WDX, ICP, FT-IR, Raman, XRD and VSM. SEM and TEM images confirmed that particles size are less than 50 nm in diameter with a cubic orthorhombic structure. Then, Fe3O4@boehmite NPs were applied as a homoselective, highly efficient, cheap, biocompatibility, heterogeneous and magnetically recoverable nanocatalyst in the synthesis of 5-substituted 1H-tetrazole derivatives. Fe3O4@boehmite NPs can be recycled for several runs in the synthesis of tetrazoles. Also, all tetrazoles were isolated in high yields, which reveals high activity of Fe3O4@boehmite NPs in the synthesis of tetrazole derivatives. Fe3O4@boehmite NPs shows a good homoselectivity in synthesis of 5-substituted 1H-tetrazole derivatives.

Abstract
The dynamic growth in green organic synthetic methodologies for diverse heterocyclic scaffolds has substantially contributed to the field of medicinal chemistry over the last few decades. The use of hybrid metal nanocatalysts (NCs) is one such benign strategy for ensuring the advancement of modern synthetic chemistry by adhering to the principles of green chemistry, which call for a sustainable catalytic system that converts reacting species into profitable chemicals at a faster rate and tends to reduce waste generation. The metal nanoparticles (NPs) enhance the exposed surface area of the catalytic active sites, thereby making it easier for reactants and metal NCs to have an effective interaction. Several review articles have been published on the preparation of metal NCs and their uses for various catalytic heterocyclic transformations. This review will summarize different metal NCs for the efficient green synthesis of various O-heterocycles. Furthermore, the review will provide a concise overview of the role of metal NCs in the synthesis of O-heterocycles and will be extremely useful to researchers working on developing novel green and simple synthetic pathways to various O-heterocyclic-derived molecules.
