Abstract
In his practice, the author has been using noninvasive devices, including Evolve X-radiofrequency-based procedure for tightening of the skin, melting of the subdermal fat deposits and muscle stimulation, all done simultaneously together and truSculpt flex-electrical muscle stimulation. Minimally invasive procedures include BodyTite, FaceTite, and AccuTite, radiofrequency-based procedures for permanent fat destruction and tightening of the skin. Morpheus8 and Morpheus8 Body are radiofrequency based-procedures for tightening of the skin. VASERlipo is an ultrasound-based procedure for liposuction and muscle definition. Vibrational type of liposuction has been used for the purpose of liposuction and muscle definition in combination with VASERlipo.

Abstract
While rhytidectomy can yield remarkable results, some patients may subsequently require revision rhytidectomy due to either unsatisfactory outcomes from primary surgery or the natural aging process many years later. Like most other secondary plastic surgical procedures, revision rhytidectomy is a complex undertaking and fraught with potential pitfalls. This can be attributable to natural or postsurgical alterations that can occur with the facial skin, superficial musculoaponeurotic system/platysma muscle, and/or facial nerve landmarks. Additionally, complications such as cobra neck deformity, pixie ear deformity, and synkinesis can add an extra level of complexity to revisional surgery. Furthermore, as more surgeons are performing deep-plane facelifts and more aggressive neck procedures, the risks are further amplified in revisional surgery. In this article, we review the challenges that a facelift surgeon may face when performing revision rhytidectomy and the technical considerations to overcome these obstacles.

Abstract
Background The efficacy of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) secretome for skin aging has been established, yet no studies hitherto directly investigated the best administration method for such purpose. Purpose We aimed to compare microneedling (MN) versus fractional CO2 laser (FL) as methods of delivery for ADMSCs secretome in the treatment of aging skin. Patients and Methods A single-blind, randomized split-face clinical trial was conducted on 30 Indonesian women (aged 35-59 years old) with signs of facial cutaneous senescence. Their initial aging status was assessed by dermoscopy photoaging scale (DPAS) and Janus-III measurement system. In the second and fourth weeks, all participants were treated with both MN and FL, followed by the application of a four-fold concentrated ADMSC secretome. The assignment of which side of the face received MN or FL was done by computer-based randomization. Skin parameters were reevaluated on the fourth and sixth weeks, along with patient satisfaction, level of comfort, preference for administration techniques, and also adverse events experienced during the study. Appropriate statistical analyses were subsequently performed at a significance level of 0.05. Results Significant improvements in total DPAS and wrinkles were found in the MN and FL groups at the end of the trial. In contrast, no statistical differences in all parameters were observed between groups in the fourth and sixth weeks. FL scored higher than MN for satisfaction and preference, but lower in terms of comfort. Pain, burning sensation, and itch were the side effects experienced by subjects upon treatment. Two patients had prolonged reddish skin succeeding FL treatment, which relieved with moisturizer application. Conclusion Both MN and FL yielded comparable results for improving several skin aging features. However, subjective preference for ADMSCs secretome administration method may differ when considering satisfaction, comfort, and possible adverse events.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Aging is a multifactorial response to genetic preprogramming nuances, sun exposure, and ultraviolet radiation. Recently, there has been a paradigm shift toward minimally invasive rejuvenation. OBJECTIVE This prospective multicenter study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel hands-free bipolar bulk radiofrequency (RF) device in terms of improvement in skin appearance. PATIENTS AND METHODS This multicenter prospective study enrolled subjects aged 35 to 75 years with visible signs of aging. The primary objective was to evaluate skin appearance pretreatment and at 1, 3, and 6 months after the final treatment. Each patient received 3 total treatments to the chin and cheeks using the hands-free RF device spaced 2 weeks apart. RESULTS In total, data from 87 patients were assessed from 6 treatment sites. The average age was 54 years (range 35-75 years). Most patients were female (97%), and Fitzpatrick skin types I to V were represented. Overall, patients found the procedures to be relatively pain-free, and both patients and investigators felt they noted some improvement in their skin appearance. Histological sections demonstrated an increase in collagen or elastic fibers within the papillary dermis. CONCLUSION This study supports the use of this novel noninvasive hands-free bipolar facial remodeling device for the improvement of skin appearance.

Abstract
Radiofrequency (RF) is increasingly used as an aesthetic treatment for a variety of purposes ranging from the treatment of acne scarring, cellulite correction and skin and soft tissue rejuvenation. The majority of patients experience no complications, and the treatment is therefore also frequently administered by non-medically trained staff. We present a patient, who developed severe 3rd degree burn after RF treatment requiring reconstructive surgery with a split thickness skin graft.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Face-lift surgery is the most crucial and constantly evolving technique of facial rejuvenation. Periodic reviews synthesizing the latest face-lift techniques may help surgeons sharpen their surgical procedures. METHODS A literature search was conducted of the PubMed databases using the search term "face lift" and "rhytidectomy." Articles reporting rhytidectomy of the forehead/brow, midface, lower face, and neck were included. Sixty-nine articles were selected after independent screening by three of the authors. The Oxford Centre for Evidence-based Medicine scale was used for evaluating evidence level. RESULTS Of the 69 candidate articles, 10 studies (15%) reported techniques of neck lifting; 10 studies (15%) introduced techniques of endoscopic brow lifting; 7 studies (10%) pertained to brow lifting without endoscopic techniques. The most frequently reported locations of rhytidectomy were the brow/forehead (20%), neck (19%), and face-neck (17%). Additionally, articles regarding Asian face-lifts (14%) have been increasing. The evidence level of the articles was generally low, with only 10 articles assessed as level 1-3 with 59 articles as level 4-5. CONCLUSIONS Face-lift articles with high-level evidence are still lacking. Prominently, forehead lifting and neck lifting have become upward trends of rhytidectomy in recent years, and the techniques of short-scar face-lift have been more valued. Abstract
Background. Involutive processes in the human body are often accompanied by the only visible manifestation - a change in appearance. Against this background, the search for new treatment methods that will focus on timely and rational correction of age-related skin changes and combine the possibility of complex effects on the mechanisms of skin aging is relevant. Hardware physiotherapy technologies and innovative autologous cellular preparations have a powerful regenerative potential, trigger and support physiological tissue regeneration. Despite the substantial amount of data on combined aesthetic correction protocols, there were only isolated data in the domestic and foreign literature on the combined use of fractional needle radiofrequency therapy and platelet-rich plasma activated by autologous thrombin. This was the basis for this study.
Aims. To evaluate the results of a combined method for correcting age-related skin changes based on a combination of hardware fractional needle radiofrequency exposure and injection therapy with platelet-rich plasma activated by autologous thrombin, comparing to monotherapy the same methods.
Materials and methods. Fractional microneedle radiofrequency therapy was carried out three times with an interval between procedures of 3 weeks with the use of a high-frequency electrosurgical device Scarlet RF. Therapy with autologous plasma rich in platelets activated by autologous thrombin (PRP therapy) was performed three times with an interval between procedures of 3 weeks without the use of preliminary topical anesthesia. Combination therapy combined the use of the above methods. Regression of clinical signs of skin aging was evaluated according to digital dermatoscopy and regression of the total value of the dermatological index of the quality of life of patients, as well as improvement of qualitative and functional parameters of the skin. A statistical analysis was carried out.
Results. A comparative analysis of the influence of various methods of correction of involutive changes in the skin of the face showed that the use of combination therapy provides the development of the most significant clinical effect in relation to all the assessed signs of skin aging. Combination therapy was accompanied by a significant increase in the integral index of microcirculation, regardless of age. The reconstructive effect on the morphological structures of the skin according to ultrasonography also turned out to be significantly higher for the combined method of treatment in comparison with radiofrequency therapy.
Conclusions. The combined use of fractional microneedle radiofrequency therapy and PRP therapy provides a more effective and prolonged correction of age-related skin changes compared to the monotherapy.

Abstract
The demand for non-invasive skin-tightening techniques is continuously on the rise, as now numerous patients seek safe and effective alternative body, neck, and facial aesthetic surgical procedures. Micro-focused ultrasound (MFU) has been recently introduced as a novel energy modality for skin rejuvenation to produce a more significant wound healing response at various levels, including strong collagen remodeling and long-lasting clinical response. This literature study was intended to find the role and efficiency of using micro-focused ultrasound therapy in male and female patients aged 35-65. A total of 139 articles were extracted from the PubMed and Science Direct electronic databases. After a thorough evaluation and following the exclusion and inclusion criteria, 10 full-text articles were relevant to the study. The goal was to analyze and examine the effects and benefits of MFU treatment to improve the skin. In addition, all of the patients were evaluated to report the harms and risks associated with MFU treatment. The literature study results revealed that significant improvements in the overall aesthetics of sagging of the mid and lower face could be accomplished by using a micro-focused ultrasonic treatment plan. Patients report no considerable side effects, and the results were also long-lasting. MFU treatment can activate deeper tissues without causing injury to the epidermis, which sets it apart from all other skin tightening methods. Better improvements rates have been reported by both patients' self-assessment and clinical investigators' evaluation.

The efficacy and safety of a combined multipolar radiofrequency with pulsed electromagnetic field technology for the treatment of vaginal laxity: a double-blinded, randomized, sham-controlled trial. Abstract
Non-invasive vaginal rejuvenation with radiofrequency (RF) and lasers devices have gained popularity, but well-designed studies confirming their effectiveness are lacking. The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of a multipolar RF and pulsed electromagnetic field-based device (PEMF) versus sham for vaginal laxity. Thirty-two premenopausal females with ≥ 1 vaginal delivery and self-reported vaginal laxity were randomized into 2 groups: active (RF + PEMF) and sham. Both groups received 3 vaginal treatments at 3-week interval. The Vaginal Laxity Questionnaire (VLQ), perineometer measurements, and Brink score were conducted at baseline, 4, and 12 weeks after treatments. Pre and post-treatment vaginal histology, Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), subjects’ satisfaction, pain, and adverse events were assessed. The active group VLQ scores increased and were significantly better than the sham group (p < 0.001). At the final follow-up, 50% of the active group reported no vaginal laxity (VLQ > 4) versus 12% in the sham group (p = 0.054). In the active group, all domains of perineometer measurements and Brink scores (p < 0.001), FSFI scores (p < 0.05), and patients’ satisfaction (p < 0.001) were significantly increased and higher in the active group. Mild adverse effects including pain and burning sensation were not different between groups except for itch which was significantly higher in the sham arm (p = 0.014). Histology after RF + PEMF treatments demonstrated neocollagenesis, neoelastogenesis, and neoangiogenesis. In conclusion, combination RF + PEMF therapy was safe, improved vaginal laxity, strengthened pelvic floor muscles, and improved female sexual function for at least 12-week post-procedures with confirmed histological improvements. This study was registered on the Thai Clinical Trials Registry, TCTR20200803002 on 2020–07-30 “retrospectively registered.”

Abstract
INTRODUCTION AND HYPOTHESIS Radiofrequency (RF) energy has been delivered in a variety of methods to the vagina, bladder, and periurethral tissue to improve myriad genitourinary complaints. Currently, practitioners are promoting transvaginal RF treatments with a minimal understanding of the various platforms and data to support or refute their utilization. This review explores how various RF technologies create desired tissue effects, review the published literature reporting outcomes of various treatment regimes, and peer into potential future uses of this technology in urogynecology. METHODS A comprehensive literature review was performed for articles pertaining to RF energy use in women for genitourinary complaints with regard to stress urinary incontinence (SUI), genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), female sexual dysfunction (FSD), and overactive bladder (OAB). RESULTS Radiofrequency energy devices heat tissues via direct or micro-needling applications with the goal of stimulating collagen remodeling, neovascularization, and potentially modulation of nerve function. By altering the approach and location of energy application, many new devices have been marketed for treatment of conditions such as SUI, GSM, FSD, and OAB. Available studies demonstrate promising efficacy and favorable safety; however, interpretation of studies is greatly limited by poor study quality and reporting. CONCLUSIONS Despite a lack of high-quality evidence for efficacy, safety, and durability in the literature, practitioners around the world continue to promote RF technology for a variety of genitourinary complaints. Currently, it appears that RF energy can potentially treat a variety of genitourinary conditions, but more robust data are needed to substantiate evidence-based use.
