Abstract
This Letter demonstrates for chaotic maps [logistic, classical, and quantum standard maps (SMs)] that the exponential growth rate (Λ) of the out-of-time-ordered four-point correlator is equal to the classical Lyapunov exponent (λ) plus fluctuations (Δ^{(fluc)}) of the one-step finite-time Lyapunov exponents (FTLEs). Jensen's inequality provides the upper bound λ≤Λ for the considered systems. Equality is restored with Λ=λ+Δ^{(fluc)}, where Δ^{(fluc)} is quantified by k-higher-order cumulants of the (covariant) FTLEs. Exact expressions for Λ are derived and numerical results using k=20 furnish Δ^{(fluc)}∼ln(sqrt[2]) for all maps (large kicking intensities in the SMs).

Abstract
Several dynamical systems in nature can be maintained out-of-equilibrium, either through mutual interaction of particles or by external fields. The particle’s transport and the transient dynamics are landmarking of such systems. While single ratchet systems are genuine candidates to describe unbiased transport, we demonstrate here that coupled ratchets exhibit collective transient ratchet transport. The lifetimes of the transient RCs increase with N and decrease with the coupling strength between the ratchets. We demonstrate one peculiar case having a coupling-induced transient RC through the asymmetric destruction of attractors. Results suggest that physical devices built with coupled ratchet systems should present large collective transient transport of particles, whose technological applications are undoubtedly appealing and feasible.

Abstract
This work presents numerical evidence that for discrete dynamical systems with one positive Lyapunov exponent the decay of the distance autocorrelation is always related to the Lyapunov exponent. Distinct decay laws for the distance autocorrelation are observed for different systems, namely, exponential decays for the quadratic map, logarithmic for the Hénon map, and power-law for the conservative standard map. In all these cases the decay exponent is close to the positive Lyapunov exponent. For hyperchaotic conservative systems the power-law decay of the distance autocorrelation is not directly related to any Lyapunov exponent.

Abstract
By means of studying the evolution equation for the Wigner distributions of quantum dissipative systems we derive the quantum corrections to the classical Liouville dynamics, taking into account the standard quantum friction model. The resulting evolution turns out to be the classical one plus fluctuations that depend not only on the ℏ size but also on the momentum and the dissipation parameter (i.e., the coupling with the environment). On the other hand, we extend our studies of a paradigmatic system based on the kicked rotator, and we confirm that by adding fluctuations only depending on the size of the Planck constant we essentially recover the quantum behavior. This is systematically measured in the parameter space with the overlaps and differences in the dispersion of the marginal distributions corresponding to the Wigner functions. Taking into account these results and analyzing the Wigner evolution equation we conjecture that the chaotic nature of our system is responsible for the independence on the momentum, while the dependence on the dissipation is provided implicitly by the dynamics.

Abstract
We study the properties of classical and quantum stable structures in a three-dimensional (3D) parameter space corresponding to the dissipative kicked top. This is a model system in quantum and classical chaos that gives a starting point for many body examples. We are able to identify the influence of these structures in the spectra and eigenstates of the corresponding (super)operators. This provides a complementary view with respect to the typical two-dimensional parameter space systems found in the literature. Many properties of the eigenstates, like its localization behavior, can be generalized to this higher-dimensional parameter space and spherical phase space topology. Moreover, we find a 3D phenomenon-generalizable to more dimensions-that we call the coalescence-separation of (q)ISSs, whose main consequence is a marked enhancement of quantum localization. This could be of relevance for systems that have attracted a lot of attention very recently.

Abstract
The intermediate dynamics of composed one-dimensional maps is used to multiply attractors in phase space and create multiple independent bifurcation diagrams which can split apart. Results are shown for the composition of k-paradigmatic quadratic maps with distinct values of parameters generating k-independent bifurcation diagrams with corresponding k orbital points. For specific conditions, the basic mechanism for creating the shifted diagrams is the prohibition of period doubling bifurcations transformed in saddle-node bifurcations.

Abstract
By analyzing a paradigmatic example of the theory of dissipative systems-the classical and quantum dissipative standard map-we are able to explain the main features of the decay to the quantum equilibrium state. The classical isoperiodic stable structures typically present in the parameter space of these kinds of systems play a fundamental role. In fact, we have found that the period of stable structures that are near in this space determines the phase of the leading eigenstates of the corresponding quantum superoperator. Moreover, the eigenvectors show a strong localization on the corresponding periodic orbits (limit cycles). We show that this sort of scarring phenomenon (an established property of Hamiltonian and projectively open systems) is present in the dissipative case and it is of extreme simplicity.

Abstract
In this work, we show how the composition of maps allows us to multiply, enlarge, and move stable domains in phase and parameter spaces of discrete nonlinear systems. Using Hénon maps with distinct parameters, we generate many identical copies of isoperiodic stable structures (ISSs) in the parameter space and attractors in phase space. The equivalence of the identical ISSs is checked by the largest Lyapunov exponent analysis, and the multiplied basins of attraction become riddled. Our proliferation procedure should be applicable to any two-dimensional nonlinear system.

Abstract
In the context of dissipative systems, we show that for any quantum chaotic attractor a corresponding classical chaotic attractor can always be found. We provide a general way to locate them, rooted in the structure of the parameter space (which is typically bidimensional, accounting for the forcing strength and dissipation parameters). In cases where an approximate pointlike quantum distribution is found, it can be associated with exceptionally large regular structures. Moreover, supposedly anomalous quantum chaotic behavior can be very well reproduced by the classical dynamics plus Gaussian noise of the size of an effective Planck constant ℏ_{eff}. We give support to our conjectures by means of two paradigmatic examples of quantum chaos and transport theory. In particular, a dissipative driven system becomes fundamental in order to extend their validity to generic cases.

Abstract
We study the effects of a finite kicked environment (bath) composed of N harmonic oscillators on the particle transport in a weakly dissipative quasisymmetric potential system. The small spatial asymmetry is responsible for the appearance of directed particle transport without a net bias, known as the ratchet transport. The whole dynamics is governed by a generalized map where dissipation in the system emerges due to its interaction with the kicked environment. Distinct spectral densities are imposed to the bath oscillators and play an essential role in such models. By changing the functional form of the spectral density, we observe that the transport can be optimized or even suppressed. We show evidences that the transport optimization is related to stability properties of periodic points of the ratchet system and depends on the bath temperature. In a Markovian approach, transport can be increased or suppressed depending on the bath influence.

Abstract
Ratchets rectify the motion of randomly moving particles, which are driven by isotropic sources of energy such as thermal and chemical energy, without applying a net, time-averaged force between source and drain. This paper describes the behavior of a damped electron, modeled by a quantum Lindblad master equation, within a flashing ratchet (a one-dimensional potential that oscillates between a flat surface and a periodic asymmetric surface). By examining the complete space of all biharmonic potential shapes and a large range of oscillation frequencies, two modes of ratchet operation, differentiated by their oscillation frequencies (relative to the rate of electron relaxation), are identified. Slow-oscillating, strong friction ratchets operate by a classical, overdamped mechanism. In fast-oscillating, weak friction ratchets, current is primarily produced when the frequency of the oscillating potential is resonant with the beating of the electron wave function in the potential well. The shape of the ratchet potential determines the direction of the current (and, in some cases, straightforwardly accounts for current reversals), but the maximum achievable current at any shape is controlled by the degree of friction applied to the electron.

Abstract
We systematically study several classical-quantum correspondence properties of the dissipative modified kicked rotator, a paradigmatic ratchet model. We explore the behavior of the asymptotic currents for finite ℏ_{eff} values in a wide range of the parameter space. We find that the correspondence between the classical currents with thermal noise providing fluctuations of size ℏ_{eff} and the quantum ones without it is very good in general with the exception of specific regions. We systematically consider the spectra of the corresponding classical Perron-Frobenius operators and quantum superoperators. By means of an average distance between the classical and quantum sets of eigenvalues we find that the correspondence is unexpectedly quite uniform. This apparent contradiction is solved with the help of the Weyl-Wigner distributions of the equilibrium eigenvectors, which reveal the key role of quantum effects by showing surviving coherences in the asymptotic states.

Abstract
Chaos and regularity are routinely discriminated by using Lyapunov exponents distilled from the norm of orthogonalized Lyapunov vectors, propagated during the temporal evolution of the dynamics. Such exponents are mean-field-like averages that, for each degree of freedom, squeeze the whole temporal evolution complexity into just a single number. However, Lyapunov vectors also contain a step-by-step record of what exactly happens with the angles between stable and unstable manifolds during the whole evolution, a big-data information permanently erased by repeated orthogonalizations. Here, we study changes of angles between invariant subspaces as observed during temporal evolution of Hénon’s system. Such angles are calculated numerically and analytically and used to characterize self-similarity of a chaotic attractor. In addition, we show how standard tools of dynamical systems may be angle-enhanced by dressing them with informations not difficult to extract. Such angle-enhanced tools reveal unexpected and practical facts that are described in detail. For instance, we present a video showing an angle-enhanced bifurcation diagram that exposes from several perspectives the complex geometrical features underlying the attractors. We believe such findings to be generic for extended classes of systems.
