Abstract
The development of flame-retardant materials has become an important research direction. For the past dozen years, researchers have been exploring flame retardants with high flame-retardant efficiency, low toxicity, less smoke, or other excellent performance flame retardants. Therefore, this work aimed to synthesize new cyclodiphosph(V)azane derivatives and their Cu(II) and Cd(II) metal complexes and investigated their potential applications as high flame-retardant efficiency. Various techniques were used to characterize the prepared ligand H2L and its metal complexes, including elemental analyses, mass spectra, conductivity measurements, electronic spectral data UV-vis, FT-IR, 1H,13C-NMR, TGA, XRD, and molecular docking experiments studies were M. tuberculosis receptors (PDB ID: 5UHF) and the crystal structure of human topoisomerase II alpha (PDB ID: 4FM9). Wood-based paint was physically mixed with the ligand H2L and its metal complexes. The obtained results of mechanical characteristics of the dried paint layers were noticed to improve, such as gloss value, which ranged from 85 to 95, hardness 1.5-2.5 kg, adhesion 4B to 5B, and impact resistance, which improved from 1.3 to 2.5 J. Moreover, the obtained results of flame-retardant properties showed a significant retardant impact compared to the blank sample, such as ignitability, which includes the heat flux which increased from 10 to 25 kW/m2, and ignition time, ranging from 550 to 1200 s, respectively, and limiting oxygen index (LOI) (%) which has been increased from 21 to 130 compared with the plywood sample and sample blank. The ordering activity of the observed results was noticed that coated sample based on Cd(II) metal complexes > coated sample based on Cu(II) metal complexes of Cyclophosphazene ligand > coated sample based on phosphazene ligand H2L > coated sample without additives > uncoated sample. This efficiency may be attributed to (1) the H2L is an organophosphorus compound, which contains P, N, Cl, and aromatic six- and five-member ring, (2) Cu(II) and Cd(II) metal complexes characterized by high thermal stability, good stability, excellent performance flame retardants, and wide application.

Abstract
Novel 1,3-bis(N(1)-4-amino-6-methoxypyrimidine-benzenesulfonamide-2,2,4,4-ethane-1,2-dithiol)-2,4-dichlorocyclodiphosph(V)azane (L), was prepared and their coordinating behavior towards the lanthanide ion Er(III) was studied. The structures of the isolated products are proposed based on elemental analyses, IR, UV-VIS., (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR, (31)P NMR, SEM, XRD, mass spectra, effective magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Computational studies have been carried out at the DFT-B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory on the structural and spectroscopic properties of L and its binuclear Er(III) complex. Different tautomers of the ligand were optimized at the ab initio DFT level. Keto-form structure is about 17.7 kcal/mol more stable than the enol form (taking zpe correction into account). Simulated IR frequencies were scaled and compared with that experimentally measured. TD-DFT method was used to compute the UV-VIS spectra which compared by the measured electronic spectra.

Abstract
Metal complexes of the general formula [M(VER)(2)Cl(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·yH(2)O and [Cr(VER)(2)Cl(2)(H(2)O)(2)]Cl·H(2)O (where VER=verlipride, M=Mn(II) (y=2), Co(II) (y=2), Ni(II) (y=2), Cu(II) (y=1) and Zn(II) (y=0)) are prepared and characterized based on elemental analyses, IR, (1)H NMR, magnetic moment, molar conductance, and thermal analyses (TG and DTA) techniques. From the elemental analyses data, the complexes are formed in 1:2 [Metal]:[VER] ratio. The molar conductance data reveal that all the metal chelates are non-electrolytes except Cr(III) complex, it is 1:1 electrolyte. IR spectra show that VER is coordinated to the metal ions in a neutral monodentate manner with O donor site of the carbonyl O atom. On the basis of spectral studies and magnetic moment measurements an octahedral geometry has been assigned for the complexes. The thermal behavior of these chelates is studied using thermogravimetric analysis technique. The results obtained show that the complexes lose hydrated water, HCl and coordinated water molecules followed immediately by decomposition of the ligand molecules in the successive unseparate steps. The VER drug, in comparison to its metal complexes is also screened for its biological activity against Gram positive bacterial (Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli) and fungi (Candida albicans and Aspergillus flavus) in vitro. The activity data show that most of the metal complexes have antibacterial activity like or higher than that of the parent VER drug against one or more species.

Abstract
The ligatation behaviour of sulphonylurea glibenclamide drug is studied in order to give an idea about its potentiality towards some transition metals in vitro systems. Metal complexes of glibenclamide (GCA; H(3)L) drug are prepared and characterized based on elemental analyses, IR, diffused reflectance, magnetic moment, molar conductance and thermal analysis (TG and DTG) techniques. From the elemental analyses data, the complexes are proposed to have the general formulae [M(H(3)L)Cl(n)(H(2)O)(m)].yH(2)O (where M=Cr(III) (n=3, m=1, y=3); Mn(II) (n=2, m=0, y=1); Fe(III) (n=3, m=1, y=0), Co(II) (n=2, m=2, y=0); Ni(II) (n=2, m=2, y=3); Cu(II) (n=2, m=2, y=2) and Zn(II) (n=2, m=0, y=0). The molar conductance data reveal that all the metal chelates are non-electrolytes. IR spectra show that GCA is coordinated to the metal ions in a neutral bidentate manner with OO donor sites of the amide-O and sulphone-O. From the magnetic and solid reflectance spectra, it is found that the geometrical structures of these complexes are octahedral except Mn(II) and Zn(II) complexes which have tetrahedral structure. The thermal behaviour of these chelates is studied using thermogravimetric analysis (TG and DTG) technique. The activation thermodynamic parameters are calculated using Coats-Redfern method. The GCA drug, in comparison to its metal complexes also is screened for its biological activity against house fly, Musca domestica (Diptera-Muscidae). Dose of 5 microg/insect of GCA is topically applied against 3 days old larval instar of M. domestica. Survival of pupal and adult stages has been affected by the complexes of GCA more than larval instars. Morphogenic abnormalities of larvae, pupae and adults are studied. On the other hand pupation and adult emergence program is deteriorated by the effect of different chemicals.

Abstract
Hexachlorocyclophosph(V)azane of sulfadiazine, (sulfupyrimidine) [N(1)-2-pyrimidinylsulfanilamide] (H2L1), was prepared and reacted with sulfur and glycine to give (H2L2) and (H2L3) ligands, respectively. The prepared ligands; H2L1, H2L2 and H2L3, react in 1:2 [ligands]:[metal ions] molar ratio with transition metals to give coloured complexes in a relatively good yields. The complexes were characterized using different physicochemical techniques, namely elemental analyses, IR, UV-vis, mass, 1H NMR, molar conductance, magnetic, solid reflectance and thermal analysis. The spectral data reveal that all the ligands behave as neutral bidentate ligands and coordinated to the metal ions via pyrimidine-N and enolic sulfonamide OH. The molar conductance data reveal that the complexes are non-electrolytes while UV-vis, solid reflectance and magnetic moment data have been shown that the complexes have octahedral geometry. The thermal behaviour of the complexes is studied and the thermodynamic activation parameters are calculated. The ligands and their complexes show high to moderate bactericidal activity.
