Abstract
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to translate the English version of the Foot Posture Index (FPI-6) into Turkish and to examine its psychometric properties. METHODS After the forward-backward translation process, the internal consistency and intra - and inter-rater reliability were evaluated by using Cronbach's α and Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC2,k) (two-way random effects model with absolute agreement type), respectively. The agreement between reliability assessments was investigated by the standard error of measurement (SEM) and the minimal detectable change (MDC95%). Criterion validity was assessed in relationship between the Turkish FPI-6 and Foot Function Index (FFI) and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS). RESULTS The study was completed with 45 patients with foot/ankle problems. The internal consistency (Cronbach's α = 0.85; 0.78, respectively), intra-reliability (ICC2,k = 0.96; 0.94, respectively), and inter-reliability (ICC2,k = 0.93; both of them) of the Turkish version of the FPI-6 were excellent for the dominant and non-dominant lower limb. The SEM was low, and the agreement was considered to have high absolute reliability, as demonstrated by the smallest change in measurement error. The Turkish FPI-6 also had moderate correlations with the FFI and AOFAS (p < .05). CONCLUSIONS It has been proven that the Turkish FPI-6 is valid and reliable and can be used by Turkish-speaking researchers and clinicians in patients with various foot-ankle problems.

Abstract
PURPOSE The 6-item Foot Posture Index (FPI-6) is a reliable tool for the evaluation of foot deformities. Our aim was to translate and cross-culturally validate the FPI-6 for use in French-speaking countries and to determine the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability of the French version. METHODS Cross-cultural adaptation was performed according to guidelines. Two clinicians assessed the FPI-6 in 52 asymptomatic individuals. We evaluated intra- and inter-rater reliability with the intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC), correlations (p-value < 0.05) and Bland-Altman plots. Standard error of measurement (SEM) and minimum detectable change (MDC95) were determined. RESULTS For the cross-cultural adaptation, we modified several items of the FPI-6 user guide and added footnotes to ensure correct interpretation. ICC of the total FPI-6 scores were 0.94 to 0.96 for the intra- and inter-rater reliability for dominant and non-dominant lower limb. Correlations were significant (p < 0.001); r 0.88 to 0.92. Total score SEM was 0.68 to 0.78 and MDC95 was 1.58 to 1.82. CONCLUSIONS Intra- and inter-rater reliability of this French version of the FPI-6 was excellent for the total score and good to excellent for each item. The French FPI-6 can be used in French-speaking countries. The identification of SEM and MDC scores is useful for clinical interpretation.

Abstract
Since foot posture is one of the main predictors of lower limb musculoskeletal injuries, it is crucial to use appropriate tools to define the foot's posture. The Foot Posture Index is, therefore, a reliable method to measure foot posture and is widely known and used in clinics and research. This study aimed to translate the Foot Posture Index 6 (FPI6) into Italian and to assess its psychometric properties. Translation and cross-cultural adaptation were obtained using a popular guideline. Two examinators assessed 68 subjects, and data were collected to test intra/inter-rater reliability, internal consistency and cross-cultural validity. The Italian version of FPI6 showed excellent inter- and intra-rater reliability (ICC 0.96 and 0.97), and Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.9, thus showing excellent internal consistency. The FPI-6 version has proved to be reliable in terms of inter- and intra-rater reliability and can, therefore, be used in clinical practice and scientific research.

Abstract
Objective: To determine the reliability of FPI-6 in the assessment of foot posture in patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Methods: Thirty volunteers with KOA (23 females, 7 males) were included in this study, assessed by two raters and at three different moments. Inter-rater and test-retest reliability were assessed with Cohen's Weighted Kappa (Kw) and Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Bland-Altman plots and respective 95% limits of agreement (LOA) were used to assess both inter-rater and test-retest agreement and identify systematic bias. Moreover, the internal consistency of FPI-6 was assessed by Spearman's correlation coefficient. Results: FPI-6 total score showed a substantial inter-rater (Kw = .66) and test-retest reliability (Kw = .72). The six items of FPI-6 demonstrated inter-rater and test-retest reliability varying from fair to substantial (Kw = .33 to .76 and Kw = .40 to .78, respectively). Bland-Altman plots and respective 95% LOA indicated that there appeared no systematic bias and the acceptable agreement of FPI-6 total score for inter-rater and test-retest was excellent. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between each item and the total score of FPI-6, which indicated that FPI-6 had good internal consistency. Conclusion: In conclusion, the reliability of FPI-6 total score and the six items of FPI-6 were fair to substantial. The results can provide a reliable way for clinicians and researchers to implement the assessment of foot posture in patients with KOA.

Abstract
Previous studies have demonstrated that Foot Posture Index (FPI-6) is a valid and moderately reliable tool to evaluate foot posture. However, data about reliability and validity of FPI-6 in the assessment of foot posture in people with low back pain (LBP) is lacking. To investigate reliability and validity of FPI-6 in the assessment of foot posture in people with LBP. Thirty volunteers with LBP, aged 20-64 years, were recruited for the research and assessed by two raters. The data measured by different raters on the same day were used to calculate the inter-rater reliability. The data measured by the same rater on different dates were used to calculate the test-retest reliability. The reliability of FPI-6 was tested with intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), and absolute reliability with standard error of measurement (SEM), minimal detectable change (MDC) and Bland-Altman analysis. The validity of FPI-6 was tested with Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Spearman's correlation coefficients. The FPI-6 indicated excellent inter-rater and test-retest reliability in the evaluation of foot posture in people with LBP (ICC = 0.97 and 0.95). The agreement for inter-rater and test-retest was excellent based on the SEM (SEM = 0.12) and MDC value (MDC = 0.33). Bland-Altman plots showed that there was no significant systematic bias for the agreement on the ground of low mean difference (< 1). The EFA suggested that the fit indices were considered acceptable according to the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) value (KMO = 0.620) and Bartlett's sphericity test (P < 0.01). There was a statistically significant positive correlation between each item and total score of FPI-6 because the Spearman's correlation coefficient of six items were all > 0.3 (P < 0.01). The inter-rater and test-retest reliability and validity of FPI-6 on people with LBP were proved reliable. It might be considered a reliable and valid adjunctive tool to detect possible changes of foot posture after interventions in patients with LBP.

Abstract
RATIONALE The concept of birth satisfaction embraces many factors, which include for example perceived quality of care provision, stress experienced, and personal coping strategies. A woman's birth experience has the power to affect her mental health, decisions surrounding future birth planning, and quality of relationships with her partner and family. The UK-Birth-Satisfaction-Scale-Revised (UK-BSS-R) is currently recommended as the tool of choice by the International Consortium for Health Outcome Measures (ICHOM) for measuring women's experiences of childbirth. It was therefore considered important to translate and validate this scale for use in a Brazilian context. OBJECTIVE To translate and culturally adapt the UK-BSS-R into Brazilian (Portuguese) and validate its key measurement properties. METHODS A repeated-measures survey was conducted for the purpose of examining factor structure, validity and reliability of the Brazilian (Portuguese)-BSS-R. PARTICIPANTS Data was gathered from (n = 101) Brazilian Portuguese-speaking postnatal women. RESULTS The initial measurement characteristics of the Brazilian (Portuguese)-BSS-R in terms of Intraclass Correlational Coefficient, Standard Error of Measurement and minimal detectable change were found to be excellent. CONCLUSION The Brazilian (Portuguese)-BSS-R is now considered to be a valid and reliable multidimensional psychometric instrument for measuring birth satisfaction in a Brazilian Portuguese population of postnatal women. This translation was found to be conceptually consistent with the original English-language version (UK-BSS-R) and to have an excellent initial measurement characteristics profile. The direction of future research is indicated, specifically to undertake a thorough psychometric evaluation of the Brazilian (Portuguese)-BSS-R in a larger sample.

Abstract
Background Interlimb asymmetries are considered to be closely related to knee osteoarthritis (KOA), but foot posture asymmetries in patients with KOA are scarcely reported. Objectives We aimed to explore the asymmetrical difference in foot posture between the healthy adults and KOA patients and the relationship between foot posture asymmetry and static stability. Methods 21 subjects suffering from KOA in the patient group (PG) and 21 healthy adults in the control group (CG) were included in this study. Foot postures on both feet were evaluated by using the foot posture index (FPI); subsequently, asymmetrical FPI scores between two feet were calculated for the two groups. Meanwhile, all the participants were tested with a standing on Dynamic and Static Balancing Instrument (Pro-kin 254P, TecnoBody Company, Italy) for bilateral stability assessment, and center of pressure (COP) parameters including sway length (SL, mm) and sway area (SA, mm2) were recorded. Results Compared to CG, a larger percentage of supinated feet was examined in relatively severe legs (5, 23.81%), relatively moderate legs (4, 19.05%), and merged results (9, 21.43%) of PG (P < 0.05), and the percentage of severe asymmetry (38.1%) was higher in the PG (P < 0.05). Moreover, these relationships between the absolute value of asymmetry score and SL or SA were significant in CG and PG, the P values below 0.01. Conclusions Foot posture asymmetry is significantly associated with static stability both in KOA patients and healthy adults, and more severe asymmetry in foot posture was observed in KOA patients, so it is critical to evaluate foot posture asymmetry for treatment and rehabilitation for patients with KOA.
