Abstract
OBJECTIVE The study aimed to investigate the effects of verbascoside on oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cellular behaviors and underlying molecular mechanisms. DESIGN For this purpose, SCC9 and UM1 cell lines were treated with verbascoside, and their biological behaviors, including proliferation, migration, and invasion, were evaluated using cell counting kit-8, 5-Ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine, and Transwell assays. The expression of methyltransferase-3 (METTL3), microRNA (miR)- 31-5p, and homeodomain interacting protein kinase-2 (HIPK2) were examined using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). The interaction between METTL3 and miR-31-5p was evaluated by RNA immunoprecipitation and methylated RNA immunoprecipitation, while the interaction between miR-31-5p and HIPK2 was evaluated by dual-luciferase reporter analysis. RESULTS The results indicated inhibition of OSCC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion post verbascoside treatment. Similarly, METTL3 was upregulated in OSCC cells and was inhibited post-verbascoside treatment. Overexpressing METTL3 promoted the cellular processes. Moreover, miR-31-5p was upregulated in OSCC cells, where METTL3 facilitated the processing of miR-31-5p in an N6-methyladenosine (m6A)-dependent manner. The HIPK2 served as miR-31-5p target, where overexpressing miR-31-5p or HIPK2 knockdown reversed the suppression of verbascoside-induced biological behaviors. CONCLUSIONS Verbascoside inhibited the progression of OSCC by inhibiting the METTL3-regulated miR-31-5p/HIPK2 axis. These findings suggested that verbascoside might be an effective drug for OSCC therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Oral cancer, which is caused by mucous membrane variation, represents a prevalent malignant tumor in the oral and maxillofacial region, posing a significant threat to patients' lives and safety. While surgical intervention stands as a cornerstone treatment for oral cancer patients, it carries the risk of incomplete treatment or high rates of postoperative recurrence. Hence, a multifaceted approach incorporating diverse treatment modalities is essential to enhance patient prognosis. AIM To analyze the application effect of Tongluo Jiedu prescription as adjuvant therapy and its influence on patient prognosis in patients with oral cancer. METHODS Eighty oral cancer patients in our hospital were selected and divided into the observation group and control group by a random number table. The control group was treated with continuous arterial infusion chemotherapy of cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil. The observation group was additionally given Tongluo Jiadu prescription. The inflammatory stress level, peripheral blood T-cell subsets, and immune function of the two groups were subsequently observed. SPSS 21.0 was used for data analysis. RESULTS The observation group demonstrated lower levels of interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein, and a higher level of tumor necrosis factor in comparison to the control group. After treatment, the immune function in the observation group was significantly better than in the control group. CONCLUSION Tongluo Jiedu prescription can improve the immune function and oxidative stress level of patients with oral cancer and accelerate the recovery process.

Abstract
Oral cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of the head and neck, not only affects the appearance, but also affects eating and even endangers life. The clinical treatments of oral cancer mainly include surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. However, unsatisfactory therapeutic effect and toxic side effects are still the main problems in clinical treatment. Tumor microenvironment (TME) is not only closely related to the occurrence, growth, and metastasis of tumor but also works in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of tumor and prognosis. Future studies should continue to investigate the relationship of TME and oral cancer therapy. This purpose of this review was to analyze the characteristics of oral cancer microenvironment, summarize the traditional oral cancer therapy and immunotherapy strategies, and finally prospect the development prospects of oral cancer immunotherapy. Immunotherapy targeting tumor microenvironment is expected to provide a new strategy for clinical treatment of oral cancer.

Abstract
Objective To investigate the multiomics immune-related lncRNA analysis of oral squamous cell carcinoma and its correlation with prognosis. Methods Through the bioinformatics database, a total of 346 oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) related samples were retrieved. Bioinformatics analysis screened out the difference lncRNAs in the sample tissue and normal tissue, combined with literature research to clarify the target. The biological functions of differentially expressed lncRNAs were predicted. The differential expression network of differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs was established. The correlation analysis software was used to analyze the correlation between oral squamous cell carcinoma multiomics immune-related lncRNA and prognosis. Results 3054 lncRNAs in OSCC tissues are highly correlated with immune genes. 76 immune-related lncRNAs were different in tumor and adjacent tissues. Cancer Hallmark, Phenotype, and Subcellular Location analysis were completed. The results showed that lncRNAs can participate in tumor cell invasion, metastasis, proliferation, and apoptosis. Select the 15 most important lncRNAs above, draw Kaplan-Meier curve to complete the survival curve analysis, and complete the analysis and arrangement of the relevant data. LINC00460, CASC9, and HCG22 were screened for subsequent analysis. Complete the GO and KEGG enrichment analysis. LINC00460, CASC9, and macrophages M0 are positively correlated; CASC9 is negatively correlated with macrophages M1; LINC00460 is positively correlated with macrophages M1; HCG22 is associated with mast cells resting positive correlation; LINC00460 was negatively correlated with mast cell resting. CASC9 and HCG22 were significantly correlated with the age and stage of OSCC patients; 2 key lncRNA and 79 miRNAs were extracted from the database, to complete 86 pairs of interactions; the target mRNAs were predicted based on the above miRNAs. A total of 631 pairs of interactions were predicted (including 21 miRNAs and 562 mRNAs), and the regulatory mechanism of key gene ceRNA network was constructed. Conclusion The differential expression of multiple lncRNAs and mRNAs was screened, and the downregulated lncRNAs were more than the upregulated lncRNAs. The lncRNA LINC00460, CASC9, and HCG22 had a strong correlation with prognosis.

Effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine Anticancer Decoction Combined with Basic Chemotherapy and Nursing Intervention on Oral Cancer Patients after Surgery and Its Effect on Tumor Markers and Immune Function. Abstract
Objective To prospectively study the application effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) anticancer decoction with basic chemotherapy and nursing intervention on oral cancer patients after surgery and the effect on tumor markers and immune function. Methods Eighty-four postoperative oral cancer patients in our hospital from May 2017 to February 2019 were selected and divided into observation group (42 cases) and control group (42 cases). The control group was treated with basic chemotherapy combined with basic nursing care, and the observation group was treated with TCM anticancer decoction and comprehensive nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the occurrence of adverse reactions, the satisfaction of nursing care, and the two-year cumulative survival rate of the two groups were compared. The immune function, tumor marker level, VAS score, QoR40 score, and survival quality score of the two groups were compared before and after nursing care. Results The total clinical treatment efficiency of the observation group (88.10%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (69.05%), and the differences between the two groups in oral cleanliness, aspiration frequency, and oral comfort were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The differences in the occurrence of halitosis, oral fungal infection, leukopenia, gastrointestinal reaction, and fever in the observation group were statistically significant compared with the control group (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate in the observation group (95.24%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (78.57%). The two-year cumulative survival rate of the observation group (92.86%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (73.81%). After nursing care, CD4+, CD4+/CD8+, VAS scores, QoR40 scores, and quality of survival scores in both groups all increased, and CD8+, CD56+, CEA level, NSE level, and CA19-9 level all decreased (all P < 0.05). Conclusion The clinical efficacy of TCM anticancer decoction with basic chemotherapy and nursing interventions in the treatment of postoperative oral cancer patients was remarkable, which could significantly improve patients' oral cleanliness and comfort, reduce the frequency of sputum aspiration, improve patients' immunity, reduce tumor marker levels, inhibit tumor activity, improve patients' nursing satisfaction, further improve patients' treatment compliance, reduce patients' pain level, improve patients' survival quality, and prolong patients' survival time with high safety. It could be used as a theoretical basis for subsequent clinical research.

Abstract
According to the World Health Organization, cancer is the second leading cause of death in the world. In Spain, about a quarter of a million cases were diagnosed in 2017, and 81% of the Spanish population has used, at least once, some kind of complementary therapy. Said therapies are increasingly being used by cancer patients. The purpose of the study is to analyse the effectiveness of complementary therapies among cancer patients. A systematic peer review was conducted following the PRISMA-ScR guide in four databases (PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus and WOS). The inclusion criteria were Randomised Clinical Trials, published between 2013 and 2018, with a value of 3 or more on the Jadad Scale. The protocol was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42019127593). The study sample amounted to 1845 patients (64.55% women), the most common being breast cancer patients (794), followed by lung cancer patients (341). Fifteen complementary therapies were identified. We found two studies for each of the following: electroacupuncture, phytotherapy, hypnotherapy, guided imagery and progressive muscle relaxation. From the remaining ones, we identified a study on each therapy. The findings reveal some effective complementary therapies: auriculotherapy and acupuncture, laser moxibustion, hypnosis, Ayurveda, electroacupuncture, progressive muscle relaxation and guided imagery, yoga, phytotherapy, music therapy and traditional Chinese medicine. On the other hand, electroacupuncture, laser moxibustion and traditional Chinese medicine presented adverse effects, and kinesiology did not show effectiveness.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been widely applied as promising adjunctive drugs for ovarian carcinoma (OC) in China and other Asian countries. However, its exact clinical efficacy and safety is still not well investigated. In this study, we aimed to summarize the efficacy of TCM on survival, quality of life (QoL), and immune function in patients with OC through the meta-analysis. METHODS Relevant clinical trials of TCM for the treatment OC patients will be searched in Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Google Scholar, PubMed, Medline, Embase, China Scientific Journal Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, and Wanfang Database from their inception to November 2020. Two researchers will perform data extraction and risk of bias assessment independently. The clinical outcomes, including overall survival (OS), QoL, immune function, tumor markers, and adverse events, were systematically evaluated by using Review Manager 5.3 and Stata 14.0 statistical software. RESULTS The results of this study will provide high-quality evidence for the effect of TCM on survival, QoL and immune function in patients with OC. CONCLUSION The conclusions of this meta-analysis will be published in a peer-reviewed journal, and draw an objective conclusion of the efficacy of TCM on survival, QoL, and immune function in patients with OC.
