Abstract
Liver transplantation (LT) is the standard of care for many liver conditions, such as end-stage liver diseases, inherited metabolic disorders, and primary liver malignancies. In the latter group, indications of LT for hepatoblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma evolved and are currently available for many non-resectable cases. However, selection criteria apply, as the absence of active metastases. Evidence of good long-term outcomes has validated the LT approach for managing these malignancies in the context of specialist and multidisciplinary approach. Nevertheless, LT's role in treating primary vascular tumours of the liver in children, both benign and malignant, remains somewhat controversial. The rarity of the different diseases and the heterogeneity of pathological definitions contribute to the controversy and make evaluating the benefit/risk ratio and outcomes quite difficult. In this narrative review, we give an overview of primary vascular tumours of the liver in children, the possible indications and the outcomes of LT.

Abstract
Pancreatic angiosarcoma is an exceedingly rare malignancy accounting for <1% of pancreatic neoplasms. A very limited number of pancreatic angiosarcomas have been reported in the literature without any cases described in children. We present the case of a 17-year-old female diagnosed with angiosarcoma of the pancreas following pancreaticoduodenectomy for a pancreatic mass, initially presumed to be a solid pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas. The angiosarcoma was found to have a novel activating internal tandem duplication in the KDR gene (KDR-internal tandem duplication). We discuss the current literature on this disease process. This is the first reported case of pancreatic angiosarcoma in a pediatric patient and the first with an activating KDR-internal tandem duplication.

Abstract
Epithelioid angiosarcoma (EA) is a highly aggressive vascular neoplasm. Primary mediastinal EA is extremely rare with only few cases reported in the English literature. We herein present a case of a 78-year-old patient, who was found to have a right superior mediastinal mass associated with mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathy. Endobronchial ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration cytology of a station 4R lymph node revealed a cellular, discohesive malignant neoplasm displaying primarily epithelioid morphology with occasional spindled, plasmacytoid, and tumor giant cells. The tumor cells had ample eosinophilic cytoplasm with pleomorphic nuclei and prominent nucleoli. Vasoformative features were noted, exemplified by widespread cytoplasmic vacuoles containing neutrophils and rare red blood cells (hemophagocytosis) and vascular channels identified solely in the cell block. By immunohistochemistry, the tumor cells stained strongly positive for vimentin, positive for ERG, CD-31, FLI-1, and focally positive for pan-cytokeratin. The cytomorphological features and immunostaining patterns were diagnostic of EA. No history of malignancy was reported, and no other lesions were identified on imaging. The diagnosis of primary mediastinal EA on cytology and small biopsy specimens may be challenging due to the rarity of this tumor, limited diagnostic material, and overlapping morphologic features with other entities in the differential diagnosis. A high index of suspicion, especially in cases with vasoformative features, and utilization of ancillary studies can help establish the diagnosis.

Abstract
Differential diagnosis of pediatric vascular liver tumors can be challenging due to inconsistent nomenclature, histologic overlap and the rarity of some entities. Here we give an up-to-date overview of the most important entities. We discuss the clinic, histology and pathophysiology of hepatic congenital and infantile heman gioma, hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma and hepatic angiosarcoma.

Abstract
A 40-year-old female presented with progressive fatigue and left upper abdominal discomfort for 1 month. CT scan revealed ill-defined hypervascular lesions in the liver and diffuse enlargement of the spleen. She had severe anemia with leukoerythroblastic reaction. Bone marrow smears revealed clusters and discrete spindle cells, few plump and round cells. Trephine biopsy revealed an infiltrative spindle-cell neoplasm replacing the marrow with the focal presence of epithelioid cell clusters. On immunostaining, the tumor cells were positive for CD34, CD31, Friend Leukemia Virus Integration-1 (FLI1), and vimentin, consistent with metastatic angiosarcoma. There were multiple small aggregates of 5-10 MIB-1 positive tumor cells (overall positivity < 1%). She succumbed to her illness before initiation of any therapy. Bone marrow metastasis of angiosarcoma is extremely rare. The aggressive clinical course and judicious use of immunohistochemical markers are required for definitive diagnosis.

Abstract
Mesenchymal tumors of the mediastinum are a heterogenous group of rare tumors with divergent lineages. Mediastinal mesenchymal tumors are diagnostically challenging due to their diversity and morphologic overlap with nonmesenchymal lesions arising in the mediastinum. Accurate histologic diagnosis is critical for appropriate patient management and prognostication. Many mediastinal mesenchymal tumors affect distinct age groups or occur at specific mediastinal compartments. Neurogenic tumors, liposarcoma, solitary fibrous tumor, and synovial sarcoma are common mesenchymal tumors in the mediastinum. Herein, we provide an update on the diagnostic approach to mediastinal mesenchymal tumors and a review of the histologic features and differential diagnosis of common benign and malignant mesenchymal tumors of the mediastinum.

Abstract
Primary malignant vascular neoplasms of the liver, angiosarcoma and epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, are extremely rare entities in the pediatric population. International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies classification system is recommended for the pathologic diagnosis of hepatic vascular lesions in this age group. In this article, we highlight the clinicopathologic characteristics of hepatic angiosarcoma and epithelioid hemangioendothelioma in the pediatric population. Hepatic angiosarcoma in children shows a slight female predominance with an average age of 40 mo at diagnosis. The distinct histologic features include whorls of atypical spindled cells and eosinophilic globules, in addition to the general findings of angiosarcoma. Histologic diagnosis of pediatric hepatic angiosarcoma is not always straightforward, and the diagnostic challenges are discussed in the article. Hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma also demonstrates a female predominance, but is more commonly identified in adolescents (median age at diagnosis: 12 years). Histologically, the lesion is characterized by epithelioid cells and occasional intracytoplasmic lumina with a background of fibromyxoid stroma. While WWTR1-CAMTA1 and YAP1-TFE3 fusions have been associated with epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, there are currently no known signature genetic alterations seen in pediatric hepatic angiosarcoma. Advancement in molecular pathology, particularly for pediatric hepatic angiosarcoma, is necessary for a better understanding of the disease biology, diagnosis, and development of targeted therapies.

Abstract
Angiosarcoma is a rare neoplasm, constituting only 2% of all the soft tissue tumors and most frequently involves the skin of the head and neck region in elderly males. They are extremely aggressive tumors with high rates of metastasis and poor outcomes. We report a unique case of angiosarcoma involving an unusual site – upper alveolus and maxilla in a young patient highlighting the diagnostic challenges in such a scenario. A 29 years old female presented with a non-healing wound of the oral cavity, which had progressed to the current maximum size of 6.4 cm within one month. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan revealed the involvement of maxilla up to the floor of the orbit and adjacent soft tissue. However, no distant metastasis was detected on Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan. Biopsy of the lesion showed an irregular, highly pleomorphic, and mitotically active epithelioid soft tissue tumor conclusively diagnosed as angiosarcoma.

Abstract
Primary intraoral angiosarcoma is an exceptionally rare malignancy of vascular origin which can be challenging to diagnose due to microscopic and immunohistochemical variability. A histopathologically challenging case of primary intraoral angiosarcoma, occurring in a pediatric patient is presented. A comprehensive review of the literature reveals that primary intraoral angiosarcomas occur with nearly equal frequency in males and females, affect the gingiva and the tongue most commonly and are treated primarily with surgery. As with angiosarcoma in other sites, primary intraoral angiosarcoma behaves aggressively with the majority of patients succumbing to their disease.

Unusual Neuroendocrine Differentiation in a Small Round Cell Angiosarcoma: A Potential Histologic Mimicker of Superficial Ewing Sarcoma. Am J Dermatopathol 2018. Abstract
Neuroendocrine differentiation or aberrant expression of neuroendocrine markers is very uncommon in angiosarcomas (AS) and creates a challenging differential diagnosis with other superficial or soft tissue tumors. Herein, we report a new case of superficial AS presenting as a tumor lesion on the little finger of the right hand of a 52-year-old man. The tumor displayed CD56, chromogranin-A, and synaptophysin immunoreactivity. Tumor cells were positive for vascular markers (CD31, FLI1, ERG, D2-40, VE-cadherin, VEGR1,2, and 3), CD99, and EMA, but were negative for S100, CK (AE1/AE3), CK20, polyomavirus, and myogenic (desmin and myogenin) and melanocyte markers (melan-A and HMB45). Ki67 immunostains indicated high proliferative activity (>50%). The whole-body computed tomography did not reveal distant disease. The initial assessment considered several tumor subtypes as possible histological diagnoses, including Ewing sarcoma, Ewing-like sarcoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and undifferentiated "small round cell sarcoma". Fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis was negative for EWSR1 translocation and molecular analysis failed to detect any EWSR1, CIC, SYT or BCOR rearrangement. As a follow-up investigation, we tested 17 cutaneous/superficial AS for neuroendocrine markers; however, only one of these showed focal CD56 and synaptophysin expression. In conclusion, the present findings indicate that neuroendocrine differentiation is a very infrequent feature in AS. We report an AS of the finger with an uncommon histological appearance and immunohistochemical profile: predominant round cell tumor proliferation and neuroendocrine differentiation. Pathologists should be aware of these potential histological and immunohistochemical pitfalls in AS.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Primary angiosarcoma of the kidney is a rare and aggressive malignant tumor presenting with a recognizable vascular differentiation. Its prognosis is fatal and the pathogenesis remains unclear. Renal angiomyolipoma is a relatively infrequent renal cortical neoplasm and is composed of variable proportions of adipose tissue, spindle cells, epithelioid smooth muscle cells and abnormal thick-walled blood vessels. CASE PRESENTATION Here, we reported a case in which a 64-year-old woman presenting with the chief complaint of a progressively enlarged mass in the left abdomen. Abdominal computed tomography confirmed presence of a tumor measuring 18 cm × 11 cm in the left posterior renal fascia. Microscopic examination and immunohistochemical staining confirmed co-existence of angiomyolipoma and angiosarcoma. Furthermore, the two components interspersed with each other and there were transitional zones between them. CONCLUSIONS In this case, we described for the first time a primary renal angiosarcoma possibly arising in a pre-existing angiomyolipoma of the kidney.

Abstract
Vascular tumors are benign neoplasms, which result from proliferating endothelial cells. These lesions present during infancy or childhood, may affect any location, and exhibit postnatal growth. Local complications include bleeding, tissue destruction, and pain whereas systemic sequelae include thrombocytopenia, congestive heart failure, and death. Vascular tumors should be differentiated from vascular malformations, which present at birth, have a quiescent endothelium, and grow in proportion to the child. Together, vascular tumors and malformations comprise the field of vascular anomalies.

Abstract
Angiosarcoma, epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, and Kaposi sarcoma are classified according to the line of differentiation that these neoplastic cells most closely resemble: the endothelial cell. Although these malignant vascular sarcomas demonstrate immunohistochemical and ultrastructural features typical of this lineage, they vary dramatically in presentation and behavior, reflecting oncologic mechanisms unique to each. Antineoplastic therapies offer significant benefit, but because of the rarity of these cancers, novel therapies are slow to develop, and treatment options for these cancers remain limited. Antiangiogenic approaches that have shown benefit in other malignancies have not fully realized their promise in vascular tumors, suggesting that these tumors do not depend entirely on either angiogenic growth factors or on neighboring endothelia that are affected by these agents. Nonetheless, translational studies have begun to unravel these distinct pathologies, identifying novel translocation products, targets of oncogenic virulence factors, and genomic mutations that hijack angiogenic signaling and drive malignant growth. Concurrently, an elaborate and highly regulated model of angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis involving vascular endothelial growth factor–receptor tyrosine kinase and TGF-β and Notch pathways has emerged that informs treatment of these tumors as well as cancer in general. This review summarizes the literature on malignant vascular sarcomas in the context of current models of angiogenesis and, in light of recent clinical trial data, could help clinician-scientists generate novel therapeutic approaches.

Abstract
Hepatic angiosarcoma is a rare, aggressive, malignant neoplasm with fewer than 50 cases reported in children. Prognosis is poor, with a minority surviving beyond 2 years after diagnosis. We report eight cases of pediatric hepatic angiosarcoma, diagnosed at a mean age of 3 years. Seven were initially diagnosed with an infantile hepatic hemangioendothelioma (IHHE) or hemangioma and the eighth with a "vascular tumor." Two patients, who received liver transplant, survived. We suggest hepatic hemangiomas can rarely transform into angiosarcomas and a subset of IHHEs (Type II) are actually a low-grade form of angiosarcoma rather than a benign lesion.

Abstract
Background Ovarian sarcomas represent less than 1% of all ovary cancers and usually are frequent in adults. Primary angiosarcomas are exceptional in the ovaries within children. Case presentation We reported a case of primary ovarian angiosarcoma in a 12-year-old girl in a resource-constrained context. Immunohistochemistry study showed the positivity of CD34, CD31, factor VIII, while S100 was negative. The diagnosis of primary non-metastatic angiosarcoma was retained. She was unable to undergo the CWS-2002P chemotherapy since her parents could not afford it. Conclusion This case report described a rare type of a primary ovarian angiosarcoma within a child, diagnosed in a low-income country in a laboratory with limited resources.

Abstract
Angiosarcomas are highly aggressive malignancies of vascular origin and are very rarely found in children. We report a case of a 13-year-old girl with a history of abdominal pain and increased abdominal girth. Radiologic imaging showed significant ascites and large pelvic masses involving bilateral adnexa with abdominal spread. Microscopic examination of a biopsy revealed pleomorphic epithelioid and spindle cells with brisk mitotic activity, intracytoplasmic vacuoles, vascular channels, and large areas of hemorrhage and necrosis. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed strong and diffuse positivity for CD31, D2-40, ERG, FLI-1, and focally for CD34, vWF, and EMA. The diagnosis of metastatic angiosarcoma was rendered. The patient was treated aggressively with systemic chemotherapy, immunotherapy, cytoreductive surgery, and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, with a favorable response after 1-year follow-up. Angiosarcoma should be considered when encountering a vascular tumor with pleomorphism, brisk mitotic activity, and necrosis. Immunohistochemistry studies are necessary for proper diagnosis.

Recurrent CIC Gene Abnormalities in Angiosarcomas: A Molecular Study of 120 Cases With Concurrent Investigation of PLCG1, KDR, MYC, and FLT4 Gene Alterations. Am J Surg Pathol 2016; 40:645-55. Abstract
Angiosarcoma (AS) is a rare sarcoma subtype showing considerable clinicopathologic and genetic heterogeneity. Most radiation-induced AS show MYC gene amplifications, with a subset of cases harboring KDR, PTPRB, and PLCG1 mutations. Despite recent advances, the genetic abnormalities of most primary AS remain undefined. Whole-transcriptome sequencing was initiated in 2 index cases of primary soft tissue AS with epithelioid morphology occurring in young adults for novel gene discovery. The candidate abnormalities were validated and then screened by targeted sequencing and fluorescence in situ hybridization in a large cohort of 120 well-characterized AS cases. Findings were subsequently correlated with the status of KDR, PLCG1, MYC, and FLT4 gene abnormalities. The clinicopathologic relevance and prognostic significance of these genetic changes were analyzed by statistical methods. Concurrent CIC mutations and CIC rearrangements were identified in both index cases, with a CIC-LEUTX fusion detected in 1 case. Upon screening, an additional visceral AS in a young adult had a complex CIC rearrangement, whereas 6 others harbored only CIC mutations. All 3 CIC-rearranged AS cases lacked vasoformation and had a solid growth of round, epithelioid to rhabdoid cells, showing immunoreactivity for CD31 and Ets-related gene and sharing a transcriptional signature with other round cell sarcomas, including CIC-rearranged tumors. Overall, CIC abnormalities occurred in 9% (9/98) of cases, affecting younger patients with primary AS, with an inferior disease-free survival. In contrast, PLCG1 and KDR mutations occurred in both primary and secondary AS cases, accounting for 9.5% and 7%, respectively, with a predilection for breast and bone/viscera location, regardless of MYC status. MYC amplification was present in most secondary AS related to breast cancer (91%) compared with other causes (25%) or primary AS (7%). FLT4-amplified AS lacked PLCG1/KDR mutations, occurring predominantly in MYC-amplified population, and showed poor prognosis.

Abstract
A 15-year-old boy presented with a mass in his right arm after suffering a minor injury playing baseball. He had been diagnosed with a hematoma. There was no other outstanding medical/surgical history. Magnetic resonance images showed a heterogeneous mass arising from the brachialis muscle that mainly enhanced peripherally with extremely scant internal nodular enhancement. Core needle biopsy cells were positive for CD31 and CD34, markers for atypical endothelial cells, as well as MIB-1 and p53. The final diagnosis was an angiosarcoma of the brachialis muscle. Pediatric angiosarcoma, particularly within deep tissue, is exceedingly rare. Histological and immunohistochemical modalities led to the diagnosis. Magnetic resonance images suggested a mass with a large cystic/hemorrhagic space that could have been misconstrued as a hematoma had there been absolutely no nodular or septal enhancement. The patient underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiation before undergoing limb-sparing surgery that included resection of the mass with the brachialis muscle and short head of the biceps muscle. Neoadjuvant treatment was deemed successful due to a drastic reduction in the size of the tumor and 95% tumor necrosis. The patient was disease free 2 years postoperatively. There had been no local/systemic recurrences. He was pain free, had normal elbow function, and had returned to playing baseball. It is important to be extremely suspicious when a patient presents with a hemorrhagic, painless, enlarging mass after sustaining minor trauma. A careful and meticulous biopsy must be completed to achieve the correct diagnosis. Magnetic resonance imaging with gadolinium is recommended for evaluation because these masses can be often misinterpreted as hematomas. [Orthopedics. 2016; 39(3):e545-e548.].

Abstract
PURPOSE To present our experience in abdominal transplantations to manage unresectable abdominal neoplasms in children and to describe the role of extensive surgeries in such cases. METHODS This is a retrospective study of 22 abdominal transplantations in 21 patients for abdominal tumors over 16 years. Transplantation techniques included liver transplant (LT), multivisceral transplant (MVTx), and intestinal autotransplant (IA). Follow-up intervals ranged from 0.3 to 168 months (median 20 months). RESULTS LT alone was performed in 15 patients for primary malignant (11) and benign (4) liver tumors. Pathological classification included HB hepatoblastoma (6), HCC hepatocellular cancer (3), hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma HEH (1), angiosarcoma (1), benign vascular tumors (3), and adenoma (1). IA was performed in four patients for lesions involving the root of the mesentery; tumors of the head of pancreas (3) and mesenteric hemangioma (1). MVTx was performed in 2 patients for malignancies; pancreaticoblastoma (1), recurrent hepatoblastoma (1), and in one patient as a rescue procedure after IA failure. Four of the eleven patients who underwent LT for malignant liver tumor had metastatic disease at presentation. Six of them died of recurrent neoplasm (3), transplant-related complications (2), and underlying disease (1). All LT patients who had benign tumors are alive with functioning grafts. All IA patients survived and are on an oral diet, with one patient requiring TPN supplementation. One of the three patients who underwent MVTx died of metastatic disease. CONCLUSIONS Allo/auto transplantation for abdominal tumors is a valuable modality when conventional treatments fail or are not feasible.

Abstract
Background Schwannoma and angiosarcoma are infrequent pathologies that have been rarely reported in the kidney. Angiosarcoma is an uncommon malignant tumor presenting a recognizable vascular differentiation. It can develop in any site but the most common locations include the skin, soft tissues, breast, bone, liver, and spleen while renal localization has been very rarely reported in the literature. Schwannoma is a benign peripheral nerve sheath tumor composed of cells with the immunophenotype and ultrastructural features of differentiated Schwann cells. It has a wide anatomical distribution but the most frequent locations include subcutaneous tissues of the extremities and the head and neck region and the retroperitoneal and mediastinal soft tissues. The occurrence of an angiosarcoma in a pre-existing schwannoma is an extremely rare event with <20 cases reported in worldwide literature. In the present study, a renal case of angiosarcoma arising in schwannoma is presented with a detailed review of the pertinent literature. Case Presentation A 56-year-old man was admitted with a few days history of lower back pain and hematuria. Abdominal ultrasound showed a mass inside the left renal medulla. Subsequent imaging investigations with computed tomography and magnetic resonance confirmed the presence of the lesion and showed a pulmonary metastasis. Conclusions The final histopathological examination led to the diagnosis of epithelioid angiosarcoma arising in a schwannoma. The patient came to death a few months later due to a massive hemothorax. To the best of our knowledge, the present is the first case of an angiosarcoma arising in a schwannoma of the kidney.

Abstract
Imaging of patients with vascular tumors and malformations has been sufficiently refined to answer pertinent questions when making treatment decisions in this challenging subgroup of pediatric patients. The imaging modalities at hand include conventional radiography, Doppler ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging with time-resolved, contrast-material enhanced magnetic resonance angiography. This review article will focus on the characteristic imaging features of some focal and diffuse vascular lesions, which have been classified by their clinical history and physical exam, and further labeled as a vascular tumor or slow-flow versus high-flow vascular malformation based on the updated classification system proposed by the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies. The recent advances in knowledge regarding the biology of these vascular anomalies have led to increased awareness of the current nomenclature. Moreover, with better understanding of the imaging features, the radiologist has become a key player in the multidisciplinary approach offered at various institutions where appropriate treatment algorithms and interventional strategies are put together. This is crucial in avoiding misdiagnosis and improper management.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Vascular soft-tissue sarcomas are a rare form of sarcoma. Malignant subtypes exhibit a variety of biological behaviors. We describe the clinicopathological characteristics and patient survival outcomes of malignant vascular soft-tissue sarcomas. METHODS We conducted a retrospective study on a cohort of 84 patients diagnosed with vascular tumors by histological examination at the Yonsei University College of Medicine between April 1987 and August 2011. The primary end point was overall survival (OS). RESULTS The angiosarcoma patients had a significantly shorter OS than the patients with other subtypes of sarcomas (59.0 and 142.7 months, respectively; p < 0.001). Upon multivariate analysis of survival in patients who underwent surgical resection, the following independent prognostic factors were identified: primary site (trunk, p = 0.001), age (older than 65 years, p < 0.001), pathology (angiosarcoma, p = 0.006) and R2 resection (p = 0.002). CONCLUSION The independent prognostic factors for shorter survival are the trunk as the primary site, malignant angiosarcoma and age (>65 years). Complete excision should be attempted for providing a survival advantage in the patients with localized disease. In addition, bleeding episodes are much more frequent in patients with a poor survival outcome.

Abstract
Dyskeratosis congenita (DC) is a multisystem disease caused by genetic mutations that result in defective telomere maintenance. Herein, we describe a 17-year-old patient with severe DC, manifested by bone marrow failure, severe immunodeficiency, and enterocolitis requiring prolonged infliximab therapy, who developed fatal hepatic failure caused by an aggressive, infiltrating hepatic angiosarcoma. Although DC patients have known increased risk of developing liver failure and multiple types of malignancy, this report is the first to describe angiosarcoma in a DC patient. Malignancy should thus be considered in the differential diagnosis of progressive liver dysfunction in DC patients.

Abstract
Subsets of cutaneous soft tissue tumors present morphologic features which are diagnostically challenging in part because of their ability to obscure the ultimate nature of the underlying neoplastic process. This review discusses entities, which in the authors' experience, present such challenges. The clinical, histologic, immunohistochemical, and where appropriate, molecular features of these entities are discussed along with their prognosis and differential diagnosis.

Abstract
Vascular anomalies in children and adolescents are the most common soft tissue lesions and include reactive, malformative, and neoplastic tumefactions, with a full spectrum of benign, intermediate, and malignant neoplasms. These lesions are diagnostically challenging because of morphologic complexity and recent changes in classification systems, some of which are based on clinical features and others on pathologic findings. In recent decades, there have been significant advances in clinical diagnosis, development of new therapies, and a better understanding of the genetic aspects of vascular biology and syndromes that include unusual vascular proliferations. Most vascular lesions in children and adolescents are benign, although the intermediate locally aggressive and intermediate rarely metastasizing neoplasms are important to distinguish from benign and malignant mimics. Morphologic recognition of a vasoproliferative lesion is straightforward in most instances, and conventional morphology remains the cornerstone for a specific diagnosis. However, pathologic examination is enhanced by adjunctive techniques, especially immunohistochemistry to characterize the type of vessels involved. Multifocality may cause some uncertainty regarding the assignment of "benign" or "malignant." However, increased interest in vascular anomalies, clinical expertise, and imaging technology have contributed greatly to our understanding of these disorders to the extent that in most vascular malformations and in many tumors, a diagnosis is made clinically and biopsy is not required for diagnosis. The importance of close collaboration between the clinical team and the pathologist cannot be overemphasized. For some lesions, a diagnosis is not possible from evaluation of histopathology alone, and in a subset of these, a specific diagnosis may not be possible even after all assembled data have been reviewed. In such instances, a consensus diagnosis in conjunction with clinical colleagues guides therapy. The purpose of this review is to delineate the clinicopathologic features of vascular lesions in children and adolescents with an emphasis on their unique aspects, use of diagnostic adjuncts, and differential diagnosis.

Abstract
Sarcomas of the female genital tract in general are rare and ovarian sarcomas comprise less than 1% of ovarian malignancies. In the literature there are 15 reported angiosarcomas of patients 21 year old and younger with no one originated in the ovary. We report a case of ovarian angiosarcoma in an 11 year old girl, presented with left side hip pain. MRI of abdomen and pelvis confirmed expansive solid and cystic mass occupied both ovaries. Imunohistochemistry staining was performed, CD34, Factor VIII, CD31, in order to confirm the diagnosis. Final diagnosis was angiosarcoma. The patient received 6 cycles of chemotherapy, according to the CWS-2002P protocol. 8 months after the diagnosis was established, there were no signs of any tumors according to the ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI. Although, extremely rare, angiosarcoma can also affect children and this diagnosis should be considered carefully in tumor with rich vascular network, necrosis and brisk mitotic activity.

Abstract
Angiosarcomas are rare tumors that predominantly affect adults. Hepatic angiosarcoma in a child is an extremely rare event and is associated with a poor prognosis. Herein, we report our experience in a case of hepatic angiosarcoma in a child who presented with a huge unresectable mass that underwent liver transplantation.

Angiosarcomas are rare tumors that predominantly affect adults and elderly patients. Although angiosarcomas are well described in a variety of clinical settings, they have been poorly studied in children and little is known about their biology, natural history, or optimal treatment. Childhood angiosarcomas are exceedingly rare. The head and neck region and mediastinum seem to be the preferred locations. Most tumors are high-grade tumors. Vasoformative architecture is not always obvious on light microscopy requiring the benefit of immunohistochemical study. The differential diagnosis includes Kaposi sarcoma, epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, hemangiopericytoma, and spindle cell hemangioendothelioma whose prognosis is different. Complete resection is required for patients with localized tumors. Malignant vascular tumors are rare in children in the first 2 decades of life and when they do occur they seem to be more aggressive than in adults. Pathologic diagnosis is difficult particularly in poorly differentiated angiosarcomas requiring immunohistochemical study to confirm vascular differentiation.

Abstract
Angiosarcoma is a rare tumour of endothelial cell origin whilst malignant skull base tumours are highly unusual in paediatric patients. This case reports an angiosarcoma involving the clivus and basi-sphenoid region of the skull base, in a 1-year-old boy. This tumour is extremely rare in childhood, particularly in this site. The histological features were consistent with a high-grade haemangioendothelioma, categorised as an angiosarcoma. The characteristics of this rare malignancy and the challenges in its management are discussed. This is the youngest reported patient, to our knowledge, with an angiosarcoma of the skull base.
