Abstract
Purpose The aim of this study is to provide treatment for patients with urinary incontinence at different periods after radical prostatectomy. Methods The PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, and Web of Science were searched for all literature on the effectiveness on urinary control after radical prostate cancer between the date of database creation and 15 November 2023 and performed a quality assessment. A network meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 and Stata 17.0 software and evaluated using the surface under the cumulative ranking curve. Results The results of the network meta-analysis showed that pelvic floor muscle therapy including biofeedback with professional therapist-guided treatment demonstrated better results at 1 month to 6 months; electrical stimulation, biofeedback, and professional therapist guidance may be more effective at 3 months of treatment; professional therapist-guided recovery may be less effective at 6 months of treatment; and combined therapy demonstrated better results at 1 year of treatment. During the course of treatment, biofeedback with professional therapist-guided treatment may have significant therapeutic effects in the short term after surgery, but, in the long term, the combination of multiple treatments (pelvic floor muscle training+ routine care + biofeedback + professional therapist-guided treatment + electrical nerve stimulation therapy) may address cases of urinary incontinence that remain unrecovered long after surgery. Conclusion In general, all treatment methods improve the different stages of functional recovery of the pelvic floor muscles. However, in the long term, there are no significant differences between the treatments. Given the cost-effectiveness, pelvic floor muscle training + routine care + biofeedback + professional therapist-guided treatment + electrical nerve stimulation therapy within 3 months and pelvic floor muscle + routine care after 3 months may be a more economical option to treat urinary incontinence. Abstract
AIMS To describe and synthesize non-pharmacological and nonsurgical interventions for male urinary incontinence from the existing literature. METHODS A scoping review was conducted following the methodology suggested by Arksey and O'Malley: (1) identification of the research questions; (2) identification of relevant studies using a three-step search recommended by JBI: an initial search within PubMed and CINAHL, a comprehensive literature search within PubMed, CINAHL, EMBASE, PsycINFO, Cochrane Library, and literature search of references lists; (3) study selection; (4) data extraction and charting; (5) collation, summarization, and reporting of the results. The PRISMA-ScR Checklist was used to report. RESULTS A total of 4602 studies were identified, of which 87 studies were included. Approximately 78% were randomized controlled trials. More than 88% of the participants were men with prostate cancer. Exercising pelvic floor muscles 30 times per day for 12 weeks was the most frequently reported. Parameters of electrical stimulation were typically set up to 50 Hz and 300 μs for frequency and width of pulse, respectively, and lasted for 15 min. Pure pelvic floor muscle training, Pilates, Yoga, whole body vibration, diaphragm/abdominal muscle training, micturition interruption exercise, acupuncture, and auriculotherapy showed positive effects on reducing urinary incontinence. CONCLUSION The findings suggested implementing pelvic floor muscle training alone before or after surgery can both prompt the recovery of continence in men after prostate cancer surgery. The decision to use biofeedback or electrical stimulation to enhance the therapeutic effect of pelvic floor muscle training should be approached with caution. More rigorous designed studies are needed to validate the effectiveness of Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques and diverse novel methods. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE Physicians and nurses need to be up to date on the latest evidence-based non-pharmacological and nonsurgical interventions in male urinary incontinence and select appropriate interventions based on available medical resources and patient preferences.

Abstract
Urinary incontinence is a common problem that affects postmenopausal women. This ailment has a negative impact on many aspects of life, significantly limiting everyday functioning related to professional work, physical activity or the intimate sphere. The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of the sonofeedback method in reducing the severity of urinary incontinence in postmenopausal women with a urinary incontinence problem. A total of 60 patients aged 45–65 with stress urinary incontinence, confirmed by a gynecologist, were qualified for the study. All persons qualified for the study were randomly assigned to study group A (n = 20), comparative B (n = 20) and control C (n = 20). Patients from group A were treated with sonofeedback of the pelvic floor muscles. In group B, the combined electrostimulation method was used with biofeedback training. Group C was a control group in which only the measured parameters were measured at the same time interval as those carried out in groups A and B. In all patients, three times: before the therapy, after the fifth procedure and after the end of the therapy, the incidence and severity of stress urinary incontinence were assessed—Gaudenz questionnaire and the intensity of urinary incontinence—a modified 1 h pad test. The obtained results have an application value giving the possibility of using effective therapy with sonofeedback in women in whom the recommended electrostimulation method cannot be used due to health and behavioral reasons.

Abstract
Urinary incontinence is a common and predictable consequence among men with localized prostate cancer who have undergone radical prostatectomy. Despite advances in the surgical technique, urinary continence recovery time remains variable. A range of surgical and patient-related risk factors contributing to urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy have been described, including age, BMI, membranous urethral length and urethral sphincter insufficiency. Physical activity interventions incorporating aerobic exercise, resistance training and pelvic floor muscle training programmes can positively influence the return to continence in men after radical prostatectomy. Traditional approaches to improving urinary continence after radical prostatectomy have typically focused on interventions delivered during the postoperative period (rehabilitation). However, the limited efficacy of these postoperative approaches has led to a shift from the traditional reactive model of care to more comprehensive interventions incorporating exercise-based programmes that begin in the preoperative period (prehabilitation) and continue after surgery. Comprehensive prehabilitation interventions include appropriately prescribed aerobic exercise, resistance training and specific pelvic floor muscle instruction and exercise training programmes. Transperineal ultrasonography is a non-invasive and validated method for the visualization of the action of the pelvic floor musculature, providing real-time visual biofeedback to the patient during specific pelvic floor muscle instruction and training. Importantly, the waiting time before surgery can be used for the delivery of comprehensive prehabilitation exercise-based interventions to increase patient preparedness in the lead-up to surgery and optimize continence and health-related quality-of-life outcomes following radical prostatectomy.

Abstract
AIMS Postprostatectomy incontinence is a major complication of prostatectomy. Although pelvic floor muscle training can successfully treat postprostatectomy incontinence, evidence for how muscle movement affects continence recovery is lacking. We evaluated dynamic factors of prostatectomy patients using cine magnetic resonance imaging to identify risk factors for postprostatectomy incontinence and reveal the contribution of pelvic floor muscles to continence recovery. METHODS A total of 128 prostate cancer patients who underwent robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery were enrolled. Cine magnetic resonance imaging was performed preoperatively and 6 months after surgery. Continence was defined as pad-free or use of safety pads. We defined the bladder neck elevation distance during pelvic floor muscle training as the bladder elevation distance. Patients with continence recovery within 1 month comprised the continence group (n = 48); other patients comprised the incontinence group (n = 80). RESULTS The preoperative bladder elevation distance was significantly longer in the continence group than in the incontinence group (10.4 vs. 8.2 mm; p < .001). The postoperative bladder elevation distance of the continence group tended to be longer (9.9 vs. 8.9 mm; p = .057). Multivariate analysis showed that the preoperative bladder elevation distance significantly contributed to continence recovery (p = .016). Patients with a longer preoperative bladder elevation distance (>8.5 mm) experienced continence recovery significantly faster than patients with a shorter distance (<8.5mm) (p = .038). CONCLUSIONS Bladder elevation distance, a novel dynamic parameter, was strongly associated with early continence recovery. Cine magnetic resonance imaging can assess a patient's risk of postprostatectomy incontinence and guide pelvic floor muscle training.

Abstract
BACKGROUND National surveys in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom suggest ultrasound imaging (USI) use by physiotherapists is increasing. However, concerns exist regarding clarity for scopes of practice, and availability and standardisation of training. OBJECTIVES To investigate physiotherapists' understanding of scopes of practice for the use of USI; clarify the professional contexts, clinical uses and levels of training; and identify barriers preventing physiotherapists' USI use. DESIGN A cross-sectional, observational survey. METHODS An Internet-based survey, offered in 20 different languages, was used including items covering five domains: (1) demographic and professional characteristics; (2) knowledge of scope of practice; (3) USI use; (4) USI training content and duration; and (5) perceived barriers to physiotherapists' use of USI. RESULTS 1307 registered physiotherapists from 49 countries responded; 30% were unsure of the scope of practice for physiotherapists' USI use. 38% of participants were users of USI, reporting varied contexts and clinical uses, reflected in the broader categories of: (i) biofeedback; (ii) diagnosis; (iii) assessment; (iv) injection guidance; (v) research; (vi) and teaching. The training users received varied, with formal training more comprehensive. 62% were non-users, the most common barrier was lack of training (76%). CONCLUSION These findings suggest physiotherapists' USI use is increasing in various contexts; however, there is uncertainty regarding scopes of practice. There are discrepancies in training offered, with a lack of training the most common barrier to physiotherapists' use of USI. International guidelines, including a USI training framework, are needed to support the consistent and sustainable use of USI in physiotherapy.

Abstract
Objective This research is aimed at studying the effect of the WeChat app combined with pelvic floor muscle exercise (PFME) on urinary incontinence (UI) for patients treated with radical prostatectomy (RP). Patients and Methods. We retrospectively reviewed 112 patients who not only had done open RP or laparoscopic RP in our institution but also had sufficient data: preoperative information and more than one year of follow-up records. All the patients received instructions in correct pelvic floor muscle contraction and were encouraged to train the pelvic floor muscle. 58 patients, who were offered additional training guide by the WeChat app after hospital, were divided into group A, while the other 54 patients, who did PFME alone after hospital, were divided into group B. All the patients underwent a 24 h pad test at 3 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months after catheter removal. The differences in preoperative information and the results of the 24 h pad test in the follow-up, from the two groups of patients, were compared statistically. And we defined “urinary continence” as 0 g at a 24 h pad test. Results No statistically significant difference in background variable in patients of group A and group B was found. On a 24 h pad test (g), group A had better results compared to group B: 254 ± 76 vs 293 ± 86 (1 month, p < 0.05), 76 ± 47 vs 98 ± 58 (3 months, p < 0.05), 76 ± 47 vs 98 ± 58 (3 months, p < 0.05), 76 ± 47 vs 98 ± 58 (3 months, p < 0.05), 76 ± 47 vs 98 ± 58 (3 months, p < 0.05), 76 ± 47 vs 98 ± 58 (3 months, p < 0.05), 76 ± 47 vs 98 ± 58 (3 months, Conclusion Compared to doing PFME alone, the WeChat app combined with pelvic floor muscle training can decrease urine leakage and increase the number of urinary continence after radical prostatectomy.
