Abstract
INTRODUCTION Lymphoma hygroma (LH) that is the most common type of lymphangioma, but it rarely occurs in the forearm. It may show localized invasive behavior, but is benign. CASE PRESENTATION A 42-year-old woman presented to our hospital with a growing strip-like mass in the right forearm that had been detected 3 years earlier. Ultrasound examination showed a subcutaneous strip of low back vocal cords on the right forearm. Further magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed irregular strip-like dilated lymphatic vessels characteristic of LH with low T1 signal intensity and high T2 signal intensity. After radical surgical resection, hematoxylin-eosin (H & E) and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining of cystic LH endothelial cells labeled with monoclonal antibody D2-40 showed a dilated lymphangioma with no evidence of malignancy. After 7 months of follow-up, no tumor recurrence was seen and the effect was satisfactory. CLINICAL DISCUSSION A combination of previous trauma history, signs and symptoms, and imaging evaluation are necessary to provide clues to LH, but the final diagnosis is likely to be made by pathologic evaluation of the resected specimen. Although there are many treatment modalities, all also have different outcomes. The absence of complete resection resulting in a tumor remnant is the foremost cause of LH recurrence, so we believe that the preferred approach against LH remains complete surgical resection. CONCLUSIONS LH is benign and generally asymptomatic lesions with mild bio-behavior. As there are occasional confusing presentations, similar cystic lesions should still be considered with caution for the disease. Although MRI provides superior advantages for its diagnosis, the confirmation of diagnosis still requires histological examination. Radical lesion resection is a very safe and effective option for the treatment of LH.

Abstract
Introduction Cystic lymphangioma is a benign malformation tumor of the lymphatic system. Its location is variable, and mesocolic localization remains extremely rare. Case presentation We report a case of right mesocolon giant cystic lymphangioma in a previously healthy 14-year-old boy who was successfully managed through a minimally invasive laparoscopic excision. The patient presented with 8 months of dull abdominal pain, sporadic, located on the peri-umbilicus, exacerbated for a month. An abdominal computed tomography (CT) revealed a large, multiseptated cystic mass on the right mesocolon. Right mesocolic excision using a laparoscope was performed on this patient. He was discharged on the fifth day without complications. Recurrence was not detected in three months of follow-up. Conclusion Cystic lymphangiomas in the mesocolon are rare benign neoplasms that pose diagnostic challenges. Complete resection is the optimal option for diagnostic confirmation and recurrence prevention. Laparoscopic surgery is feasible for children with mesocolic lymphangioma.

Abstract
Mesenteric cysts are defined as a heterogeneous group of intra-abdominal cystic lesions of the mesentery or omentum that may be found in any portion of the gastrointestinal tract from the duodenum to the rectum. The clinical condition is entirely asymptomatic in many patients, particularly with small cysts. The diagnosis is typically incidental and secondary to imaging performed for other purposes. In symptomatic patients, the clinical picture is characterized by nonspecific gastrointestinal signs and symptoms. Treatment may be surgical or via interventional radiology. We report the case of a 55-year-old female patient complaining of left-sided abdominal discomfort and constipation lasting three months. An abdominal ultrasound showed the presence of a 10 × 14 × 16 cm anechoic cystic mass filling the whole anterior and left abdominal cavity, confirmed by CT and MRI. The cyst, removed laparoscopically, was histologically a simple mesothelial cyst. We reviewed the international literature over the last 10 years of all cases with mesenteric cysts > 10 cm in evaluating gastrointestinal symptoms at diagnosis, histology, performed treatment, and outcome.

Abstract
Mesenteric lymphangiomas are relatively rare, with clinical symptoms ranging from an asymptomatic presentation to an acute abdomen. The natural history and biological behaviour of this entity can range from slow indolent lesions to aggressive tumours with a risk of malignant transformation. Spontaneous regression of a mesenteric lymphangioma is rare. We herein report a case of a jejunal mesenteric lymphangioma that was initially detected incidentally in an asymptomatic patient with a subsequent sudden increase in size with resulting surrounding mass effect after 9 months and a spontaneous partial regression at surgical resection. Our case is the first reported case which outlines a period in the natural history and evolution of microcystic mesenteric lymphangioma, illustrating the sudden enlargement likely attributable to spontaneous and self-limiting haemorrhage and subsequent partial regression at surgical resection. We thenceforth propose a possible management algorithm for adult patients with mesenteric lymphangiomas.

Abstract

Abstract
Cystic lymphangiomas of the mesocolon are very rare in adults. They are usually asymptomatic, but can present with an acute abdomen. We report an adult patient with cystic lymphangioma of the mesocolon that manifested with peritonitis. A 33-year-old man presented with fever and severe pain with muscle guarding in the left abdomen. Laboratory data indicated high-grade inflammation. Enhanced computed tomography (CT) showed multiple low-density masses with peripherally enhancing rims, strongly suspicious for cysts, in the left abdomen. Based on a diagnosis of peritonitis, emergency surgery was performed and revealed many cysts in the descending mesocolon. Histopathological examination findings indicated a cystic lymphangioma. The post-operative course was uneventful, and 1-year follow-up CT showed no recurrence. This case demonstrates that cystic lymphangiomas of the mesocolon in adults can present with acute peritonitis, although this is extremely rare. Complete resection is required for accurate diagnosis and for preventing recurrence.

Abstract
Cystic lymphangioma mainly occurs in children. Cystic mediastinal lymphangioma (CML) originates from mediastinal tissues and is an extremely uncommon cystic lymphangioma that develops from the lymphatic vessels. The present study reports the case of 46-year-old male patient with a giant CML that was surgically resected by video-assisted thoracoscopy. The largest diameter of the CML was 18.0 cm, and ~400 ml of pale yellow fluid was removed from the cystic cavity during surgery. The postoperative pathological reports on the cystic wall showed that the neoplasm was a CML. At present, at the one-year postoperative follow-up, there are no signs of recurrence. In conclusion, complete surgical resection may prevent recurrence.
