Abstract
Food safety of aquatic products has attracted considerable attention worldwide. Although a series of conventional bioassays and instrumental methods have been developed for the detection of pathogenic bacteria, heavy metal residues, marine toxins, and biogenic amines during the production and storage of fish, shrimp, crabs et al., the nanotechnology-based analyses still have their advantages and are promising since they are cost-efficient, highly sensitive and selective, easy to conduct, facial design, often require no sophisticated instruments but with excellent detection performance. This review aims to summarize the advances of various biosensing strategies for bacteria, metal ions, and small molecule contaminants in aquatic products during the last five years, The review highlights the development in nanotechnologies applied for biorecognition process, signal transduction and amplification methods in each novel approach, the nuclease-mediated DNA amplification, nanomaterials (noble metal nanoparticle, metal-organic frameworks, carbon dots), lateral flow-based biosensor, surface-enhanced Raman scattering, microfluidic chip, and molecular imprinting technologies were especially emphasized. Moreover, this study provides a view of current accomplishments, challenges, and future development directions of nanotechnology in aquatic product safety evaluation.

Abstract
In this study, a homogeneous fluorescence polarization immunoassay (FPIA) for the detection of hazardous aquatic toxin okadaic acid (OA) contaminating environmental waters was for the first time developed. A conjugate of the analyte with a fluorophore based on a fluorescein derivative (tracer) was synthesized, and its interaction with specific anti-OA monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) was tested. A MAbs-tracer pair demonstrated highly affine immune binding (KD = 0.8 nM). Under optimal conditions, the limit of OA detection in the FPIA was 0.08 ng/mL (0.1 nM), and the working range of detectable concentrations was 0.4-72.5 ng/mL (0.5-90 nM). The developed FPIA was approbated for the determination of OA in real matrices: river water and seawater samples. No matrix effect of water was observed; therefore, no sample preparation was required before analysis. Due to this factor, the entire analytical procedure took less than 10 min. Using a compact portable fluorescence polarization analyzer enables the on-site testing of water samples. The developed analysis is very fast, easy to operate, and sensitive and can be extended to the determination of other aquatic toxins or low-molecular-weight water or food contaminants.

Abstract
Okadaic acid (OA) is a marine biotoxin that accumulates in seafood and can cause diarrheic shellfish poisoning if consumed. Accordingly, many countries have established regulatory limits for the content of OA in shellfish. At present, methods used for the detection of marine toxins are time-consuming and labor-intensive. In order to realize rapid, simple, and accurate detection of OA, we developed a novel microfluidic immunosensor based on magnetic beads modified with a highly specific and sensitive monoclonal antibody (mAb) against OA that is used in conjunction with smartphone imaging to realize the rapid detection of OA in shellfish. The method achieves on-site detection results within 1 h with an IC50 value of 3.30 ng/mL for OA and a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.49 ng/mL. In addition, the analysis of real samples showed that the recoveries for spiked shellfish samples ranged from 84.91% to 95.18%, and the results were confirmed by indirect competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (icELISA), indicating that the method has good accuracy and precision. Furthermore, the results are reported in a specially designed smartphone app. The microfluidic immunosensor has the advantages of simple operation, rapid detection, and high sensitivity, providing a reliable technical solution for detecting OA residues in shellfish.

Abstract
A mAb-based lateral flow immunochromatographic strip for the detection of anthranilic diamides in vegetables and fruits was developed. The strip provided cut-off values of 2.5, 5, 10, and 10 ng g−1 for CHL, CYA, CYC, and TEA, respectively.
