Primary Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma of the Face Other Than Mycosis Fungoides

Clinico-radiologic findings in primary cutaneous extranodal natural killer/t-cell lymphoma, nasal type mimicking cellulitis of the left arm

Extranodal natural killer (NK)/T-cell lymphoma is a very rare and aggressive disease characterized histopathologically by an Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive atypical lymphoid cytotoxic infiltrate, extensive vascular destruction, and prominent tissue necrosis. It commonly shows cutaneous lesions that primarily or secondarily mimic cellulitis at the primary site. We report on a very rare case of extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type of skin/soft tissue, in a 64-year-old man, and describe the radiological findings. The condition was misdiagnosed as cellulitis of the left arm based on initial noninvasive clinical and radiologic work-up.

Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma: MRI features and literature review

Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL) represents a rare subclassification of peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL). We present a case of a 21-year-old female who presented with a 1-month history of pain in the left buttock and hip, tender left inguinal lymph nodes, fevers, and night sweats. Percutaneous core needle biopsy was diagnostic for SPTCL with CD8+ cells positive for cytotoxic granules. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features of SPTCL with a review of the literature are discussed.

Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma with breast involvement: functional and morphological imaging findings

Panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma is a very uncommon subtype of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas. In this case report, we describe the morphological (CT and MRI) and functional ((18)F-FDG-PET and bone scan) imaging findings in a 35-year-old patient who suffered from slowly progressing multiple subcutaneous lesions caused by this rare disease.

MR imaging manifestations of skin tumors

In this study, we evaluated MR imaging findings of skin tumors and categorized them into four types: (1) discrete mass lesions of the dermis and epidermis, (2) mass lesions of the subcutis with or without abutment to the skin, (3) diffuse or localized skin thickening without a true mass, and (4) a skin mass with bone destruction. The categorization of MR images may be useful in the differential diagnosis of skin tumors.
