Abstract
Cancer is one of the foremost causes of mortality. The human genome remains stable over time. However, human activities and environmental factors have the power to influence the prevalence of certain types of mutations. This goes to the excessive progress of xenobiotics and industrial development that is expanding the territory for cancers to develop. The mechanisms involved in immune responses against cancer are widely studied. Genome editing has changed the genome-based immunotherapy process in the human body and has opened a new era for cancer treatment. In this review, recent cancer immunotherapies and the use of genome engineering technology are largely focused on.

Abstract
A promising future for oncology treatment has been brought about by the emergence of a novel approach utilizing oncolytic viruses in cancer immunotherapy. Oncolytic viruses are viruses that have been exploited genetically to assault malignant cells and activate a robust immune response. Several techniques have been developed to endow viruses with an oncolytic activity through genetic engineering. For instance, redirection capsid modification, stimulation of anti-neoplastic immune response, and genetically arming viruses with cytokines such as IL-12. Oncolytic viral clinical outcomes are sought after, particularly in more advanced cancers. The effectiveness and safety profile of the oncolytic virus in clinical studies with or without the combination of standard treatment (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or primary excision) has been assessed using response evaluation criteria in solid tumors (RECIST). This review will comprehensively outline the most recent clinical applications and provide the results from various phases of clinical trials in a variety of cancers in the latest published literature.

Abstract
Hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (HPSCC) is among the most common malignances of the head and neck and is associated with a poor prognosis. Although both differentiation and tumor-node-metastasis stage affect tumor aggressiveness, the effect of differentiation on the prognosis of HPSCC at different stages is unclear. The aim of this study was to compare survival outcomes between patients with poorly differentiated versus well-differentiated and moderately differentiated HPSCC. Patients with well/moderately differentiated and poorly differentiated HPSCC were matched based on age, sex, smoking status, alcohol use, comorbidity score, tumor stage, and therapeutic strategies. The Kaplan-Meier curve and Cox proportional hazards model were used to analyze survival. A total of 204 patients with newly diagnosed HPSCC were included after matching 102 well/moderately differentiated cases and 102 poorly differentiated cases from Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Patients with well/moderately differentiated HPSCC had significantly better disease-specific survival (P = .003) and overall survival (P = .006) than patients with poorly differentiated HPSCC. Additionally, multivariable analysis indicated that increased differentiation was associated with a significantly reduced risk of overall death (adjusted hazard ratio, 0.51; 95% confidence interval, 0.34-0.78, P = .002), and death due to disease (adjusted hazard ratio, 0.44; 95% confidence interval, 0.28-0.69, P < .001). Survival outcomes differed significantly between the well/moderately differentiated and poorly differentiated HPSCC patients. Treatment strategies based on the level of pathological differentiation might be necessary to improve survival outcomes in patients with HPSCC.

Abstract
Several onco-virotherapy candidates have been developed and clinically evaluated for the treatment of cancer, and several are approved for clinical use. In this systematic review we explored the clinical impact of onco-virotherapy compared to other cancer therapies by analyzing factors such as trial design, patient background, therapy design, delivery strategies, and study outcomes. For this purpose, we retrieved clinical studies from three platforms: ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed, and EMBASE. We found that most studies were performed in patients with advanced and metastatic tumors, using a broad range of genetically engineered vectors and mainly administered intratumorally. Therapeutic safety was the most frequently assessed outcome, while relatively few studies focused on immunological antitumor responses. Moreover, only 59 out of 896 clinical studies were randomized controlled trials reporting comparative data. This systemic review thus reveals the need of more, and better controlled, clinical studies to increase our understanding on the application of onco-virotherapy either as a single treatment or in combination with other cancer immunotherapies.

Abstract
Head and neck cancer has been treated by a combination of surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. In recent years, the development of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has made immunotherapy a new treatment method. Oncolytic virus (OV) therapy selectively infects tumor cells with a low-pathogenic virus, lyses tumor cells by the cytopathic effects of the virus, and induces anti-tumor immunity to destroy tumors by the action of immune cells. In OV therapy for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), viruses, such as herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), vaccinia virus, adenovirus, reovirus, measles virus, and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), are mainly used. As the combined use of mutant HSV-1 and ICI was successful for the treatment of melanoma, studies are underway to combine OV therapy with radiation, chemotherapy, and other types of immunotherapy. In such therapy, it is important for the virus to selectively replicate in tumor cells, and to express the viral gene and the introduced foreign gene in the tumor cells. In OV therapy for HNSCC, it may be useful to combine systemic and local treatments that improve the delivery and replication of the inoculated oncolytic virus in the tumor cells.

Abstract
Glioblastoma is one of the most aggressive human brain tumors. Even following all the modern protocols of complex treatment, the median patient survival typically does not exceed 15 months. This review analyzes the main reasons for glioblastoma resistance to therapy, as well as attempts at categorizing the main approaches to increasing chemotherapy efficiency. Special emphasis is placed on the specific group of compounds, known as marine alkaloids and their synthetic derivatives exerting a general antitumor effect on glioblastoma cells. The unique mechanisms of marine alkaloid influence on the tumor cells prompt considering them as a promising basis for creating new chemotherapeutic agents for glioblastoma treatment.

Abstract
This study was designed to investigate the correlation between high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and the expression of IHC markers (ER, PR, p53, Ki67) in patients with different grades of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). It was a retrospective study, which was conducted from June 2016 to June 2018. 140 specimens of CIN were collected from the pathology department of a certain hospital that included 40 specimens of CIN1, 50 specimens of CIN2 and 50 specimens of CIN3. The expression of ER, PR, P53 and Ki67 were determined by immunohistochemistry. The high-risk HPV infections were detected by PCR fluorescence quantification and were given the correlation analysis. In the 140 specimens, the positive rates of HPV16 and HPV18 in CIN1 specimens were 27.5% and 25.0% respectively, and in CIN2 specimens were 64.0% and 60.0% respectively, and in CIN3 specimens were 90.0% and 92.0% respectively, the difference were statistically significant (p<0.05). There were no significant correlation (p<0.05) between HPV16 and HPV18 positive rate and patient age, tissue differentiation, and tumor size. With the increased of CIN grade, the positive rate of ER, PR, P53 and Ki67 expression in specimen were also increased significantly, and the difference were statistically significant (p<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed there were positive correlation (p<0.05) between the positive rates of HPV16 and HPV18 and the positive rates of ER, PR, P53 and Ki67. With the increase of CIN level, the positive rates of high-risk HPV infection as well as ER, PR, P53 and Ki67 are increased, and they have positive correlation.
