Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the entanglement generation of n-qubit states in a model consisting of n independent qubits, each coupled to a harmonic oscillator which is in turn coupled to a bath of N additional harmonic oscillators with nearest-neighbor coupling. With analysis, we can find that the steady multipartite entanglement with different values can be generated after a long-time evolution for different sizes of the quantum system. Under weak coupling between the system and the harmonic oscillator, multipartite entanglement can monotonically increase from zero to a stable value. Under strong coupling, multipartite entanglement generation shows a speed-up increase accompanied by some oscillations as non-Markovian behavior. Our results imply that the strong coupling between the harmonic oscillator and the N additional harmonic oscillators, and the large size of the additional oscillators will enhance non-Markovian dynamics and make it take a very long time for the entanglement to reach a stable value. Meanwhile, the couplings between the additional harmonic oscillators and the decay rate of additional harmonic oscillators have almost no effect on the multipartite entanglement generation. Finally, the entanglement generation of the additional harmonic oscillators is also discussed.

Abstract
We analyze the controlled teleportation protocol through three-qubit mixed states. In particular, we investigate the relation between the faithfulness of the controlled teleportation scheme and entanglement. While our knowledge concerning controlled teleportation and entanglement in pure states is well established, for mixed states it is considerably much harder task and very little has been done in this field. Here, we present counterintuitive results that provide a new light on controlled teleportation protocol. It is shown that even mixed biseparable states are useful for this protocol along with genuine entangled three-qubit states.

Abstract
The relevance of the concept of Fisher information is increasing in both statistical physics and quantum computing. From a statistical mechanical standpoint, the application of Fisher information in the kinetic theory of gases is characterized by its decrease along the solutions of the Boltzmann equation for Maxwellian molecules in the two-dimensional case. From a quantum mechanical standpoint, the output state in Grover's quantum search algorithm follows a geodesic path obtained from the Fubini-Study metric on the manifold of Hilbert-space rays. Additionally, Grover's algorithm is specified by constant Fisher information. In this paper, we present an information geometric characterization of the oscillatory or monotonic behavior of statistically parametrized squared probability amplitudes originating from special functional forms of the Fisher information function: constant, exponential decay, and power-law decay. Furthermore, for each case, we compute both the computational speed and the availability loss of the corresponding physical processes by exploiting a convenient Riemannian geometrization of useful thermodynamical concepts. Finally, we briefly comment on the possibility of using the proposed methods of information geometry to help identify a suitable trade-off between speed and thermodynamic efficiency in quantum search algorithms.

Abstract
Quantifying entanglement in composite systems is a fundamental challenge, yet exact results are available in only a few special cases. This is because hard optimization problems are routinely involved, such as finding the convex decomposition of a mixed state with the minimal average pure-state entanglement, the so-called convex roof. We show that under certain conditions such a problem becomes trivial. Precisely, we prove by a geometric argument that polynomial entanglement measures of degree 2 are independent of the choice of pure-state decomposition of a mixed state, when the latter has only one pure unentangled state in its range. This allows for the analytical evaluation of convex roof extended entanglement measures in classes of rank-2 states obeying such a condition. We give explicit examples for the square root of the three-tangle in three-qubit states, and we show that several representative classes of four-qubit pure states have marginals that enjoy this property.

Renormalization-group approach to quantum Fisher information in an XY model with staggered Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. Sci Rep 2016; 6:19359. Abstract
We investigate the quantum Fisher information and quantum phase transitions of an XY spin chain with staggered Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction using the quantum renormalization-group method. The quantum Fisher information, its first-derivatives, and the finite-size scaling behaviors are rigorously calculated respectively. The singularity of the derivatives at the phase transition point as a function of lattice size is carefully discussed and it is revealed that the scaling exponent for quantum Fisher information at the critical point can be used to describe the correlation length of this model, addressing the substantial role of staggered Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction in modulating quantum phase transitions.

Abstract
Identical particles and entanglement are both fundamental components of quantum mechanics. However, when identical particles are condensed in a single spatial mode, the standard notions of entanglement, based on clearly identifiable subsystems, break down. This has led many to conclude that such systems have limited value for quantum information tasks, compared to distinguishable particle systems. To the contrary, we show that any entanglement formally appearing amongst the identical particles, including entanglement due purely to symmetrization, can be extracted into an entangled state of independent modes, which can then be applied to any task. In fact, the entanglement of the mode system is in one-to-one correspondence with the entanglement between the inaccessible identical particles. This settles the long-standing debate about the resource capabilities of such states, in particular spin-squeezed states of Bose-Einstein condensates, while also revealing a new perspective on how and when entanglement is generated in passive optical networks. Our results thus reveal new fundamental connections between entanglement, squeezing, and indistinguishability.

Abstract
We show that quantum Fisher information provides a sufficient condition to recognize multiparticle entanglement in an N qubit state. The same criterion gives a necessary and sufficient condition for sub-shot-noise phase sensitivity in the estimation of a collective rotation angle theta. The analysis therefore singles out the class of entangled states which are useful to overcome classical phase sensitivity in metrology and sensors. We finally study the creation of useful entangled states by the nonlinear dynamical evolution of two decoupled Bose-Einstein condensates or trapped ions.
