Abstract
PURPOSE Numerous researches have demonstrated that sleep quality deteriorates during menopause, but the prevalence rates vary between studies. The purpose of this meta-analysis was to determine the pooled prevalence of poor sleep quality during menopause and to explore potential moderators of discrepancies in prevalence between studies. METHODS Web of Science, PubMed, PsycINFO and Embase databases were comprehensively searched from database creation to June 19, 2024. Studies were included if they focused on menopausal women and provided an estimate of the prevalence of poor sleep quality, which could be derived from the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). RESULTS Totally, 37 studies with 29,284 menopausal women were included in the analysis. A meta-analysis based on a random-effects model revealed that the prevalence of poor sleep quality during menopause was 50.8% (95% CI: 45.4-56.3%). The PSQI score was 6.24 (95% CI: 5.73-6.75). Subgroup analyses indicated that cut-off values of PSQI, menopausal status, age range, depressive symptoms and geographic region moderated the prevalence of poor sleep quality. Meta-regression analyses indicated that quality score was negatively correlated with the pooled prevalence. CONCLUSIONS Poor sleep quality is a prevalent phenomenon among women during menopause. In light of the numerous adverse effects of poor sleep quality on menopausal women, it is of paramount importance to assess sleep quality on a regular basis and to implement effective interventions for menopausal women.

Abstract
Some healthy lifestyle components have been linked with sleep disordered breathing (SDB), yet little is known about the relationship between comprehensive lifestyle factors and SDB. This study aimed to examine the healthy lifestyle with SDB in community-dwelling adults. We conducted a cross-sectional analysis of the Suzhou Food Consumption and Health Survey in China between 2018 and 2020. The healthy lifestyle index (HLI) was created by combining smoking, alcohol drinking, diet, physical activity, and body mass index (BMI). Its association with SDB was assessed by multiple logistic regression analysis. Subgroup analysis and sensitivity analysis were conducted to assess the robustness of our results. The final analysis included 3788 participants (2859 without SDB and 929 with SDB). In multivariable-adjusted analyses, non-smoking (OR: 0.58, 95 % CI: 0.47-0.71), non-drinking (OR: 0.55, 95 % CI: 0.45-0.68), healthy diet (OR: 0.79, 95 % CI: 0.65-0.95), and healthy BMI (OR: 0.72, 95 % CI: 0.6-0.86) were associated with SDB. Compared with participants with HLI score of 0-1, participants with HLI score of 2, 3, 4, and 5 had OR of 0.68 (95 % CI: 0.51-0.91), 0.49 (95 % CI: 0.37-0.64), 0.29 (95 % CI: 0.21-0.38), and 0.22 (95 % CI: 0.15-0.33), respectively, after adjustment for confounding factors (P-trend<0.001). An inverse dose-response relationship between HLI and SDB was also observed. The association was similar in subgroups stratified by sex, marital status, diabetes and dyslipidemia. A higher score of HLI was associated with reduced odds of SDB in Chinese adults. Our findings suggest the potential of addressing five modifiable lifestyle factors for the prevention of SDB.

Abstract
BACKGROUND No studies investigated the whole effect of modifiable lifestyle factors on OSA risk. This study aimed to examine the individual and combined effects of lifestyle factors on OSA risk among Chinese adults. METHODS This cross-sectional study included 9733 participants aged 35 to 74 years from the baseline survey of Guangzhou Heart Study. OSA was evaluated by Berlin Questionnaire. The healthy lifestyle score (HLS), representing the overall effect of lifestyles, was derived from seven lifestyle factors: active smoking, passive smoking, alcohol, diet, waist-hip ratio, leisure-time physical activity, and mental status. Odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) was calculated using the multivariate logistic regression model. RESULTS 8107 participants were divided into the non-OSA group and 1626 participants into the OSA group. No passive smoking (OR 0.83, 95% CI 0.74-0.94), healthy waist-hip ratio (OR 0.67, 95% CI 0.58-0.77) and healthy mental status (OR 0.45, 95% CI 0. 29-0.73) were associated with a reduced risk of OSA after adjusting for confounders, while others not. Participants with higher HLS were negatively associated with OSA risk (P-trend < 0.001). In comparison to the participants with 0-3 HLS, the OR for participants with 4, 5, 6, and 7 HLS was 0.68 (95% CI 0.56-0.84), 0.71 (95% CI 0.59-0.86), 0.62 (95% CI 0.51-0.76) and 0.49 (95% CI 0.37-0.65) after adjusting for confounders. Every 1-score increment of HLS was associated with a 13% lower risk of OSA. CONCLUSIONS The results suggest that HLS reflecting the combined effect of multiple-dimensional lifestyle factors was inversely associated with OSA risk. Preventive strategies integrating multiple lifestyle factors may provide a more feasible approach for OSA prevention.

Abstract
PURPOSE To evaluate factors associated with mental health quality of life (QOL), such as depressed mood, anxiety, poor memory and sleep, among midlife women according to the menopausal status. MATERIAL AND METHODS Participants were 500 women aged 40-65 years. Data were collected using socio-demographic questionnaire, Women's Health Questionnaire (domains of depressed mood-DEP, anxiety-ANX, memory-MEM and sleep-SLE) and Short Form-36 (Mental Composite Score) for assessment of health-related QOL. Factors associated with poorer DEP, ANX, MEM and SLE were examined using adjusted linear regression models. RESULTS In premenopausal women, lower household monthly income (p = .046) was associated with higher level of DEP; higher body mass index (p = .045) was associated with higher ANX; having gynecological illnesses (p = .017) and menopause-related symptoms (p = .039) were associated with poorer MEM; being married (p = .036), drinking alcohol (p = .036) and having more physical activity (p = .041) was associated with better SLE. In postmenopausal women, worse DEP was more likely among women residing in city outskirts (p = .009), who are not married (p = .038) and with sedentary occupations (p = .049); lower education level (p = .030) was associated with more ANX; lower education level (p = .045) and having menopause-related symptoms (p = .044) were associated with poorer MEM; not engaging in regular recreation (p = .031) was associated with better SLE. CONCLUSIONS To improve QOL, pre- and postmenopausal women should not only be supported in the management of menopause-specific symptoms. Women should also receive recommendations as to the behavioral and personal changes when approaching the midlife period.
