Abstract
In China, a traditional Chinese medicine formulation called astragalus membranaceus (AM) has been utilised for more than 20 years to treat tumors with extraordinary effectiveness. The fundamental mechanisms, nevertheless, are still not well understood. The aim of this study is identifying its possible therapeutic targets and to evaluate the effects of AM in combination with a PARP inhibitor (olaparib) in the treatment of BRCA wild-type ovarian cancer. Significant genes were collected from Therapeutic Target Database and Database of Gene-Disease Associations. The components of AM were analyzed using the Traditional Chinese Medicine System Pharmacology (TCMSP) database to screen the active ingredients of AM based on their oral bioavailability and drug similarity index. In order to find intersection targets, Venn diagrams and STRING website diagrams were employed. STRING was also used to create a protein-protein interaction network. In order to create the ingredient-target network, Cytoscape 3.8.0 was used. DAVID database was utilized to carry out enrichment and pathway analyses. The binding ability of the active compounds of AM to the core targets of AM-OC was verified with molecular docking using AutoDock software. Experimental validations, including cell scratch, cell transwell, cloning experiment, were conducted to verify the effects of AM on OC cells. A total of 14 active ingredients of AM and 28 AM-OC-related targets were screened by network pharmacology analysis. The ten most significant Gene Ontology (GO) biological function analyses, as well as the 20 foremost Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment pathways were selected. Moreover, molecular docking results showed that bioactive compound (quercetin) demonstrated a good binding ability with tumor protein p53 (TP53), MYC, vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA), phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN), AKT serine/threonine kinase 1 (AKT1) and cyclin D1 (CCND1) oncogenes. According to experimental methods, in vitro OC cell proliferation and migration appeared to be inhibited by quercetin, which also increased apoptosis. In addition, the combination with olaparib further enhanced the effect of quercetin on OC. Based on network pharmacology, molecular docking, and experimental validation, the combination of PARP inhibitor and quercetin enhanced the anti-proliferative activity in BRCA wild-type ovarian cancer cells, which supplies the theoretical groundwork for additional pharmacological investigation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Ovarian cancer (OC) is the eighth most common cancer with high mortality in women worldwide. Currently, compounds derived from Chinese herbal medicine have provided a new angle for OC treatment. METHODS In this study, the cell proliferation and migration of ovarian cancer A2780/SKOV3 cells were inhibited after being treated with nitidine chloride (NC) by using MTT and Wound-Healing Assay. Flow cytometry analysis indicated NC-induced apoptosis of ovarian cancer cells, and AO and MDC staining showed that NC treatment induced the appearance of autophagosomes and autophagic lysosomes in ovarian cancer cells. RESULTS Through the autophagy inhibition experiment of chloroquine, it was proved that NC significantly further promoted apoptosis in ovarian cancer cells. Furthermore, NC proved that it could significantly decrease the expression of autophagy-related genes such as Akt, mTOR, P85 S6K, P70 S6K, and 4E-BP1. CONCLUSION Therefore, we suggest that NC could trigger autophagy and apoptosis of ovarian cancer cells through Akt/mTOR signaling pathway, and NC may potentially be a target for chemotherapy against ovarian cancer.

Abstract
This meta-analysis plus network pharmacology aimed to investigate whether traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) combined with chemotherapy is associated with more beneficial efficacy data in the treatment of gynecological cancer (GC). A total of 11 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) consisting of 863 GC patients were included. Results showed a better ORR (RR: 1.42, 95% CI: 1.18–1.71; I2 = 21.4%; p = 0.282), DCR (RR: 1.13, 95% CI: 1.03–1.25; I2 = 0.0%; p = 0.492), PD (RR: 0.27, 95% CI: 0.11–0.65, p = 0.003; I2 = 0.0%, p = 0.930), and QOL (SMD: 0.85, 95% CI: 0.38–1.33, p = 0.005) and higher proportions of CD3+ T (WMD: 5.65, 95% CI: 4.23–7.08, p = 0.000; I2 = 68.3%, p = 0.004), CD4+ T (WMD: 6.97, 95% CI: 5.35–8.59, p = 0.000; I2 = 83.4%, p = 0.000), and the CD4+/CD8+ T ratio (WMD: 0.32, 95% CI: 0.23–0.42, p = 0.000; I2 = 78.0%, p = 0.000). The number of adverse events (AEs) was significantly lower in the TCM + chemotherapy group. The active components and targets of 19 high-frequency Chinese medicines obtained from the meta-analysis were screened and explored in network pharmacology analysis. Also, a regulatory network of active components and targets, a core network and key genes, a diagram of protein interaction, network topology analysis, and gene body GO function and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis were performed. A total of 120 active components were identified. NPM1 and HSPA8 are the most critical target proteins in the core network of protein interaction. HSP90AA1 is the most important target protein in the TCM group. KEGG enrichment analysis showed that it was highly significant in the lipid and atherosclerotic pathways. Therefore, moderate evidence revealed that TCM plus chemotherapy has obvious advantages over chemotherapy alone in terms of tumor responses, QOL, peripheral blood lymphocyte levels, and fewer AEs in the treatment of GC. The potential important targets and core genes were displayed.

Abstract
Background To compare the diagnostic value of serum markers human epididymal protein 4 (HE4) and cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) combined with transvaginal color Doppler sonography (TVCDS) in ovarian cancer (OC) treated with Bushen Yiqi Quyu prescription. Methods A total of 232 OC patients treated at the hospital from January 2018 to October 2020 were randomly divided into an observation group (n = 116) and control group (n = 116). The control group was treated with essential Western medication, and the observation group was treated with essential Western medication and Bushen Yiqi Quyu prescription. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared. The levels of HE4 and COX-1 were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The ultrasonic features of TVCDS were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The ROC curve was drawn to compare the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of single and combined detection of HE4, COX-1, and TVCDS in the observation group. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group. After treatment, HE4 and COX-1 levels in both groups were considerably lower than those before treatment, and in the observation group, they decreased significantly than in the control group. HE4 and COX-1 were positively correlated with the clinical stage of OC. The higher the clinical stage, the higher the levels of HE4 and COX-1. After treatment, there was no significant difference in tumor location and the boundary between the two groups. There were statistically significant differences in tumor echo, nature, morphology, calcification, internal blood flow, and lymph node metastasis, and the difference in the observation group was more evident than in control group. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive detection rate, and negative detection rate of combined detection were higher than those of single detection. Conclusions Bushen Yiqi Quyu prescription has certain curative effects in the treatment of OC patients, which can significantly reduce the level of tumor markers and improve the symptoms of OC patients. The combined detection of HE4, COX-1, and TVCDS has high sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy, which can effectively detect OC and reduce missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis.

Abstract
Objective To study the effects of psychological intervention combined with dietary guidance on the quality of life and long-term efficacy of Bushen Quyu Decoction in the treatment of patients with advanced ovarian cancer. Methods 220 patients with advanced (stages III to IV) ovarian cancer in our hospital from May 2015 to October 2018 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 110 cases in each group. The patients in the control group received basic nursing care and treatment with Bushen Quyu Decoction, and the patients in the observation group were combined with psychological intervention and dietary guidance on the basis of the treatment of the patients in the control group. The clinical efficacy, nursing satisfaction, treatment compliance, quality of life, negative emotion comparison, and long-term efficacy of the two groups were compared. Moreover, the changes of immune function indexes and the content of tumor markers were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group (64.55%) was higher than that in the control group (31.82%). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 94.55%, the nursing satisfaction of the control group was 84.55%, and the difference was statistically significant (p < 0.01). The treatment compliance of the observation group was 98.18%, the treatment compliance of the control group was 82.73%, and the difference was statistically significant (p < 0.0001). After nursing, the Anxiety Self-Rating Scale (SAS) score and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) score of the two groups of patients were decreased (∗p < 0.05), and the score of the observation group decreased more significantly (Δ p < 0.05). After nursing, the scores of the two groups of patients in social/family status, physical function, physiological function, and emotional status increased (∗p < 0.05), and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group (Δ p < 0.05). After nursing, the CD3+, CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ levels of the observation group were significantly higher than the control group (p < 0.05). The CD8+ level of the observation group was significantly lower than the control group (p < 0.05). After nursing, the levels of tumor markers in the two groups were decreased (∗p < 0.05), and the observation group was downregulated more significantly than the control group (Δ p < 0.05). The two-year cumulative survival rate of the observation group was 78.18%, and the two-year cumulative survival rate of the control group was 54.55%. The observation group was significantly higher than the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusions Psychological intervention combined with dietary guidance can significantly improve the quality of life and mental state of patients with advanced ovarian cancer, enhance the patient's immune function, reduce the serum tumor markers carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen (CA199) levels, and improve survival rate and survival time, which has important clinical significance.
