Abstract
To determine the definition, foundation, practice, and development of evidence-based rehabilitation medicine (EBRM) and point out the development direction for EBRM. Retrieve the database of PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, and China science and technology journal database (CSTJ). The search was conducted from the establishment of the database to June 2023. The key words are "rehabilitation medicine and evidence based" in Chinese and English. After reading the abstract or full text of the literature, a summary analysis is conducted to determine the definition, foundation, practice, and development of EBRM. A total of 127 articles were included. The development of 14 sub majors in EBRM are not balanced, evidence-based musculoskeletal rehabilitation medicine (EBMRM) (31 articles, mainly focuses on osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and musculoskeletal pain), evidence-based neurorehabilitation medicine (EBNM) (34 articles, mainly concentrated in stroke, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury) and evidence-based education rehabilitation medicine (EBEDRM) (17 articles, mainly focuses on educational methodology), evidence-based nursing rehabilitation medicine (EBNRM) (2 articles), evidence-based engineering rehabilitation medicine (EBENRM) (7 articles), evidence-based traditional Chinese rehabilitation medicine (EBTCRM) (3 articles), evidence-based internal rehabilitation medicine (EBIRM) (11 articles), evidence-based intensive care rehabilitation medicine (EBICRM) (4 articles), evidence-based oncology rehabilitation medicine (EBORM) (6 articles), evidence-based physical therapy medicine (EBPTM) (3 articles), evidence-based cardiopulmonary rehabilitation medicine (EBCRM) (6 articles), evidence-based speech therapy medicine (EBSTM)/evidence-based occupation therapy medicine (EBOTM)/evidence-based geriatric rehabilitation medicine (EBGRM) (1 article). The EBMRM, EBNM and EBEDRM are relatively well developed. The development of EBNRM, EBENRM, EBTCRM, EBIRM, EBICRM, EBGRM, EBORM, EBCRM, EBPTM, EBSTM and EBOTM is relatively slow, indicating these eleven fields should be pay more attention in future.

Abstract
SUMMARY Aesthetic surgery is a visual specialty in which plastic surgeons and patients work together to enhance or restore facial and body harmony. The field of aesthetic surgery is advanced through descriptive technical procedures and outcomes research. With increasing competition in cosmetic medicine, aesthetic surgery stands to benefit from an evidence-based approach to document the high standards of care from board-certified plastic surgeons. In this article, the authors highlight challenges, current objective and subjective outcomes, and a path forward.

Abstract
Background The stromal vascular fraction (SVF) has been widely explored in a number of therapeutic applications in several specialties. Its therapeutic potential is being increasingly demonstrated, although its mechanism of action is still unclear. Objective To evaluate the quality of studies reporting on clinical applications of SVF. Method This is a systematic literature review that followed the PRISMA guidelines with the search of the studies from December 1, 2012, to December 1, 2022, in the following databases: MEDLINE, LILACS and EMBASE. The level of evidence of the studies was assessed using the GRADE system, and the rigor used in the publication of the results was assessed in relation to adherence to the guidelines indicated by the EQUATOR Network Group. The CLINIC - STRA-SVF reporting guideline was developed after the completion of this systematic review. Results A total of 538 articles were found, and 77 articles were selected after reading the titles and abstracts and removing duplicates. Then, 15 studies were removed for not meeting the inclusion criteria, leaving 62 studies. The CLINIC - STRA-SVF was developed and consists of 33 items and two tables. Conclusion There is scientific evidence, although mostly with a low level of evidence, that the use of SVF in clinical applications is safe and effective. The information published in these studies should be standardized, and the CLINIC - STRA-SVF reporting guideline proposed in this study may assist in the design, conduct, recording and reporting of clinical trials and others clinical studies involving the SVF.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Understanding country differences in production and human capital in plastic surgery research is crucial in identifying current and future leaders in the field. In this study, we document each country's human capital and productivity in plastic surgery research. METHODS A web scraping algorithm was deployed on PubMed to retrieve information on every publication and every first author in 10 major research outlets in plastic surgery between 2015 and 2021. Each country's human capital in the field is proxied by the number of first authors affiliated with that country. We compare aggregate patterns and volume trajectories of publications affiliated with 110 countries in the context of their human capital. RESULTS We find that over the studied period, two countries, the USA and China, are represented in roughly 50% and 45% of global research output and first authors, respectively, in plastic surgery. Specifically in the USA, California has the highest number of affiliated first authors and publications compared with other States. CONCLUSIONS Our findings reveal the clear dominance of the USA in plastic surgery research production. No specific US State stands out in the nation as much as the USA does in the global ranking of plastic surgery publications. This suggests that US plastic surgeons across the nation aim to publish. Our global analysis also suggests that countries with a higher share of first authors relative to their research output may have greater capacity to expand their research output in the future. Abstract
BACKGROUND Industry funding of research studies can cause the results in the field of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery to be biased towards the sponsors. This paper aims to review randomised clinical trials (RCTs) published by leading international journals in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery with respect to characteristics and possible industry-friendly conclusions in favour of those funding the study. MATERIAL AND METHODS Characteristic data and funding of RCTs published by leading international plastic surgery journals from January 2010 to January 2022 were evaluated. The studies were categorised based on their thematic focus and the results in light of the existing funding. RESULTS A total of 381 RCTs were included in the analysis, 68.5% of which were from a university (n=261). The larger proportion of studies did not disclose any information about the research funding. While 26% (n=98) of the studies analysed were funded by companies, 9.7% (n=37) were funded by universities/the government (p<0.05, 95% confidence interval). The overall focus of private clinics was aesthetics (n=32). Generally, the topic aesthetics (n=153) was funded by industry in 28 of 100 cases (28% industry/private sponsors compared with 9% university/government). Regarding reconstruction/burns/hand surgery, 9.2% of studies were funded by companies/private sponsors. Funding for research by university-based institutions was industry-sponsored in 25% (n=64) of cases. Regarding industry-sponsored studies, 73% (n=71) of the results were product-friendly in their conclusion (p<0.05, 95% confidence interval) and placed their thematic focus on therapeutic drug/product application (n=50, 75%). CONCLUSION In terms of funding, industry and private sponsors take a leading role both in reconstruction and aesthetics. Nonetheless, the majority of the evaluated studies were not financed by the private sector. In cases where the research was funded by private companies, the results were significantly in favour of the product. Aesthetics as a focus is currently more frequently funded by industry than reconstruction, burn, and hand surgery.

Abstract
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) incorporated the level of evidence (LOE) pyramid in 2011 to highlight evidence-based medicine in plastic surgery. This study aimed to assess the relationship between the profile of senior authors publishing in PRS and the LOE of publications.
