Abstract
In this work, new thiosemicarbazides (ECA-1, ECA-2) and their Cu (II) complexes (ECA-1-Cu, ECA-2-Cu) were synthesized and their structures were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, FT-IR, LC-MS, UV-Vis, and thermogravimetric analysis methods. Also, the surface morphology of the all compounds were examined by SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). In the second stage, in vitro antioxidant capacity of the obtained compounds was investigated. The evaluation of the antioxidant properties of both synthesized ligands and complexes in this study was carried out by DPPH and FRAP methods. According to the results, both complexes exhibited more antioxidant capacity than the corresponding ligands. When antioxidant effects are compared for DPPH (SC50 = 5.27 ± 0.05 μM) and for FRAP (7845.69 ± 16.75 mmolTE/g), compound ECA-2-Cu appears to have the best inhibition effect. The complexes were found non-electrolytic in nature with melting point of above 250 °C, and electronic spectra and magnetic behavior demonstrated that the complexes were found to be tetrahedral geometry. Further, in silico the ADMET properties which studies are a significant role in improving and predicting drug compounds were calculated using web-based platforms. The theoretical calculations were made using the method of Density Functional Theory (Frontier molecular orbital analyze and Nonlinear optical properties). Also, molecular docking studies were performed to evaluate the binding interactions between the ligand and complex compounds and Human Peroxiredoxin 2. Both in vitro and in silico results indicated that synthesized compounds could act as potent antioxidant agents.

Abstract
2-(3-Ethylthioureido)benzoic acid was prepared and characterized by electronic spectrum, elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum and mass spectrum. The produced ligand was applied for the preconcentrative of Fe3+, Co2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ in aqueous samples by cloud point extraction methodology. Triton X-114 was used as extractant. Experimental parameters that may affect the extraction process were examined and optimized; such as pH, ligand and triton concentrations, type of diluting solvent, extraction temperature and ionic strength. The calibration curves were linear upto 500μgL-1 for Fe3+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ and upto 200μgL-1 for Co2+. The achieved detection limits were 1.5, 0.23, 0.71 and 0.35μgL-1 for Fe3+, Co2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ respectively. The accuracy was established by analysis of certified reference materials (Seronorm whole blood L2 and ZCS ZC85006 Tomato). The proposed procedure was used for preconcentration of these metal ions in water, biological and food samples prior to their determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.

Abstract
New metal complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Pd(II) and Hg(II) with 2,3-butanedione isonicotinylhydrazone [BINH] have been prepared and investigated. Single crystal for BINH is grown and solved as orthorhombic with P 21 21 2 space group. The formula of the ligand was assigned based on the elemental analysis, mass spectra and conductivity measurements. The complexes assigned the formulae [M(BINH-H)Cl]⋅nH2O (MCo(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II); n=0 or 1); [Hg(BINH-H)(H2O)2Cl]; [Cd(BINH)Cl2]⋅2H2O and [Pd(BINH)Cl2]⋅H2O. All complexes are nonelectrolytes. BINH acts as a tridentate ligand in [M(BINH-H)Cl]⋅nH2O and [Hg(BINH-H)(H2O)2Cl] coordinating through COketonic, COamedic and CNhy and as a neutral bidentate through COketonic and CNhy in [Cd(BINH)Cl2]⋅2H2O and [Pd(BINH)Cl2]⋅H2O; the pyridine nitrogen has no rule in coordination. The data are supported by NMR ((1)H and (13)C) spectra. The magnetic moments and electronic spectra provide a tetrahedral structure for the Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes; square-planar for the Pd(II) complex and octahedral for the Hg(II) complex. The TGA of the complexes depicted the outer and inner water molecules as well as the final residue. The cobalt and cadmium complexes ended with the metal while the Cu(II), Zn(II) and Pd(II) complexes ended with complex species. [Hg(BINH-H)(H2O)2Cl] has no residue. The ligand is inactive against all tested organisms except for Bacillus thuringiensis. The Hg(II) complex is found more active than the other complexes. The flotation technique is found applicable for the separation of micro amount (10ppm) of Zr(4+) using 10ppm of BINH and 1×10(-5)molL(-1) of oleic acid at pH 6 with efficiency of 98% with no interferences.

Abstract
Metal complexes of Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Pd2+ or Pt2+ with 2,5-hexanedione bis(thiosemicarbazone), HBTS; have been prepared and spectroscopically investigated. The empirical formulae of the complexes were suggested based on the elemental analysis. Single crystal of Pd(II) has been solved to be cis-form of square-planar geometry by the X-ray crystallography. 1H and 13C NMR spectra have been recorded for HBTS, Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes, in DMSO-d6, showing the mode of chelation. The ligand acts as a neutral or a binegative tetradentate (N2S2) or neutral bidentate on the basis of FT-IR. The magnetic moments and electronic spectra provide information about the geometry of the complexes which supported by calculating the ligand field parameters for the Co(II) and Fe(III) complexes. The Ni(II) complex has subnormal magnetic moment (0.71 BM) indicative of a mixed stereochemistry of square-planar and tetrahedral structure. [Cu(HBTS-2H)] measured 0.93 BM indicating high interaction between the copper centers. The ligand may be ordered at the top of the spectrochemical series which giving high ligand field splitting energy (10 Dq=17,900 cm(-1) for Co2+ complex). The mass spectra of some complexes proved their stable chemical formulae while the TGA depicts the degradation steps and the final residue. In evaporating the mother liquor during the preparation of HBTS, new compound is obtained naming 1-(2,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrol-yl)thiourea and its crystal was solved.

Abstract
Mono- and bi-nuclear acyclic and macrocyclic complexes with hard-soft Schiff base, H(2)L, ligand derived from the reaction of 4,6-diacetylresorcinol and thiocabohydrazide, in the molar ratio 1:2 have been prepared. The H(2)L ligand reacts with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Mn(II) and UO(2)(VI) nitrates, VO(IV) sulfate and Ru(III) chloride to get acyclic binuclear complexes except for VO(IV) and Ru(III) which gave acyclic mono-nuclear complexes. Reaction of the acyclic mono-nuclear VO(IV) and Ru(III) complexes with 4,6-diacetylresorcinol afforded the corresponding macrocyclic mono-nuclear VO(IV) and Ru(IIII) complexes. Template reactions of the 4,6-diacetylresorcinol and thiocarbohydrazide with either VO(IV) or Ru(III) salts afforded the macrocyclic binuclear VO(IV) and Ru(III) complexes. The Schiff base, H(2)L, ligand acts as dibasic with two NSO-tridentate sites and can coordinate with two metal ions to form binuclear complexes after the deprotonation of the hydrogen atoms of the phenolic groups in all the complexes, except in the case of the acyclic mononuclear Ru(III) and VO(IV) complexes, where the Schiff base behaves as neutral tetradentate chelate with N(2)S(2) donor atoms. The ligands and the metal complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-vis (1)H-NMR, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) and ESR, as well as the measurements of conductivity and magnetic moments at room temperature. Electronic spectra and magnetic moments of the complexes indicate the geometries of the metal centers are either tetrahedral, square planar or octahedral. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were calculated using Coats-Redfern equation, for the different thermal decomposition steps of the complexes. The ligands and the metal complexes were screened for their antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus as Gram-positive bacteria, and Pseudomonas fluorescens as Gram-negative bacteria in addition to Fusarium oxysporum fungus. Most of the complexes exhibit mild antibacterial and antifungal activities against these organisms.
