Characterizations of generalized Robertson-Walker spacetimes concerning gradient solitons

In this article, we examine gradient type Ricci solitons and ( m , τ ) -quasi Einstein solitons in generalized Robertson-Walker (GRW) spacetimes. Besides, we demonstrate that in this scenario the GRW spacetime presents the Robertson-Walker (RW) spacetime and the perfect fluid (PF) spacetime presents the phantom era. Consequently, we show that if a GRW spacetime permits a gradient τ-Einstein solitons, then it also represents a PF spacetime under certain condition.

General Relativistic Space-Time with η1-Einstein Metrics

The present research paper consists of the study of an η1-Einstein soliton in general relativistic space-time with a torse-forming potential vector field. Besides this, we try to evaluate the characterization of the metrics when the space-time with a semi-symmetric energy-momentum tensor admits an η1-Einstein soliton, whose potential vector field is torse-forming. In adition, certain curvature conditions on the space-time that admit an η1-Einstein soliton are explored and build up the importance of the Laplace equation on the space-time in terms of η1-Einstein soliton. Lastly, we have given some physical accomplishment with the connection of dust fluid, dark fluid and radiation era in general relativistic space-time admitting an η1-Einstein soliton.

Geometrical origins of the universe dark sector: string-inspired torsion and anomalies as seeds for inflation and dark matter

In a modest attempt to present potentially new paradigms in cosmology, including its inflationary epoch, and initiate discussions, I review in this article some novel, string-inspired cosmological models, which entail a purely geometrical origin of the dark sector of the Universe but also of its observed matter-antimatter asymmetry. The models contain gravitational (string-model independent, Kalb-Ramond (KR)) axion fields coupled to primordial gravitational anomalies via CP-violating interactions. The anomaly terms are four-space-time-dimensional remnants of the Green-Schwarz counterterms appearing in the definition of the field strength of the spin-one antisymmetric tensor field of the (bosonic) massless gravitational string multiplet, which also plays the role of a totally antisymmetric component of torsion. I show how in such cosmologies the presence of primordial gravitational waves can lead to anomaly condensates and dynamical inflation of a 'running-vacuum-model' type, without external inflatons, but also to leptogenesis in the radiation era due to anomaly induced Lorentz and CPT violating KR axion backgrounds. I also discuss how the torsion-related KR-axion could acquire a mass during the QCD epoch, thus playing the role of (a component of) dark matter. Phenomenological considerations of the inflationary and post-inflationary (in particular, modern) eras of the model are briefly discussed, including its potential for alleviating the observed tensions in the cosmological data of the current epoch. A Real Scalar Field Unifying the Early Inflation and the Late Accelerating Expansion of the Universe through a Quadratic Equation of State: The Vacuumon

In a previous paper we introduced a cosmological model describing the early inflation, the intermediate decelerated expansion, and the late accelerating expansion of the universe in terms of a single barotropic fluid characterized by a quadratic equation of state. We obtained a scalar field representation of this fluid and determined the potential V(ϕ) connecting the inflaton potential in the early universe to the quintessence potential in the late universe. This scalar field has later been called the `vacuumon’ by other authors, in the context of the Running Vacuum model. In this paper, we study how the scalar field potential is modified by the presence of other cosmic components such as stiff matter, black-body radiation, baryonic matter, and dark matter. We also determine the mass m and the self-interaction constant λ of the scalar field given by the second and fourth derivatives of the potential at its extrema. We find that its mass is imaginary in the early universe with a modulus of the order of the Planck mass MP=(ℏc/G)1/2=1.22×1019GeV/c2 and real in the late universe with a value of the order of the cosmon mass mΛ=(Λℏ2/c4)1/2=2.08×10−33eV/c2 predicted by string theory. Although our model is able to describe the evolution of the homogeneous background for all times, it cannot account for the spectrum of fluctuations in the early universe. Indeed, by applying the Hamilton–Jacobi formalism to our model of early inflation, we find that the Hubble hierarchy parameters and the spectral indices lead to severe discrepancies with the observations. This suggests that the vacuumon potential is just an effective classical potential that cannot be directly used to compute the fluctuations in the early universe. A fully quantum field theory may be required to achieve that goal. Finally, we discuss the connection between our model based on a quadratic equation of state and the Running Vacuum model which assumes a variation of the cosmological constant with the Hubble parameter.

f(R,T)-Gravity Model with Perfect Fluid Admitting Einstein Solitons

f(R,T)-gravity is a generalization of Einstein’s field equations (EFEs) and f(R)-gravity. In this research article, we demonstrate the virtues of the f(R,T)-gravity model with Einstein solitons (ES) and gradient Einstein solitons (GES). We acquire the equation of state of f(R,T)-gravity, provided the matter of f(R,T)-gravity is perfect fluid. In this series, we give a clue to determine pressure and density in radiation and phantom barrier era, respectively. It is proved that if a f(R,T)-gravity filled with perfect fluid admits an Einstein soliton (g,ρ,λ) and the Einstein soliton vector field ρ of (g,ρ,λ) is Killing, then the scalar curvature is constant and the Ricci tensor is proportional to the metric tensor. We also establish the Liouville’s equation in the f(R,T)-gravity model. Next, we prove that if a f(R,T)-gravity filled with perfect fluid admits a gradient Einstein soliton, then the potential function of gradient Einstein soliton satisfies Poisson equation. We also establish some physical properties of the f(R,T)-gravity model together with gradient Einstein soliton.

Torsion in String-Inspired Cosmologies and the Universe Dark Sector

Several aspects of torsion in string-inspired cosmologies are reviewed. In particular, its connection with fundamental, string-model independent, axion fields associated with the massless gravitational multiplet of the string are discussed. It is argued in favour of the role of primordial gravitational anomalies coupled to such axions in inducing inflation of a type encountered in the “Running-Vacuum-Model (RVM)” cosmological framework, without fundamental inflaton fields. The gravitational-anomaly terms owe their existence to the Green–Schwarz mechanism for the (extra-dimensional) anomaly cancellation, and may be non-trivial in such theories in the presence of (primordial) gravitational waves at early stages of the four-dimensional string universe (after compactification). The paper also discusses how the torsion-induced stringy axions can acquire a mass in the post inflationary era, due to non-perturbative effects, thus having the potential to play the role of (a component of) dark matter in such models. Finally, the current-era phenomenology of this model is briefly described with emphasis placed on the possibility of alleviating tensions observed in the current-era cosmological data. A brief phenomenological comparison with other cosmological models in contorted geometries is also made.

String-Inspired Running Vacuum—The “Vacuumon”—And the Swampland Criteria

We elaborate further on the compatibility of the “vacuumon potential” that characterises the inflationary phase of the running vacuum model (RVM) with the swampland criteria. The work is motivated by the fact that, as demonstrated recently by the authors, the RVM framework can be derived as an effective gravitational field theory stemming from underlying microscopic (critical) string theory models with gravitational anomalies, involving condensation of primordial gravitational waves. Although believed to be a classical scalar field description, not representing a fully fledged quantum field, we show here that the vacuumon potential satisfies certain swampland criteria for the relevant regime of parameters and field range. We link the criteria to the Gibbons–Hawking entropy that has been argued to characterise the RVM during the de Sitter phase. These results imply that the vacuumon may, after all, admit under certain conditions, a rôle as a quantum field during the inflationary (almost de Sitter) phase of the running vacuum. The conventional slow-roll interpretation of this field, however, fails just because it satisfies the swampland criteria. The RVM effective theory derived from the low-energy effective action of string theory does, however, successfully describe inflation thanks to the ∼H4 terms induced by the gravitational anomalous condensates. In addition, the stringy version of the RVM involves the Kalb–Ramond (KR) axion field, which, in contrast to the vacuumon, does perfectly satisfy the slow-roll condition. We conclude that the vacuumon description is not fully equivalent to the stringy formulation of the RVM. Our study provides a particularly interesting example of a successful phenomenological theory beyond the ΛCDM, such as the RVM, in which the fulfilment of the swampland criteria by the associated scalar field potential, along with its compatibility with (an appropriate form of) the weak gravity conjecture, prove to be insufficient conditions for warranting consistency of the scalar vacuum field representation as a faithful ultraviolet complete representation of the RVM at the quantum gravity level.
