Abstract
The title compound, [4'-(4-bromophenyl)-2,2':6',2''-terpyridine]chlorido(trifluoromethanesulfonato)copper(II), [Cu(CF(3)O(3)S)Cl(C(21)H(14)BrN(3))], is a new copper complex containing a polypyridyl-based ligand. The Cu(II) centre is five-coordinated in a square-pyramidal manner by one substituted 2,2':6',2''-terpyridine ligand, one chloride ligand and a coordinated trifluoromethanesulfonate anion. The Cu-N bond lengths differ by 0.1 Å for the peripheral and central pyridine rings [2.032 (2) (mean) and 1.9345 (15) Å, respectively]. The presence of the trifluoromethanesulfonate anion coordinated to the metal centre allows Br···F halogen-halogen interactions, giving rise to the formation of a dimer about an inversion centre. This work also demonstrates that the rigidity of the ligand allows the formation of other types of nonclassical interactions (C-H···Cl and C-H···O), yielding a three-dimensional network.

Abstract
In the title compound, [Cu(C13H20N2O2)2](ClO4)2, the CuII atom in the complex dication is chelated by two phenolate O atoms and two imine N atoms from two zwitterionic 2-[2-(isopropylammonio)ethyliminomethyl]-5-methoxyphenolate ligands, forming a distorted square-planar geometry. One of the perchlorate anions is disordered over two sites with occupancies of 0.611 (15) and 0.389 (15). Intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed in the complex dication. In the crystal structure, the perchlorate anions are linked to complex dications by intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract
In the title complex, [Cu(C17H19N2O2)(NCS)], the CuII atom is chelated by the phenolate O atom, the imine N atom and the amine N atom of the N,N′,O-tridentate 2-ethoxy-6-[(2-anilinoethyl)iminomethyl]phenolate ligand, and by the N atom of a thiocyanate anion, forming a distorted CuON3 square-planar geometry. The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings of the ligand is 67.9 (4)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur, generating R22(8) loops.
