Abstract
Objective: This study aimed to conduct the first meta-analysis to comprehensively evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of Xiaochaihu Decoction in treating Cancer-related Fever (CRF). Methods: Eight databases were systematically searched in September 2023. The risk of bias (ROB) 2.0 tool recommended by Cochrane Handbook was applied to evaluate the ROB of the included randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Additionally, the quality of evidence was assessed using the Grading of recommendations assessment, development and evaluation (GRADE) tool. Results: We included 18 RCTs involving 1,424 patients. Compared to Western medicine or Xinhuang Tablets, Xiaochaihu Decoction significantly improved clinical effectiveness in CRF patients (risk ratio [RR] = 1.24, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.17, 1.32) and expedited the normalization of body temperature (mean difference [MD] = -5.29, 95%CI: -5.59, -4.99). It also demonstrated a reduction in tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels (MD = -0.63, 95%CI: -0.84, -0.41) and an increase in IL-2 levels (MD = 1.42, 95%CI: -1.09, 1.74). Analysis of Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS) scores showed that the use of Xiaochaihu Decoction improved the quality of life in CRF patients (RR = 1.57, 95%CI: 1.11, 2.22) and reduced the incidence of adverse events. However, it is important to note that the majority of included studies showed "some concerns" in risk of bias based on ROB 2.0, and the evidence quality assessed by GRADE method was rated as "low". Conclusion: While this study suggests the clinical effectiveness and safety of Xiaochaihu Decoction in treating patients with CRF, confirming these findings will necessitate additional high-quality, large-scale RCTs in future research. Abstract
Fever-an elevated body temperature-is a prominent feature of a wide range of disease conditions and is a common finding in intensive care, affecting up to 70% of patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). The causes of fever in the ICU are multifactorial, and it can be due to a number of infective and noninfective etiologies. The production of fever represents a complex physiological, adaptive host response that is beneficial for host defense and survival but can be maladaptive and harmful if left unabated. Despite any cause, fever is associated with a wide range of cellular, local, and systemic effects, including multiorgan dysfunction, systemic inflammation, poor neurological recovery, and an increased risk of mortality. This narrative review presents the current state-of-the-art knowledge on the definition, pathophysiology, etiology, and outcomes of fever in the ICU and highlights evidence-based findings regarding the management of fever in the intensive care setting.

Abstract
Sensitive spectrofluorometric and liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection methods have been developed for detection and determination of naproxen drug in the presence of cucurbit7uril (CB7). Fluorescence signals have been improved with the addition of CB7 to the drug aqueous solution. Fluorescence spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, 1H-NMR, and liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection were used to investigate the guest-host interaction of naproxen drug and cucurbiturils. Naproxen was found to form a supramolecular complex with CB7 that had a high formation constant. The optimal conditions for the interaction were discovered using spectroflurometry to be 0.2 mg/ml of CB7, 2.4 μg/ml of naproxen drug, and pH10. A 1:1 complex between naproxen and CB7 is revealed by proton NMR and tandem mass spectrometry. Using the standard addition calibration method, an HPLC with a fluorescence detector was used to detect naproxen in influent and effluent wastewater samples. Finally, it was discovered that the measured concentrations of naproxen in the influent and the effluent wastewater were 1.87 × 10-4 ppb and 2.1 × 10-5 ppb, respectively. This was done by sample enrichment, which reduced the 1000 mL into 1 ml.

Abstract
In recent years, emerging immunotherapy has been included in various malignant tumor treatment standards. Temperature has been considered to affect different pathophysiological reactions such as inflammation and cancer for a long time. However, in tumor immunology research, temperature is still rarely considered a significant variable. In this review, we discuss the effects of room temperature, body temperature, and the local tumor temperature on the tumor immune microenvironment from multiple levels and perspectives, and we discuss changes in the body's local and whole-body temperature under tumor conditions. We analyze the current use of ablation treatment-the reason for the opposite immune effect. We should pay more attention to the therapeutic potential of temperature and create a better antitumor microenvironment that can be combined with immunotherapy.

Abstract
The worldwide epidemic of three coronaviruses and one influenza virus in 21st century have seriously threatened human health. Infection with these viruses can cause respiratory symptoms. The patients with lung cancer are more susceptible to viral infection and have a worse prognosis due to the advanced age and the systemic immunosuppressive state caused by malignancy itself and the anticancer treatments. In addition, without sufficient clinical awareness, a missed diagnosis of viral pneumonia may occur due to the fever and respiratory symptoms caused by lung cancer and its secondary diseases. Furthermore, control measures against viral outbreaks may interfere with routine diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer patients. Therefore, scientific protection and individualized management of lung cancer patients are particularly important during virus epidemic prevention and control. Here, we systematically reviewed the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of viral pneumonia, its impact on patients with lung cancer and the differential diagnosis of lung cancer-related respiratory manifestations, aiming to provide guidance for the individual management of lung cancer patients during the prevention and control of viral pneumonia epidemic.
