Abstract
The think-aloud method is an established technique for studying human thought (cognitive) processes. Problem-solving and decision-making are essential skills for medical professionals, and the cognitive processes underlying these skills are complex. Studying these thought processes would enable educators, clinicians, and researchers to modify or refine their approaches and interventions. The think-aloud method has been utilized for capturing cognitive processes in a variety of fields, including computer usability, sports and cognitive psychology. Medical education also recognizes thought processes as valuable data for research and education. This article aims to guide researchers and educators through the preparation and implementation of a think-aloud method to record participants' thought processes during an activity.

Abstract
An innovative electronic Maternal and Child Health (eMCH) application was developed to support operational and clinical decision-making in maternal and child health services. End-user-based evaluation of eHealth application is a critical step to ascertain how successfully users can learn and use it, and improve the technology. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the eMCH tool usability, feasibility, and acceptability among healthcare providers (HCPs) in the Amhara region, Ethiopia. A cross-sectional study was conducted among HCPs working in six public healthcare facilities. The usability evaluation was done on 24 HCPs across three professional categories using the ISO 9241-11 usability guideline. One hundred nine HCPs were participated in the feasibility and acceptability study. Data were collected using a standard usability tool, think-aloud protocol, a self-administered approach, and Open Broadcaster Software Studio version 26.1.1 video recorder. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the data. A Kruskal-Wallis test was used to measure the association between mean scores and categories of HCPs. The recorded videos were used for the log file analysis method. None of the HCP categories were able to complete all the tasks without errors. The average number of errors and restarts were 7.5 and 2.8, respectively. The average number of restarts was directly proportional to the average number of errors. The participants successfully completed more than 70% of the tasks without requiring any assistance or guidance. Forty-seven comments or errors were identified from the think-aloud analysis and 22 comments from the usability metrics analysis. Overall, statistically significant performance differences were observed among the three HCP groups across the majority of the usability evaluation metrics. Fifty-seven percent of HCPs scored higher than the mean on the feasibility study. Slightly higher than half, 56 (51.4%), of the HCPs scored higher than the mean score on the acceptability study. The usability evaluation identified vital comments and usability flaws that were essential for the eMCH tool to be upgraded. The tool was feasible and acceptable as reported by end-users. Therefore, the errors and usability flaws of the tool should be fixed before deployment to other healthcare settings.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The COVID-19 pandemic abruptly accelerated the use of digital health for cancer care. Previously, researchers identified a variety of digital health interventions for cancer prevention. The purpose of the present scoping review was to identify digital health interventions for cancer prevention designed for racial/ethnic minority groups. METHODS The scoping review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for scoping reviews and was guided by the Arksey and O'Malley methodological framework. A search of PubMed, Ovid MEDLINE, and CINAHL for peer-reviewed research articles published from database inception to August 21, 2023, was conducted. Peer-reviewed studies published in English that employed digital health interventions for cancer prevention, that were conducted among racial/ethnic minority groups, and that were conducted in the United States were included. Also included were cancer prevention interventions for people who did not have cancer, people who did have cancer, and cancer survivors. Excluded were interventions that included non-Hispanic White individuals, interventions performed outside the United States, interventions that combined face-to-face methods with digital strategies, and interventions that did not clearly include digital health. Articles that focused on technologies for collecting and transmitting health data (e.g., remote patient monitoring) without an explicit tie-in to cancer prevention intervention outcomes were also excluded. RESULTS Following screening, eight articles met the eligibility criteria. Six of the articles were published prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and two were published during it. The digital health interventions for cancer prevention in racial/ethnic minority groups included screening (n = 5), emotional support and education (n = 1), human papillomavirus vaccination (n = 1), and education and treatment (n = 1). A consistently measured outcome was intervention efficacy. Four authors explicitly stated that theories or theoretical constructs were employed to guide intervention development. Also, no interventions were created using novel devices such as emerging technologies. CONCLUSIONS We identified several notable gaps regarding digital health for cancer prevention among racial/ethnic minority groups. Addressing these gaps may help guide continued innovation in the use of digital health for cancer prevention among racial/ethnic minority groups.

Abstract
The scoping review investigated how digital technologies have helped to increase cancer screening uptake in communities including adolescents, adults and elderly people during the COVID-19 outbreak between January 2020 and June 2021. Thirteen studies were identified as being relevant, mostly addressing underserved or minority communities with the purpose to increase screening uptake, delivering health education or investigating social and cultural barriers to cancer screening. The interventions effectively used digital technologies such as mobile apps and messengers mobile apps, messaging and Web platforms. The limitations imposed by COVID-19 on social interaction can be supported with digital solutions to ensure the continuity of cancer screening programs. However, more research is needed to clarify the exact nature of effectiveness, especially in large-scale interventions.

Abstract
Due to the lack of typical symptoms and signs and sensitive indicators for early diagnosis of obstructive colorectal cancer (OCRC), it is critically needed to find new novel biomarkers to ameliorate the management of OCRC patients. In this study, 472 blood samples were collected and measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to investigate the value of serum chemokine ligand 7 (CXCL7) in diagnosis and prognosis for OCRC patients. The median concentrations of CXCL7 in non-OCRC and OCRC were both higher than that in controls (both P < 0.05). Importantly, the median serum concentration of CXCL7 in OCRC was also higher than that in non-OCRC (P < 0.001). In all OCRC patients, the area under the curve (AUC) of CXCL7 was 0.918 with a sensitivity of 86.54% and a specificity of 81.87%. Similarly, the AUC of CXCL7 was 0.684 when the diagnostic test was performed between OCRC and CRC patients. CXCL7 had a higher AUC than other markers. The concentration of CXCL7 in 40 postoperative OCRC patients was higher than normal people and lower than preoperative patients. The median survival time was 62.00 months and the 5-year overall survival (OS) rate of the patients was 51.80% in all 155 OCRC patients. Multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression model analysis showed that high CXCL7 in serum was independent factors associated with poor OS of OCRC patients (HR = 2.216, P = 0.032). These results demonstrate that serum CXCL7 may be a potential biomarker both in diagnosis and prognosis for OCRC patients.

Abstract
Community health advisor (CHA) interventions increase colorectal cancer (CRC) screening rates. African Americans experience CRC disparities in incidence and mortality rates compared to whites in the US. Focus groups and learner verification were used to adapt National Cancer Institute CRC screening educational materials for delivery by a CHA to African American community health center patients. Such academic-community collaboration improves adoption of evidence-based interventions. This short article describes the adaptation of an evidence-based cancer education intervention for implementation in an African American community.
